meganiwish
I run a mental tickbox in the run up to Christmas. Today I heard the Bruce Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I've not heard Fairytale of New York yet. But I have heard A Winter's Tale.It all seems to be running late this year. Let us know when you hear an inevitable. Heelster
With the passing of Clarence Clemons, that Springsteen tune just doesn't seem right.
meganiwish
I used to duet Fairytale of New York with a friend every year at the staff do, but one year we couldn't because of Kirsty's death. But Clarence, it was a bit ago. I'm sure Santa will still bring him a new saxophone.
meganiwish
So I've heard Do they know it's Christmas, and the Mariah Carey thing, but I've still not heard Fairytale of New York. It's very late. Is it global warming to blame?

meganiwish
Last night I wanted to get festive, so I watched Top of the Pops 2 and I heard them all. The Ramones one was fabulous, and there were lots I was glad I'd forgotten. Fairytale of New York I still think is a wonderful song, but that one by The Darkness is good too.
