  1. Wow, thats brave, there will be no tunring back if you dont take any flats, you wont be able to walk right in your work shoes till tuesday!! I remember a story I heard about a heel wearer not wearing his heels infront of anybodyin his family until they had all left home, when his family did find out it was a bit of a shocker by all accounts, but like you, it did not matter as they were not all living under the same roof at that time, I have a couple of years untill my daughter starts to remember things, then that is for me untill she is 18 and married off! cheers, Nigel.

  2. HI Daz, Lets hope you, your other half, My wife and I all meet up some time, I am not too sure about Hayway, I would like to go and meet everybody, but It will be a long way to go with the little girl in the car seat, she does get board. At least Like me you have somebody to share your intrest with! I dont have a pair of heel myself that I could wear out, and I have seen Heelfan strutting in Bristol, But I aint that brave yet, First job is to get some heels that I am comfortable with, and then off we go! I am needless to say constantly looking out fot that she or boot and in the meantime I remain in awe if you chaps who have gone past where Daz and I are, I am sure we will be the same soon. best wishes, Nigel.

  3. Hi Daz, I know what you mean, I recently found myself looking at a peers shoes at work and when I was rumbled I said that I thought they were awsome, I was somewhat embarresed as even though I was only interested in the shoes, others may well have thought that I was comming on to her, so to ease the situation I explained that my wife was a great shoe collector and in turn I shared her interest, we got talking and I found that she was quite the expert on shoes, I cant remember how the next bit happened, I think I was due a trip to one of my northampton customers but se found the shoe museum in northampton on the web site and forwarded the link to me. the most awsome shoes are the size 11 6inch courts, i must have blushed or something, I said that I would love to have a go in them, just for fun! It then was time for me to make a quick exit as I felt that I had been rumbled and I had crossed the line with her. Time will tell. Anyway, to the point, I have to say daz that as much as I love being in my heels, I dont think that I am ready to cope with the attention that it would generate at my place of work, maybe when you and I are a little older we may feel free to talk about who we are and wt we like more, But I do agree, It is not easy. One day I will tell you about the day my wife found out I owned a pair of 4" thigh length boots. That was akward for an hour or two! cheers, Nigel.

  4. Hi, I Need to know what airport this was!!! I for one would look forward to this part of travelling as up until now It was always the most boring bit! There is nothing more dissapointing than admiring a pair of boots only to find that when they sit down, you can see the top of the zip, underneath the trousers, or even worse ankle boots with a skirt! yuk. Here is to more searches at airports! Nigel

  5. Hi Daz, I think that you are right, it is very much a case of doing as you are told with clothing, fashon rules, those that dont comply are sneered at. Practicality needs to be taken into consideration as well, over here in blighty the weather lends itstelf to dressing up warm, but over in somewhere like Egypt the blokes wear what we would call long flowing dresses. this is of course to keep them cool, last summer I would have seriously worn one as it was so hot for months and months, but with the lady next door editing the parish magazine it was probibly best that I did not. We cant use high heels in this argument as they are not really the most practical of foot wear, but thigh length boots in the winter would keep me warm in more ways than just one :D Anyway unless you work in the back office of your bank, it would be be best to comply to the norm until glam rock comes back, The Darkness could be the best thing to happen to us. cheers for now. Nigel.

  6. Hi What a great Idea, has anybody framed a pair of shoes and hung them on the wall? a 3d picture! I might have to look into doing something like that. I would have to side with the other replys on this post and have to try them on. Trying to walk in a pair of 7 inchers is somthing that I just have to do before I die.

  7. And, if might add, It is great that we can see all of you! how about a smile next time so that it looks like you enjoy wearing them, or are you going for the sultry look? :D as for Ruud and his little boxes, forget all of the tips hand hints for setting up IE6 on your computer, they are a right nightmare and not very clear on this site to follow. I did pick up one tip though, use Mozilla, go to their site, download it for free, and off you go, I have not looked back! best wishes, Nigel

  8. Hi Nhoj, What! you mean you dio not know? you are the man I look to for information about shoes in Bristol, and here am I teaching you a trick or two :D Firstly, do you know where the MOD is? If you do then head for that and it is next to McDonalds. there is also a small brantano there, so you could get the directions from their website. But you still have not answered my question! Do Next run a small size or a large size? Best wishes,

  9. It is good to know that there are more than just blokes in heels on this forum, My Wife also reads the forums with me. It would be good to get her to meet up with another SO so that she knows that she is not alone. perhaps if your GF got to meet another "suffering SO" it might help her? anyway, you are miles away from moonraker land but the offer is there. Best wishes, oh, and did you manage to think of where you got the 2nd pair of boots in your picture from? I am really keen to get something like that ( perhaps without the platform though ) thanks anyway. As for your GF not understanding the atraction, take your wife around a mens section of a shoe shop and ask her what she would love to wear, then round the Ladies, that is the attraction, blokes shoes are dull and boring. Anyway I am sure you have done this already, but I will post it here incase it helps somebody else. Nigel.

  10. Hi, wow, I should be carefull what I post. All of a sudden there is a mass meet in Bristol!, Wow, the power of the internet! It would be nice to know if there are anyother High heel wearers that might be tempted to come along and meet all of us or perhaps for a more low-key meet? Dr Shoe, My wife would love to meet yours, I am sure they would find something to talk about, my wife would love to meet a fellow sufferer :D Nigel

  11. Hi, Thanks Nhoj, the Wife and I have looked around brantano and there aint much there, not like this anyway. Anyway, while I have your attention, there are some great boots in the Next Clearance place in Filton, they do up to a 43 but I am unsure if they are a big 43 or a small 43. there is nothing suitable at the moment although there are some stunning brown stilletto boots at £40, too expensive for me as I wont be wearing them much. thanks for thinking of me and thanks for the call last weekend, Mozilla rules! no more farting around with IE6 for me! I can see all the pictures, Lovley. Nigel

  12. Hi guys, So, your wife does not approve of you wearing heels? I am sat here with my wife having a look throught the postings and it is the other way around for us, I am the one that will need some dutch courage to go out in heels, My wife is more worried for me and woried that I will be hurt by some body laughing at me, she is right, I am. however I take great comfort in chaps like Heelfan who we met up with recently, he has been doing it for years, and nobody takes a blind bit of notice. so....... oneday it might happen. My wife is cool with my intrest in shoes, boots and heels, that is her legs in the 5.5" on the left. lovely.

  13. It is good to know that when the other meets have come and gone that perhaps a few of us could get together. To think for all these years, I thought i was the only one! perhaps we could think about a time and place once the Euro meet and the Hayway meet are over and one with? I am still sure that there must be more of us in the South West, I would encourage you to post a reply to this. Just to let us know you are there and that there are more than 5 of us. thanks in anticipation,

  14. Hi, the boots look great, I am somwhat fustrated having taken some time today trying to find a nice pair of boots in a size 9, I notice that the boots you have there are a faith size 9 or 42, I thought 9 was a 43? could you tell us if they are a big sized 42 or more like a 41 or size 8? I know that others have gone through the size thing before, but how doe hese boots measure up? I would appreciate your help.

  15. Hi, More of a question really, a few of us met up last weekend in Bristol for a chat and for a chance to meet each other, it was great for me to finaly meet some other men who likes heels. I was just wondering if there is anybody else who is close to Bristol and would not mind getting together sometime in the future? It would be good to know that there are more than three of us in the local area. Nigel

  16. ^

Oh no, don't provoke me into the Goth V individuality V What is Goth debate :( I'll be here forever :D

Suffice to say if you dress how you feel, and you are happy with that image, then who cares. If you dress how others expect, then you cares, and if you cares, you suffer, like it or not. Who likes suffering?

Having met Heelfan last weekend, he told me that you were sorry that you could not meet me and my family when we had a brief get together in Bristol, dont get me wrong, I was not meaning to single out any style, I could have said punk for instance, or farmer style!

I am sorry I touched a nerve, with the goth thing, and to be fair it is a look I like. but I was trying to say that we should be individuals, and not part of a gang, although it is nice not to feel alone, why should high heel wearers be known as high heel wearers, my name is Nigel.

I dont answer to anything else.

It would be good to meet up with you at a meet some time, that is if you are not to upset with my throw away remarks?

Damn this internet thing, It can be so inpersonal.

    High heels from Wiltshire,

    Nigel.

  17. Wouldn't it be something if we just all started wearing the styles we liked in public ...

Hi, for me it would be the thrill of being different or perhaps caught with my hand in the cookie jar!

If we all could wear what we wanted, and did not fear being different to the norm, then maybee we would all look the same, take the classic Goth for instance, dressed in such a way to be individual, but they all look the same!

where is the fun in that?

    Nigel
