jerbare Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I went to a chamber of commerce meeting and the speaker was Pat Riley from the Heat. They had over 1900 attend the dinner and I would say that at least 800 were women and almost all had on 4" heels but there was quite a few with 5+" and some with sky high platforms. They were all dressed to the 9's it was good to see not a pair of flip flops or sneakers in the group.
jetheelsfan Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Good news to hear - seems events like that are few and far between as the "younger set" just doesnot seem to dress formally for much of anything today - trainers, flip-FLOPs, and now the season for the UGGlies. Styl and class have clashed and look ath the tragic results. Just a bit higher to to delight - low enough for healthy foot comfort and great beginning.
gary0618 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 "They had over 1900 attend the dinner " In South Dakota? I did not think the population of the whole state was much bigger than that! FLAT SHOES, LIKE FLAT DRINKS, ARE FOR FLAT PEOPLE
Bubba136 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) South Dakota? Last I heard there were only two people left. Thay both departed at the same time but one had to go back because he forgot to turn off the lights. Edited October 30, 2013 by Bubba136 Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Jimnj3 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 So, back to jerbare, Did you wear your heels??
jerbare Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 I have a pair of payless oxfords with just the 2" heel that I wore. I did get buy with out my wife noticing as we went with two cars. It was fun and exciting at the same time. When I showed up she was at the mixer with some of her clients taking care of the adult drinks and had no time to see what I had on. She was more impressed with the suit and tie.
