LukeVibertUK Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 One to watch Nice shoes, infact great shoes ...unfortunatly my bank balance won't quite align to the bids going in on this pair! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vivienne-Westwood-Rare-7-Heel-Platform-Shoes_W0QQitemZ7720667088QQcategoryZ53567QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Watch this space!
Dr. Shoe Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Don't like em. What I want to know is that when I try to sell something like that the most I get is abot 50p! Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
terayon Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 ya not really my cup of tea either. I wouldnt pay such an obscene amount of money for them either unless they were custom made just for my foot and didnt look like that. Oh well, apparently a lot of people like them and are willing to pay that, as the 15bidders would suggest. did you bid on them?
JeffB Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 In a word----UGH!! Definitely not my cup of tea! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
taliheels Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 i like westwoods shoes - but not these ones
LukeVibertUK Posted October 30, 2005 Author Posted October 30, 2005 Even so if you do or dont like them, i think they are bonkers barmy paying that kinda money!
nhoj62 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 nice pairs of shoes. but wot a stupid price tag. those bidders are paying for the label more than the shoe. later nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
chris100575 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 If they were my size, and a *lot* cheaper, I certainly wouldn't mind trying them on! Chris
jim Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'm a Wesrwood fan as well but those things leave me "stone motherless cold." They may have fetched 450 quid but they still look cheap to me.. jim
jo Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 The description says 7 inch heel and 4 inch platform, but when you look at the image, the platform is only one-third the height of the heel....
Dawn HH Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Not my cup of tea either and certainly too rich for my blood on the cost. Those people have got to be "Looney Tunes" to pay that much. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
ShockQueen Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I echo the price sentiments of the others.....way too overpriced for a pair of heels. What I find interesting is that it's nice that the platform on the front shows no "joining point" - the shoe & platform just smoooothly go together. Again, wouldn't be bad in my size , but wayyyyyyy too steep in the ol' wallet. No thanks. SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
DeSalto Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 May be they are rare because they are ugly! How many shoe designers would spend their time creating a shoe like that? DeSalto No shoe is better than a sexy pair of stilettos!
TXT-1 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Maybe they are rare because they are ugly! no: they are rare because of Manufacturing costs... and the "label" costs... lots! How many shoe designers would spend their time creating a shoe like that? I don't know about everyone else but I would Definitely prefer a pair of 6"- 8.5" "stripper" plats over 6" - 9" (ballet) fetish heels! comfort over pain again...! later, TXT-1
terayon Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 wow...I cant believe those sold for so much....what so special about them that they would command such a hefty price?
