  1. Since I travel so much for work my sleep times can swing pretty wildly through the week.  Getting up at 3am on Monday is fairly routine for me, in order to get to wherever I need to be for work for the week.  Thursday night, I may not get home until 1-2am depending on the situation.  I sort of like the challenge of these swings and practice being adaptable...

she doesn't care about those numbers, unless there is a specific reason to. That is a guy thing.

Interestingly, the only person who has ever asked me how high my heels are was a woman...

Regarding platform, I don’t have any experience with significant platform height, nor do I need to as I am already pretty tall.  I do like being able to feel what I am walking on when wearing a thin sole, which for me is only a recent discovery, as shoes designed for men always have thick soles.

Was there any apparent reaction to your appearance, in boots?   If these interviewers were comparative strangers, I should imagine that they would be at least intrigued, possibly puzzled, maybe a little concerned.   (I'm not suggesting that you should be criticised or 'marked down' for wearing heels at work - and I think you look great - but not everyone will have the same degree of tolerance or understanding.)   Good luck anyway!

Not at all.  Most people in Massachusetts seem so engrossed in whatever they are doing that they pay no attention to what people are wearing... and in some cases what they are wearing themselves.

  4. Actually, after reading Porter’s perspective, it’s kind of refreshing to see that his motives have nothing to do with being gay, and that this is not drag.  He is simply pushing some creativity in masculine fashion, and in his own words, “man in a dress”.  You don’t have to be gay to take this approach to fashion, as evidenced by those of us here who are men in heels.

A job interview is a lot like a college exam you know when you walk out how you did. Either you know the material or you don't. So how do you feel the interview went?

When I walked in it was to discuss more generic positions that I somewhat doubted I would be happy working in.  After a day of talking to different people, they shifted to positioning me for something that is more aligned with my aspirations.  They openly said they have not hired anyone for that type of position in over 10 years.  I think the fact that we are discussing it is positive direction, and we’ll see if this turns out to be the kind of unique opportunity that it could be.
