    Waiting in line

    This morning in a convience store, I was in line to pay for my coffee and snack. Just then a young lady, maybe 20 - 24 or so, walked in the store. Now I just love tall women and she was maybe 6' 1" or so. When she walked past me, I remembered that I needed another item, something, anything, so I got out of line (queue) to have a better look. LOL

    Well, It was a pleasure seeing this young lass. Dressed very nicely in a skirt, nice blouse with a jacket. She had very long dark hair and a very pretty face. BUT, best of all. She was wearing brown leather knee boots, with 4" blade heels. I watched a bit as she walked around the store. Very nice walk and a nice overall professional look.

    What a great way to start My Day.

    Jazzberry is a common brand here in the US.

    I have seen them in "The Shoe Dept" and I think at "Famous Footwear".

    What size do you wear? I think I have a pair or 2 or Jazzberry Boots.

    They are probably US womans 11 or maybe 12. I will check.

    I saw an advertisment for this Restaurant in a local Weekly Paper. I cut it out, and was going to scan it and post it here. But I misplaced it.

    But they do have a website.

    They actually give drink discounts on drinks, based on the height of the heels you are wearing. I wonder if Guys qualify. This could make an interesting stop when we get a Philadelphia Meet Going one day.

    Has anyone seen this idea anywhere else?

    I was looking at the Athens area, about 45 minutes NE of Atlanta. I am tired of the North East Winters, and have visited Atlanta a few times, looking around at the business climate.

    Heel Meet in NYC! March 19, 2005

    OK Heel Fans!

    We are on our way to the first successful USA Heel Meeting!

    About 10 weeks and counting, so let's spread the word.

    Saturday March 19, 2005 (tenative plan)

    We will meet for lunch at 7A between 12:30 and 1 pm.

    The address in the East Village is: 109 Ave A, Cross Street: 7th Street.

    Phone if you need directions: (212) 673-6583.

    Expect lunch to cost about $15 or less.

    We hope to spend about an hour getting to know each other.

    Then we are out and about for a fun day. We plan to head west on 8th street, then up 6th avenue to Union Square. There will will find a HUGE 4 story Barnes and Noble book store and a HUGH used book store. Also we will find a DSW (discount shoe warehouse) and numerous ALDO's and other shoe stores along the way.

    (We also have the option to go further on 8th street to "Shoe Store Avenue", if there is a desire.)

    Three to four hours of shopping and site seeing, should have us tired and hungry. We will walk through Chelsea and head up to dinner.

    Dinner will be at East of Eighth. The address is:

    We expect to be having dinner by 6pm at the latest.

    Dinner should be a fun time showing off any purchases, discussing the day, and maybe even making plans for NYC Meet II.

    After dinner some may opt to enjoy the city nightlife or head home.

    The whole area we will cover will only be about 20 blocks, from 7A to East of Eighth.

    Any suggestions or comments are more than welcome.

    If you can make this meeting, please copy and past the following information, adding your name to the list. EVERYONE is welcome. You do not have to be wearing heels to attend. But if you are, and you are not sure about so much walking, feel free to bring a change of footwear.

    They do have Taxi Cabs in Atlanta. LOL

    Do you have DSW's in CA? If not you may be in for a treat. I shop at one in Marlton NJ and 2 in the Philadelphia area. You will have a blast!

    I have been to Atlanta quite a few times, but I have always had a vehicle.

    I could not even guess where the MARTA stations are.

    There are many more places. The Buckhead area in general has some nice shopping.

    I have purchased many (maybe 12) pairs of boots from Newport News over the years. They have always been good quality and good fit. I wear an 11, and when available I have purhcased an 11 wide.

    Where are you located.

    As a fellow boot lover, I would like to offer you a "Forwarding Service" if you would like. Have your boots shipped to me. I will then send them to you. I will only charge you the actually shipping fee. Just a thought.

    Or you might watch eBay. I have seen many Newport News Boots being sold on eBay.
