Yes, as we'd said, Jimi Hendrix, Purple Haze.  My reference to CCR was ironical in that I'd felt that the ignominy of starting a thread with no replies was looming.  Try singing, 'I felt an ignominy looming,' to the tune of  'I see a bad moon rising.' In fairness, I can see how you'd miss it.  The latter, of course, is what Homer Simpson sings when a man has a heart attack and Marge says, 'Quick, someone perform CPR.'
