  1. Hey 'onyourtoes' - - Are you a size 10, and if so, you mentioned the clogs fit perfectly. I believe I saw those at a Kohls near me, but they didn't have a size 10. Debated on ordering them in, but I usually like to try them on first before I buy. Comments???

  2. Won't have to worry about that ever - - With all the different work things I do, there is no way I'll ever get a manicure. They would look at my hands and refuse to waste the time. Getting the grease and grime out of my hands takes long enough, and then the calluses - - I have a heck of a time dealing with stockings. I'll snag them right out of the package before even getting them near me. Fishnets help. I'm even considering gloves.

  3. I answered 16, because if it was acceptable for guys to wear heels, then I would've started wearing heels around that age. A lot of the GF's I had back then, as well as a lot of the girls that I went to school with, had been in the habit of wearing heels to school all the time - this was back in the 80's. In reality, I loved the sight of high heels even back to the age of 11 or 12 - but didn't really start getting curious about wearing them until I was 15 or 16.

I tried putting on some of Mom's shoes, but by that time my feet were too large to fit in her shoes.

I used to live in NYC for a few years - I wish that I had started wearing heels at that time, but didn't actually get a pair until a few months ago, long after I had moved away from NYC. I definitely would've started wearing some womens' boots & shoes with a chunkier 3" heel, for starters.

Don't know why I waited so long to finally start wearing them - wish I had bought some a long time ago.

I really never thought about wearing heels until summer 2009. I've got a few more years on you as I was in high school in the late 70's. Women in heels in the old mans Penthouse mag's were always of interest. Just loved the look.

This last Valentines day was the first time my wife ever saw me in heels, and all the rest of the goodies I had acquired for the occasion.

Hey - - indirectly, it was her idea. She joked around about all the items I had given her over the years that she didn't or wouldn't wear telling me "If you like this stuff so much, why don't your wear it" - - - !!!

    Had I known 30+ years ago what I know today, - - - Well - - - things would be different.

  4. Nice find! I'll be flying SWA into Baltimore next week. I'll look for it in the mag. I'll be wearing 3" heels - either Naturalizer pumps or Clark's clogs - I haven't decided.

    Steve

Any chance that article might be online??

If you get a chance to read it, see if there is a link to the article for those of us who won't be flying in the near future.

  5. Funny that this thread appears. I have some of the strongest long fingernails around. The girls would die for these nails. They don't break, (well maybe once in awhile) and they take a lot of abuse from my work. Most of the guys know they are longer than most, but they think it's weird, but they just ignore it. I type with my fingernails - never considered nail polish.

  6. Those heels are pretty normal for a cowboy boot, the extension keeps your spurs from falling down.

May be normal - - at one time.

I live in the rural sticks, and there isn't a pair to be found these days. Even the tack shops don't carry them anymore. Everything in the men's department is lower and chunky. Now if you walk to the next aisle over, there are at least 3 or 4 pair with the underslung heel that we saw 20 years ago in the mens aisle.

If I could find a pair like the ones 'onyourtoes' posted, I'd get them. (not a fan of trying to order online and get the wrong size) Then there is the other problem. I'm usually an 8D in mens western boots - - - Most shops don't go that small in anything.

  7. @iggy_ze

Don't know what size you are, but these have similar styles if you're lucky enough to have woman's size feet, unfortunately I don't.

Nice selection - and at least one size too small for me. Everything I checked out max'ed out at US Womens 9 - - I'm a 10

Still debating on boots or clogs for my next purchase. Funds are tight so it's one or the other - leanng toward the boots.

  8. Was just in a DSW and the sales girl was very interested in what I was looking for. I tried on about a half dozen different boots, and we both thought one of the Franco Sarto boots looked the best, and woud be less likely to be noticed as a womens boot underneath jeans (even though it's about a 3 1/4" heel) Unfortunately, I was shy on cash so I'll have to wait a couple weeks before I swing back through and maybe pick up a pair.

  9. Interesting Article by way, and this Wacky Idea popped in head while reading it. Since Look has already worked very nicely over time with Skirts and Dresses mainly, along too with the occasional Gauchos or maybe Capris...

~~ 1st pull on your Leggings\Jeggings\Skinny's and then OVER them pull up a pair (or 2, but not more) of either FANCY PATTERNED and/or COLOURED "Stay-Up-On-Their-Own" THIGH HIGH STOCKINGS or even PANTYHOSE to Accent them further. Guess a Nice Long Top would be needed if Latter is needed choice and pair of ANKLE BOOTS or SHOETIES would end up as FootWearDrobe Minimum, then again could be equally nice look OVER pair of CAPRIS that more Hug your Leggs then loose like Trousers\Pants.

may be a bit much - overdo. Just my thoughts

What I have seen that works was black fishnet's with a purple fencenet / industrial over top with a demin or black mini. You could get away with a short knee length legging in the winter, but then agian, a pair of boots would do much better. Wouldn't be leggings though.

  10. Using this link as a sample guide (scroll to bottom) http://www.jbhilltexas.com/style_information.html

in general I'd probably prefer something like #4 or #5:

    - #1 is almost motorcycle like

    - #8 (at least in a cowboy boot) I'm not thrilled with

Particularly for cowboy boots, I'm especially not a fan of the heels that stick out past the vertical edge of the the back of the boot. Visually I think it looks awkward, not smooth at all. For someone who favors discretion (in heels I'd wear), I also think it draws way too much attention to them.

    For me, toe patterns 2,3,5.

    Heels patterns 4 through 8

Getting harder to find these heel patterns locally. Heel style #1 at any height is the norm with the shorter styles most common.

  11. There been a few time in the past where my mate Terry and I joked about this sort of thing but this was the first time I was wearing ladies underwear while while we joked about it.

Oh hec. I wear mens G-strings (those cheap Walmart ones) to work, and Victorias Secret the rest of the time. My selections are far skimpier than the wifes. She goes for the granny panties wheres I prefer the thongs.

I have a preference for stay up thigh highs or a suspender styled stocking although I rarely get into them.
