Toffee17 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I would love to chat to, maybe meet up with any guys in Bristol who like heels. Im a bit too shy to go to the WHM.
Bubba136 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I would love to chat to, maybe meet up with any guys in Bristol who like heels. Im a bit too shy to go to the WHM. OK guys, I'll let someone else weigh in on this one. But, I would think that attending the WHM would be the best place for a "shy" person to go rather than out with just one or two others. There is, as they say, safety in numbers. But, that's me. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
sendra45 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I would have to agree, the WHM would be the place to go if you are shy. I am planning on being about on the Friday evening or Saturday Morning if you want to meet first and let me talk you in to going to the heel meet. Honestly, it will be the best place for you, if you dont want to chat, just listen, say who you are, everybody going will read this and totally understand. easy. The angels have the phonebox.
Dr. Shoe Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 There's a good idea, why not meet with sendra45 first and see how it goes? It is much, much better turning up at an event like this if you already know someone. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
LovesHiHeels Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 If you want to you could meet up with me sometime on Friday. I be wanting some one to talk to as well. But I do find these WHM are the best for shy people since you will be meeting in a private venue with like minded poeple.
lorriette Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 you can always bring your heels in a bag, then put them on when, and if, you feel relaxed enough. totter along into history
sendra45 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I would love to chat to, maybe meet up with any guys in Bristol who like heels. Im a bit too shy to go to the WHM. Okay, if you are too shy for all that, PM me and I will pop down to Bristol and meet you, perhaps a evening before the heel meet? in the next week? then you can see there is nothing to worry about. I would suggest as you are shy a Mcdonalds or something like that and no heels. then we can take it from there, you will find we are all quite normal. Just like you? The angels have the phonebox.
Heelfan Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 SCHEDULE FOR THE 2010 WORLD HEELMEET, BRISTOL, UK Dr. Shoe (overall organizer from London) asked me (Heelfan, in Bristol) to locate venues etc. so now I post these more detailed arrangements: FRIDAY 18th JUNE, 2010, 7pm. PRE-HEELMEET DINNER. All those arriving on Friday are invited to meet and this restaurant: River City, corner of Cumberland Road and Hanover Place, Bristol, BS1 6XU. Try googling this postcode into Google Maps UK and you'll see exactly where it is. I've chosen it because short Hanover Place leads straight into to the gates of Bristol Marina, the venue for the following morning's Heelmeet, only 200 metres from the restaurant. River City is a brand new restaurant with a keen owner called Rob whose prices are very reasonable (£4 - £8 for the main course) and he will push some tables together once he knows how many are coming. PLEASE POST ON THIS THREAD (or on the other Bristol Heelmeet thread) to let us know if you are joining us for this Friday evening pre-Heelmeet meal. SATURDAY 19th JUNE 2010, MAIN HEELMEET: 10.30am (OR AS SOON AFTER AS YOU CAN MAKE IT) Assemble in the PRIVATE UPSTAIRS FLOOR (use exterior staircase) of BRISTOL MARINA’S BUILDING: Bristol Marina, at end of Hanover Place (off Cumberland road), BRISTOL, BS1 6UH.The Marina has its own spacious car park and wonderful balcony views of the boats and harbour. Davina is laying-on a splendid lunchtime buffet (we ask you to chip-in £5 each). A great opportunity to mingle and chat away from the public gaze, and talk/compare heels etc. APPROX. 2.30pm Move across to the upstairs (privately booked) room of this pub in Central Bristol: The Griffin, Corner of Colston Street and Trenchard Street, Bristol, BS1. This is much more central for Bristol’s shops for those who wish to go shoe shopping and optionally to consider the large choice of central restaurants etc. for the Saturday evening. Again, the upstairs room in the Griffin is for the group’s exclusive use, so that any shy-guys can show each other their heels without any public embarrassment. SUNDAY 20th JUNE: Any folks hoping to stay or for part or all of Sunday will have plenty of time during the Saturday to arrange any mutually agreeable plans for Sunday. REMINDER: Please post now to let us know a) whether you are participating in the Friday evening meal, and To confirm (especially if you have not yet done so) that you are attending the main Heelmeet this Saturday. We look forward to seeing you (heels encouraged, but never compulsory!), Cheers, Heelfan (you can contact organizer Dr. Shoe on 07958 582692 or attender Firefox on 07941 172043) Onwards and upwards!

Toffee17 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 There must be some guys in or near Bristol who love heels and would like to chat and maybe meet up to compare shoes.
JohnW Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I live in Wiltshire and would love to chat about high heeled shoes and boots! I shop in Bath, where there are some great shops, especially my favourite, Kurt Geiger.
Heelix Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I'm from the Bath area and often look longingly in the shop myself, but have never gone in. I must do it one day for a closer look at some of the great looking shoes.
sendra45 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Well, I am not far away and like a chat, we have had some great heel meets around this area over the years. let me know what you had in mind. The angels have the phonebox.
