  1. I went to the movies last nite with my wife and mother-in-law to see one of the current movies (no not the HP movie) after we had gone to dinner. I wore my Baker Shoes Melody black patent closed toe slingbacks. They were quite comfortable to wear the movies and quite ease to manuver the stairs with to our seats.

  2. For me, I like pumps with a round toe and at least something of a platform. These kind of pumps look good and are quite comfortable to walk in. As to the issue of slingbacks, I like them as long as they are closed toe style.

  3. I wear high heels (5" stiletto heels) to the movies quite often. Most of the time with so many people at the movieplex, no one even notices. But good for you for wearing your high heels to the movies. Did you get noticed and any reactions?

We went to the late showing of the movie and there were not that many people there .

  4. Looked at the webpage you linked and looked at the prices of the boots :) OMG there were a couple I liked (except for the size) and then looked at the price. In the words of SNL from the old days "NEVER MIND"

  5. The other weekend I and my family went to see one of the current hit movies and I decided to wear my Steve Madden black suede platform pumps to the movie. I was hoping to do it during the standard hours, but due to my step-daughter's getting off late from work. We did not go until the late hour performace. The pumps were wonderful to wear to the movie.

  6. While going to one of the local malls to pay my cell phone bill, I came upon another pair of Baby Phat Chance pumps in a size 11 in a grey. The price was so good at $27 and with discount at the register and tax the pumps came to $26 !!!!! I did not pass them up.

  7. I stopped counting. I have 6 large boxes full of "summer season" shoes in the cellar, and about 8 boxes of "autum/winter season" shoes for using now.

I am the same way. I stopped counting and have about 5 large boxes. Infact I am starting to clear out the pairs that either too high, too geeky looking, or just don't fit into my fashion styles.

  8. I am not sure if I have replied, but here is my two cents. I usually keep a pair of boots in my car stashed away so when I get off of work I can slip into them and drive home in my high heel boots

  9. My next three boots I got at a terrific price due to the price being 75% off were the following. Style and Company Epic Tall Boot with a 4" heel and a 1.5" platform, Guess Haydenaly Knee High boot with a 4" heel or better and a 1.5" platform as well, my last boot were Jessica Simpson Anne Boots with a 4" heel and a .25" platform. All are easy to walk in and very fashionable to wear.

  10. I picked up 2 more pairs on sale this last weekend. Style & Co. Blaire boot, a knee high black boot with a 4" heel and full zipper and a Nine West pair of boots called Mizbizzy, another knee high boot that is a pull on with a semi zip on the side, both very comfortable and easy to walk in. This has been what I like about the sale season at the shoe store and department stores.

  11. I had a chance to get in the clearance sale prices at one of the major department store shoe department and got the following boots. From Unlisted I got a pair of boots called tuk in which are cuffed knee highs with a 4" cone heel (first pair with that style) and pair of Jessica Simpson boots called JS Coffi which is pull on knee high boot which is a combination leather like and fabric material with at least a 4.5" heel and platform. both are nice to walk in. the Unlisted boot with the cone heel was a little hard at first to walk in, but was easy to manuver on after a couple of minutes.

  12. My wife and I had a long discussion about this before we let my step-daughters, niece, nephew and my one step-daughter's boyfriend know that I wear heels. They have all understood why I do it and have become quite accepting of this.

  13. If I was an employeer, I would take in to acount how the person dressed for the interview. A conservative to moderate look would be grounds to hire as well her education and work skills. Anything wilder than that, I would question her motives.

  14. I am also a model railroader as well as a heeler. I use to get nervous about model trains that cost over $500. Now with some models costing almost $5000! That is why I do the same thing for the model trains that I do on heels, I look for the bargins.
