  1. JeffB, I think I know what you're talking about. For me its been that as I have come to accept myself more the compulsive urge to wear heels has lessened tremendously. I've noticed that when I'm stressed and feel the need to get away my urges become stronger again. Its like wearing the shoes brings me back to myself. Does that make any sense to you?

  2. Way back in the late '50's I was cleaning out a storage room for my neighbor and I encountered a pair of black leather pointy-toed stilettos in my size. Needless to say I "liberated" them and hid them in my newspaper sack until I could get them to a more secure location. As I look back on things I come to realize my neighbor had planted them there for me anyway. She was great.

  3. My wife and I wear the same size shoes, but I am usaully the only one in heels. She loves the look and wishes she could wear them more herself but she simply does not have good feet for heels. She is flat footed. I have have a high arch and can, and do, wear heels extensively. I can get just as tired wearing flats as I do heels. She on the other hand does wear them to bed for fun and play.

I told her if I go first put me in 5" heels and bury me happy.

I have flat feet and I've found that I am more comfortable in a heel than not. A heel of 2 to 3 inches eases the tiredness that comes from not having an arch. The height gives support.

  4. This will show my age but I remember when Joan Lunden was the only woman on morning tv that showed any heels and boy, did she ever! Now every newstainment show has some eyecandy for us.

  5. i have to differ. i think she is BONE UGLY.

like most celebrities, she is much too thin to be a real woman. (let's face it, boobs & butts are largely made of fat, and when a woman gets too skinny she looks like a 12-year old in drag)

her looks are way too harsh for my taste.

and i've yet to see a photo of her smiling. a smile makes all the difference in the world on a woman's face, and janine garafalo (i know i've murdered the spelling) looks better smiling than angelina jolie looks WITHOUT a smile.

these are all opinions, and opinions are like @$$-holes. everybody has one, and yours stinks.

So tell me why Christina Ricci looks so danged good even after breast-reduction and with a scowl on her face?

  6. Have you ever spotted a shoe on someone and thought it was hot, then when you tried it it didn't look like much? Quite often the attractiveness of a shoe depends on who's wearing it. Case in point: I hate platforms but one day PiB showed up in some platform mules that set me all a-flutter. Had to do a lot of rethinking after that.

  7. Yes Paris does have BIG feet, and yes she does wear designer shoes. In fact a couple of designers custom make her shoes since they are larger than the rack shoes. But I've noticed that her feet are really not that attractive and she tends to abuse her shoes. Many times the heels of her shoes are tattered and that detracts from her put together look. I can't knock her totally though because I treasure all women with size 10 or better feet.

  8. There's something about Ellen. I can't be mad at her 'cause I like her taste in women. She was a great sport and I could see that she was truly uncomfortable in those heels. Interestingly though, she started warming to her own look on the monitor. Who knows we may see her soften her look in the future. Also Spice was equally uncomfortable in sneakers.
