Leo
Why are high heels sometimes referred to as 'killer heels'? Has there ever been a loss of life as a consequence of such footwear being worn?

CRabbit
Perhaps it has some connection with the fact that most poorly fitted very high heels 'kill' ones feet, but on that principle, I own a couple of killer flats too and believe me they're nothing to look at! Gudulitooo
I always thought the killed ones were all the people whose shoe style don't survive to said killer shoes.
danielp6406
I think the " killer shoes" expression comes from the fact someone would do anything to own those very nice shoes. Even killing the person wearing them to get the shoes. ( Doing so is not a very good idea and it would be illegal. Hoping nobody do this in real life... ) So I guess "Killer shoes" is the opposite of "They are to die for"
