Fernando Berlin Boots?? - Advice??

TOWI Boots

Recommended Posts

Hi - I have just stumbled across Fernando Berlin Boots (.com) - they seem to have some really nice looking boots in + sizes (up to a 47)

I have fallen in love with the Modell 110, which I would need in a 44:

But I was wondering if any of my fellow boot lovers had any experience of this company? - are the boots any good? - do they really look that good when they arrive? - what is the quality like??

Any pointer, especially if anyone has a pair of the 110's would be great!

Thanks! :wavey:

My guess is that they are an extension of, or association with, Students of Boots. These are thigh boot enthusiast that generated a lot of interest in the boots and my guess is they had a go at selling them. Looks like they at one time had a showroom that has closed. They used to have a service in Berlin of delivering boots to you to try on to be sure of the fit.

This site is worth looking through.

Like Geo, I wish I could afford a pair.

I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

I'm pretty excited too lol. I've seen these boots in photos from bootshare but never investigated further. They have a made to measure option which looks tempting - but I'm keen to hear when/if you get a reply to your e-mail. At size 41 I would like the heel 1/2" higher but this isn't an option. If you get a decent response to your e-mail I might enquire - please post your findings TOWI Boots :wavey:

Hi - I have heard back from them, really quick reply which is always good!

I asked, based on a size 44 boot:

1) is the inside / lining of the boots made from leather or man made material?

The shoe part has pig leather lining. The boot leg end has goat

leather lining. The middle part is not lined.

2) what is the height of the heel on the size 44 boot

12.5cm

3) what is the height of the boot shaft - from the top of the heel to the top of the boots.

74cm

So, I love the shaft height - they are pretty much crotch high!

But, I wish they were fully leather linned!!

What to do........

Thanks for sharing the info.

Did you buy one pair meanwhile?

I'm in contact with them, too, concerning some changes to the same model, but they haven't replied in a while now.
