I told my now wife, then girlfriend/wife to be about my wearing of heels within the first few conversations we had. When we finally met up she saw me in my boots and has not had any problems with it at all. Even one of my nieces who is herself a high heel fashionista is cool and understand why I wear heels. We when we catch up with each other give other a bad time about each others heels.

For me it is a cross of both. I love the heel height (4" and the alike) as well as the style of the shoe or boot.

You will find some nice surprises at DSW, I did. There are some boots in the store you won't find on the webpage yet.

I ordered from DSW a Diba over the knee boot and one from Victoria Secrets as well an over the knee boots from Colin Stuart. Both are with a 4" or better heel and with a platform and both are very comfortable. If my bride to be can get a couple of shots to upload to the page I will show them off.

Too many pairs to even count. I am trying to clean out the seriously out of style shoes and boots so I can keep some control of my closet

For me I will walk sideway down the stairs holding onto a railing

For me high heel boots, then pumps and then closed toed slingbacks

I said 17 because if as the old saying goes doing things over. I would have loved to been able to wear heels at that age, mind you the heel styles then in the 70's were not what they are now.

with the unseasonable cool weather here in the SF Bay Area you would think that it would be the perfect boot weather. Not so, it is so humid that wearing boots are not what I am wearing. I am wearing my pumps.

my bride to be and I were in the local mall at Macy's where I purchased a pair of Alfani's platform pumps with a 4" heel. I got them home and slipped into them. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in. My bride to be only comment was " they seem so basic" and my reply was "yes, that is what I like about them".

Love both of the stores you showed and their heels, saw a number of pumps I wanted. Only problem is there are no sz 11's

I do my heel purchases at the following stores. Bakers, DSW, Aldo, Macy's , Nordstom Rack and on occassion Sears. For online Zappos and Endless.

I voted, but only now decided to put a comment on the boards. I am the type that like to wear them whenever I can. To show you what I mean. I recently had hernia surgery, back in mid-June, and only now after a follow up with the M.D. I wore a pair of mid-calf boots with a 4" heel this afternoon and went about with my fiance' in them going to stores and such. The only discussion we had was her asking me if I had any problems with the scar area. I said no and my only other comment was I should be wearing pumps due to the weather.

For me it is thigh high stockings with a band or garterbelt same for my fiance'

My thoughts are this. My heels are for fashion for myself and my wife to be, not for sexual conontation of who I am.

I admit I do, my fiance' has even suggested to me about getting rid of some of older and less glamous looking pairs. This way I can get some new ones. We are both looking at pumps and some of the over the knee fashion boots for the upcoming season

I have become an advid Macy's fan for their heels. For the last two boot seasons I have almost purchased all my boots and two pairs of my heels from Macy's or ordered them from Macy's.

Living in the SF Bay Area would be no problem for me. I would just need to know what weekend you decide and if I am not doing something already pre-planned I am game.

I ordered from Macys two pairs of closed toe slingbacks myself. First pair is by Jessica Simpson called Tweet with a platform and 4 3/4" heels and the others are Audrina with a 4" heel and both look lovely. I cannot wait till they arrive. I also bought a pair of 9 West black pumps with a 4" heel and they have broken in very nicely as well.

I ordered a pair of those boots from endless in the black patent and they fit like a charm and for an equally low price. I love them!!!

For me it is for three reasons. 1: I love them for the styles I can wear, 2: I love them for the comfort of walking in them, 3: This may seem a bit crazy, but I also love to wear them because the help relax me by walking in them. I cannot explain why, but I become really relaxed when I am walking around in my high heel boots.
