  1. Hi, Yep, I have downloaded spybot a few times now when freinds have complained about their computer, It really helps on windows. Firefox, I have got several different Linux OS and one that will run on a Mac if you manage to find one. Let me know when you are thinking about a different OS I would love to help or just chat about it. Just bear in mind that you cant get Microsoft word, exel, powerpoint and the other office products. I would suggest you (or anybody) download openoffice.org and install that on to your PC ( it runs on windows too ) and start getting used to it, It will be one less thing to learn when you swap OS. Nigel.

  2. Well done. I am sure Heelfan will be keen to get you selling them in your shop, I hope business is going well. I have only gone as far as 5.5 inches myself but with size 10 feet it is a little easier. My wife (who you have met) is pictured to the left of this and all of my posts in her 6 inchers. You are on a very busy road there in Bristol so watch out, don't cause any crashes! Well done and if you see Heelfan sometime send him our regards from up here in Swindon.

  3. Yep, Firefox will help greatly. because I liked the firefox browser on windows I still use it now on my linux box. I think my main gripe was that once you had bought windows, you then needed to spend more money to keep it running. none of this applies with linux. Take our mate Heelfan, I popped XP on to his machine some months ago and because he is not a computer wizz kid his PC is useless now. he would either have to spend money on spyware and antivirus or teach himself about PC's. A bit unfair really for somebody who wants to create the odd spreadsheet, word document, download pics from his digicam and surf the web! That is why I have made the move from XP. Nigel.

  4. Great Huh! Spyware and Viruses. I would urge everybody to download a linux OS or buy a Mac. You dont need to worry about these viruses then. We are here at the HHplace because we are different. Be different on your PC, load Linux. Running 7 months here without a crash, trojan or Virus. I spent £50 on a genuine copy of Suse 9.2 but you could download Mandrake or Ubuntu and stick it on your PC for free and realise just how good your PC really is! PM me or reply to this thread if you want to know more. Nigel.

  5. Okay, lets get things rolling. With 6 pairs of heels from 2.5 to 5.5 inches, I concider myself to have an intrest in heels, but one that does not consume me every waking hour. I prefer to look at heels but since meeting you lot here I have realised that I can wear them too. so I would put myself at the other end of the scale. where do the rest of you place yourself? Nigel.

  6. Just an update really as a great deal of this thread got lost during the hacking and change of ISP. We would still like to do this. The original date was scrapped due to major plumbing works at my place, not only did it cost a fortune but it took ages too! Perhaps we will pop it on hold until after the summer and see who fancies a meet. Yours hopfully, Nigel

  7. Hi asdf174, I too love the shoes, the highest i have is a 5.5 inch heel and that is difficult enough to walk in. BTW, what are you listening to on your record player? I have not used one of those for about 5 years now! Nigel

  8. I tend to ignore those types of posts and hope the moderators tidy up the boards from time to time, for me it should me in the URL section only. However I am sure the guys/gals running this place will clamp down on it when they catch their breath. No Doubt they have had a great deal to do with all the goings on with the HHPlace.org lately! I say keep these Adverts to the right sections! Nigel

  9. The rule of thumb, if I remember Laurie saying so, is:-

The stockings should be lighter colour than the shoes.

Some time ago, I was at Heelfan's new place with Firefox, and I demonstrated a pair of turquoise Missoni courts with a black stocking on one leg, and a 'grey smoke' stocking on the other. The effect with the lighter stocking was much more pleasing.

Off of subject, but talking of heelfan, did he mention his computer? It seems to have become infested with viruses, I offered to load XP back on for him but he has not taken me up on it or (by the lack of posting by him) got it fixed.

hay ho, I am sure he will let me know when he has time.

    Nigel.

  10. Hi, I dont have any idea myself, as i have not got any of their shoes. might be worth having a word with the seller and seeing the shoes for yourself, perhaps introduce him/her to the hhplace.org Are they the right size for you? if they are a real UK10 then they would be just the job for me but I dont have any synthetic leather shoes and would imagine they are not quite the same as the real thing. If the starting bid was lower I might of bid a tenner. they are a bit tooo girly for me to wear a lot so they would only be bought for the sake of it. I try to avoid buying everything I see, as I dont want to end up like some of the other members here with 200-300 pairs of shoes/boots (nothing wrong with it, I just cant wear that many). I also try to wear my heels as much as I can so that at least they dont collect dust. I guess you were not around or online when we had the bristol heel meet last year, you would have got a great chance to meet some of us! maybe next time. anyway, stay in touch with me and perhaps we could get together for another Bristol/SW meet? Nigel

  11. Lucky Us

Over here in Blighty, our drive time DJ called Jonny Walker plays this song from time to time right in the middle of the rush hour drive home. Usually on a friday afternoon when he is having a laugh.

for those of you not here in the UK he can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/radio2

I often wonder on my hour long drive home how many of us are wearing our heels?

the song is quite good. But then, it does appeal to me.

    Nigel
