Dr. Shoe Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I am considering putting together a heelmeet in the smoke toward the end October. Anyone care to propose a date? Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Firefox Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Would you consider Bluewater part of the smoke? We haven't been there as a group and there is lots to do, nice surroundings, shops, walks, bars etc.
Thighboots2 Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Dr Shoe: I was wondering when the next London outing was going to be. I'll be up to meet you for lunch if its a weekday, maybe a little shopping either side, but I can't stay too long 'cos of the job. Shame TLSB is no more as the pub next door was quite nice, but Leatherworks is close. How about a browse in a NEXT store since they now do eu43. Not around from the 24th onwards. TB2 Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?
Dr. Shoe Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 Bluewater sounds fine to me. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Heelson Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Well, you never know .... I just might be able to turn up .... weekdays generally easier, but depends on where I'll be working (which could be just about anywhere!). Not been to Bluewater before
Dr. Shoe Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Be nice to see you again. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
FGWJON Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 count me in....be nice to catch up with everyone after such a long time..... keen to meet other uk male heel wearers to try & boost my confidence to wear heels in public
Dr. Shoe Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 Right. I'll wait for Heelfan to get in touch after his Marco Polo stylee trip to China and we'll see what happens. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Thighboots2 Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Whilst Bluewater is a bit of a hop for me to come out for lunch, I should be able to do it. I would prefer Lakeside just the other side of the river, it also has LOTS of shoe shops, and lots of places to meet up and water ourselves at lunchtime. TB2 Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?
xaphod Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I'm thinking of an impromptu trip up to London on Fri 7th. I suspect that Selfridges will feature on the agenda, as they have an exhibition associated with the 'Kinky Boots' cinema release from Thurs onwards. If there is interest, I suggest the usual meeting place ..... upstairs in Starbucks cafe, opposite Centre Point at Tottenham Ct Rd tube at 1100. Xa
Fog Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I can join you for lunch, I'd probably be up in Oxford St by 12.15.

new_look Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 was watching this thread with interest, however too short notice to arrange at this late stage sorry folks daz
Thighboots2 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 So does this thread die, or do we keep it going for a meeting in, say, November?? TB2 Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?
Dr. Shoe Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 Sounds good to me. Thursday 10th November seems a good date to me. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
NikkiHH Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I'll have to see about Nov 10 too - it was a good day last time I met up with you all. (Even if I had to shoot off early)
Firefox Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I might also suggest Uxbridge. Two large shopping centres with the tube station and town square in between. Also a cobbled high street. Add a few hundred girls merrily strutting between the shopping centres and to and from the tube.
