Ahhhhh I can't make up my mind on what shoes I need to get on one hand I could by another pair of pumps because I don't have that many in my collection. But I don't know if I want these
http://store1.yimg.com/I/snaz75_1830_14427657
I'm leaning towards these right now.
or these
http://store1.yimg.com/I/snaz75_1830_8973707
becasue I have a black pair and I use to have a fuscha pair and the heel tip broke and got the heel scuffed up
So I'm not sure if I should finally replace them or not.
Then there is my love for mules and slides

My only problem with those is that their a 5 inch heel. I prefer 6 and above. But those are hard to come by in non platform shoes.
I don't know. What do you guys think?
The first ones are the the best.

Hi, nothing commited yet other than the leave from work, so let us know. Nigel.

It does not really matter if you are poor or rich. A waste is a waste. I remember having a tour around a aeroplane company close to where I live, on the 'waste' skip there was an on-going price tag that was near half a million pounds and rising, just in parts for aircraft that didn't make the grade, it would have come to £100 when melted back down. I live about 10 mins drive from a aircraft scrap company and quite often see the planes flying for the last time before they are broken up into their component parts and getting back on topic, I drive past the Jane Shilton skips twice a week! Yet I recycle every coke can I use and enjoy working for one of the most environmentally friendly companies in the world. as I said, A waste is a waste.

Yep, I would not be here now if it was not my wife. Nigel You will see both of us on the Bristol Heel meet!

Firefox, You are soooooo cheap. Windows 98, at the moment it is the best operating system microsoft have, as far as viruses and worms go. not everybody gets it pre-installed though nowaday, in this century. Needless to say I take your point, and I am sorry if I scared anybody. Nigel

Hi Firefox, Without a shadow of a doubt you are true in what you say. However, It is a well know fact that IE from microsoft has its problems and is far from being perfect. My take on the situation is if you want an easy life with computers, think about other options. I have been running linux now for months, without one crash, an update or a virus. life just got a whole lot easier. Nigel. BTW I am typing this whilst my work windows 2000 pc thinks about setting an IP printing port up ( a fairly basic task ). must go, it is asking me if I am sure I wanted to do this???????

Hi,
I would give up with Microsoft internet explorer, infact be brave and use linux or buy a mac.
go to http://www.mozilla.org/ and download Firefox, use that as your browser, everything will work, I promise.
Other than that you will have to change your settings in internet explorer and prey nobody hacks in to your computer!
PM me or post a reply to this if you need anymore help.

Hi Dude, Whilst I am not looking to make this into a Euro Heel Meet, as you started this thread, you are the only one that can change the title of it, I wonder if any other folk might come out of the woodwork if you changed the name of the thread to 'Amsterdam Heel Meet April 2005' Guys, I have booked the time off know and I am starting to look for hotels and flights, I am going to see if I can use some of my air miles to reduce the cost. Let me know if you can do the 11th, 12th, 13th of April. thanks, Nigel.

Hi Morpho, I have been to Austin. I remember it being the place where the guy who wrote 'King of the Hill lived and that some of the people based were folk that lived near him and this was told to me by guys that lived there all their lives. needless to say I don't think that you would fit into the background as much as you would in say New York. I would be tempted to get some descret heels to start with. and take it from there. you may well be one of the first in your town. Nigel
-
I'll probably be in for an April trip. Amsterdam is a great place to wear heels. The beer and the "coffee" houses also sound attractive.
Okay I am going to try to book some time off I am going to try for the week starting the 11th of April
I look forward to letting you know what dates are available to me and I hope everybody can join in.
FF, I might have to pass on the coffee houses as I dont think it will be the best of places for my little girl.

HI JeffB when you are taking some pics, could you perhaps take a picture of a little more than just you at your desk? I would like to see a bit more of the office and understand the terrain you have to cope with in your heels. It would make me appreciate your heel wearing a little more, I could wear 5 inchers at my desk all day long but I would never be able to do a days work what with all the stairs and walking that needs to be done (let alone the 50 co-workers) Nigel

Update: I've tentatively planned to go out (as in, more than one block away out) to a nearby store that sells shoes cheap. I don't know what to expect at all, from the owners to the customers to even the space in the store, but if I buy something I'll be sure to return with pictures.
Hi Danielle,
If you are unsure what to expect but think that everybody is going to stare at you and the owners wont serve you, I think you are going to be dissapointed.
I would like to think that if I owned a shoe shop and somebody came in with an 'thing' for shoes I would meke him/her very very welcome.
The chances are that you as a customer will come back again and part with more of your hard earned cash and even tell your freinds.
There is a new shoe shop opened up in Bristol near where Heelfan lives (or used to live depending on his house move), they have a sign stating that they sell upto size 9 in the window, so I went in and tried a few on, they were to small for me but I told heelfan that they were cool with men in their shop, the owner told me that his first sale was to his hairdresser ( I think he said his name was Mark ) and that they were a pair of the pink high heels I was trying on.
I guess when you are in business it does not really matter what sex the customer is.

Whoops! That will be the easter week, know wonder the prices were sky hi on Easyjet and KLM. Any problems moving it till April? Nigel

Hi, I was thinking of getting it for my birthday but if it is that naff I wont bother. I think I will take a leaf out of FF book and pop down to waterstones for half an hour. Nigel
-
Hi, If you are into nice shoes, then the thought of hot, sweaty, worn, blister soaked shoes is a major turn off, there was not much nice to look at there but then i think that is the appeal to the folks that run the site. I think Heelfan should pop some of these shoes into his collection of worst shoes! I miss his posts, I hope he will get back on line soon. Nigel
-
Hi Loveheel, Sorry I cant help you myself, however I seem to remember having a great time in the shoe shops when we visited a few years ago. The styles are sure to be different to what you have over in the US. Xa and Dude, I will have a look at dates toward the middle to end of March, but I will have to check my work Schedule first. Is that Okay with you?
-
Hi Nhoj, Good to hear from you! I hope you are well, I cant imagine you in heels! let alone 7 inchers. see you sometime, NIgel.
-
Hi Xa, It would have to be mon-fri for us, is that okay with you? It would be great to see you again. Three for a dutch heel meet is a good start. I will keep an eye open on this thread and see if we can tempt any others! thanks, Nigel.
