  1. As I grew from 1st grade keeping a close eye on mary jane's and other styles with low thicker heels to high school with higher thicker stacked heels to finally stiletto's, I sorta grew along with it and now have a variety of all kinds of heels. It has been a great adventure!

As for being younger from 10 or 11 yrs old into high school and even now, I have taken on a passion for stacked and thicker than stiletto heels. I do own quite a few stiletto's but they are just not my favorites. That's just me.

So you were into shoes at an early age also? I never knew anybody else who had my interest at such a young age.

  2. my new vote is Valerie Bertinelli she really looks good after meeting Jenny Craig. On her latest commercials she is wearing some hot looking heels and it makes her look hot.

I've always thought she is hot even when she's not dressed up. She's working hard now to recover from "Karen Valentine/Sally Field syndrome". It's a condition that leaves a mature woman looking eternally "CUTE".
  3. I remember Gale Storm from "My Little Margie" swinging through the door at the beginning of the show in her heels and who can forget the way Loretta Young would sweep into a room? Those were the days for us dirty-minded young men who didn't know what we were being dirty about, we just knew we were being dirty peeping at the heels.

  4. I couldn't wait so I went to find them. I found them at http://www.endless.com

They're generic moderate quality construction and man-made materials being sold at a much higher price than others at that quality level. If you don't mind paying for the name the go for it. I'd reather save up to get the kind she wears. BTW some of her styles are available in 11us.

  5. I also disagree with gwl1. Membership here is voluntary by request. In other words if you ask to join you're accepted. If it turns out not to be what you expected you're free to leave. I don't necessarily agree with everyone here on all subjects but one thing I stand up for is everyone's right to state their opinion or position as long as they're respectful of other members, i.e. not attacking others for being different than they are. We're ALL different here. My suggestion for you is fire up your Google and find another board that is more to your liking or start your own.

  6. Hello from South East (and snowy) England

I'm 40 something and adore high heels but due to having a hip replacement 2 years ago can only really wear them indoors... Hubby loves seeing me wear them and is reading the forum over my shoulder...

Welcome to you both. Hang in there. I have a friend who had a hip replaced so she could wear heels again, and she did within a year. Her desire was that strong. She said in her case the pain was no greater in heels than without. Either way she had to do pain management so why not wear the heels.
  7. Good to hear from you Dawn. I have been wondering how you and Mickey have been. I was just about to ask in an open forum if anyone had heard from you guys lately.

Glad to learn that Mickey is getting better, although much more slowly than you would like. And, that you seem to be handling the situation with style, grace and lots of love.

Both of you are in our prayers and our sincere hope is that things will quickly improve to a point where you can resume your regular posting here with us.

Please keep us informed of both of your progress.

AMEN to that. You're all in our prayers.

  8. I did not state above that I found SJP (or her butt) of particular interest or attraction. What I did address was the concept contained in the last sentence: 'For any man, the thought of spending every spare moment traipsing after even the pertest butt buying shoes is about as sexy as a cold shower.'

Perhaps another posting I made this morning (#12 in http://www.hhplace.org/discuss/everybody/10493-own_up_time_ladies-2.html#post158933) has proved appropriate if not providential.

And my statement was that I would not mind at all traipsing after Kim's butt to buy shoes. Maybe after 20 or 30 years I'd get tired of it.
  9. I did/do not watch SiTC to see SJP. I don't find her at all attractive. It's the rest of the crew that I come for. First is Kristin Davis who I call the secret fox. I especially liked the episode where she met the fetishist shoe salesman, then there was the one where she got involved with the guy who was only interested in one thing and all the other girls had tried him. Then there was the red-head whose most convincing episode was where she "pretended" to be gay. Her least convincing episodes were where she took a black lover. Then there was Samantha (Kim Cattrall). What else can I say. She was the jewel of the Hudson, just as real as she could be. I would love to know a woman like her. I'm sure she has as many shoes as SJP and she knows how to use them so you don't mind where she takes you with or for them.

  10. Wife and I went shopping today. She thought just because I have a pair of red high heels, she should to. We had a blast at DSW. She wore her black mj's and I wore my tommyhill knee highs w/4" heel.

She found a pair of Chinese laundry red mj's w/ a wide strap. HOT! We had to get home so we could share a pic together with our red high heels.;) Sorry bout the bad photography.

Johnnie, other than you I don't see any bad parts to those pictures ;<))
