stellah Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 A bit pricy, but some are rather unique Great shoes and boots indeed! But pricy alright At that price they must have great quality and comfort... _______________ HH forever!
alfheel Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 Great quality for sure, I've tested their stuff many times, and I'll probably check their new collection for real in the next few days (or hours...) !!! Comfort ? Well... comfort is a rather subjective concept, if you can handle 14cm heels easily, that's right, the whole collection is really comfortable Price ? That's their weakest point, yes they are expensive, but what's the right price for high quality leather shoes ? Add to this that they are really nice and let you look and try whatever you want, and can give you great advice, and the price is not so high :-)
hoverfly Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 These are interesting....I like them. Any one else? Hello,  my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee!  👠1998 to 2022!
gj Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 These are interesting....I like them. Any one else? Wow, this is different, ankle and kneeboot in one!! their site looks great. Thinking of it, paris is 6 hrs driving.... i might go GJ small or big doesn't matter, wear your heels proud .... that is!
Gizmo Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 Yes interesting ankle to trousers and knee high to skirt !!!!! sth similar found on www.pollini.com but those were pumps with sth extra
Highluc Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 quote: their site looks great. Thinking of it, paris is 6 hrs driving.... i might go GJ unquote. If you need a copilot for that trip I'm up, I saw some black wedge houseslippers that would feel great on my feet. Be youself, enjoy any footwear you like and don't care about what others think about it, it's your life, not theirs. Greetings from Laurence
Laurieheels Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Yes, I like them. I would prefer the ankle boot to be closer to the ankle, sure, but the knee high attachment makes it a great boot that I would love to own.
Arctic Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 quote: their site looks great. Thinking of it, paris is 6 hrs driving.... i might go GJ unquote. Park in Brussels Midi and Take the Thalys, Luc... That goes super fast. Less than 2h 30 minutes from your place till Paris Nord if you go before or after the parking rush. And it's only 54 EUR or something. Brussels-Paris-Brussels. Please also go to take a look in Lafayette on my behalf. I was there in april and they had TONS of summer shoes but I'm a boot guy, so nothing for me then... Bert What's all the fuss about?
gj Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 looked at them again. wow wow wow. then i looked at the size. .... max 41 that will not work for me, !##^$&^&%@#$!@#! (no swearing, censored) Sorry Highluc, i would like to go to paris, but not for these babys GJ small or big doesn't matter, wear your heels proud .... that is!
Firefox Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 I was going to post a picture of the gaitor knee/ankle boots, as I thought they were tres (should be at Er220!) but people beat me to it. I like my ankle boots a bit shorter by choice also. Also too many very thin heels. I like thin ones, but I also like the other heel shapes. I suppose Ernest are famous for their escarpins, so I'm not moaning too much
Dawn HH Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 I'm quite impressed with the ankle boot with the knee boot attachment. Nothing like that over here that I know of. Just think---two pairs of boots for the price of one pair. Now the price doesn't seem so high. I wonder if they would be available in a chunky heel, which is what I need? Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Secreto Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 I saw a pair similar to them in Oxfors St (London, UK) in the Jan sale for £35. They were in the sale because they only had one pair - a UK 3. Hmmm, life just 'aint fair sometimes! I really like them. Ages ago I went out with a girl who's friend had a flat riding boot equivalent. Although she was a 5, I had to try the gator with a pair of my own hh boots - ever since, I've always really liked them. When woman get taller, their shoes will fit me better.
Dawn HH Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 Secreto:-) Pardon me for being dumb---what does "try the gator" refer to? High Heeled Boots Forever!
chris100575 Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 It should be "try the gaiter". A gaiter is a covering for the lower leg and often the top of the foot, similar to the removed leg part of the knee / ankle boots.
Bubba136 Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 apparently something like leggings like those worn by WW II soldiers. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
genebujold Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Ernest have updated their webpage and have som new interesting models for sale. A bit pricy, but some are rather unique. Check it out: http://www.ernest.fr Sorry, but I'd like to see a shoe manufacturer that desires to work in: 1. Real leather 2. Heels beginning at a modest 2" for those of us who're less inclided to wear high heels.
Secreto Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Sorry all, it often helps if you can spell what your talking about correctly! gaiter for legs opposed to gator which eats them! When woman get taller, their shoes will fit me better.
Dawn HH Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004   O-O-O-K-A-A-A=Y Bubba 136, Chris100575, and Secreto---I understand now, that's a gator (gaiter) of a different color. Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
J-Nation Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 Sorry, but I'd like to see a shoe manufacturer that desires to work in: 1. Real leather 2. Heels beginning at a modest 2" for those of us who're less inclided to wear high heels. That'll be why their tagline on the website doesn't say "Ernest - the Modest Heel Specialist" then! Emma
Dawn HH Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Emma J Nation:-) For years I wore cowboy boots with a 2" heel and it was like having no heel at all. I like having a high enough heel so I can feel the sensation of knowing that I have a heel under me with each step I take. Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
