  1. I'm normally a men's size 9, but for heels I've learned the hard way that I must order a women's size 14. I used to hate this but nowadays thanks to internet shopping its no longer a problem. What I still hate is how wide my feet are. The reason I have to order such big shoes is that while lengthwise I could probably fit in smaller shoes, but they always squeeze my feet at the widest part of my feet. Hell, sometimes even a size 14 can hurt after a few minutes.

  2. I'll always love U2, I've seen them 9 times, including three times each during their their last two tours. But I also love heavy metal, although not the extreme metal of the past decade and a half. If I can't discern what they're singing, or even hear anything that does not sound like a normal human voice its not for me. In the past years I've discovered the weird music that is Radiohead by virtue of being in a Radiohead tribute band. I wished I could have seen the Guano Apes from Germany when they were still around, or System of a Down before their de facto breakup. I used to like Metallica until they joined the established after Load/Reload and their lawsuits against Napster. One weird band I've gotten to know well recently are the Excrementory Grindfuckers from Germany. Think lots of beer, playing (or should I say raping) famous mainstream songs in an extreme metal way and absolutely not taking anything seriously.

  3. It's been a week from my last posting on my improvement. During the week I managed to go from 4 3/4 in to 4 1/4 in which in a great improvement. All that has given me additional drive to reach my goal.

My current set of exercises is:

    1. Releve (calf rises) 16 left foot, 16 right foot, 16 both feet

    2. Feet tucked under 3.5 in sofa for 5 mins

    3. Theraband exercises for strength - 7 mins

    4. Sitting on feet. The tops (toes) are raised by an inch with the help of a book. - 2 mins

The "routine" takes me about 15 minutes / day.

Could you give me more information regarding your training exercises and sites where to find information and images, cause I could really use some of it myself.

  4. I reccomend a cobbler since they will be able to supply new heel tips rather then having to salvage the original ones, and might have a much better method of keeping the heel steady while cutting/drilling that does not damage the heels appearance.

Won't they look funny at you if you present them with a pair of ballet heels? It's not exactly standard fare. I once presented a cobbler a 5" pump with a bent heel and he told me he couldn't do anything about it as they weren't every day shoes. It wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing I did either.

  5. I can play some drums, bass guitar, just a hint of keyboards but overall I play guitar. And guitar effects of which I have tons. I even build some of them myself as you wouldn't believe the price some manufacturers dare to ask. I have about 11 electrical guitars, most of them Fender Stratocasters, which I think is one of the most beautiful instruments ever made. I have 3 amps, a Fender Twin Reverb, a Fender Vibrolux and a Marshall JCM-800 combo. I'd get me a Vox AC-30 if it weren't that they're literally backbreakers. I have 4 pedal boards full of effects pedals, enough pedals left to fill a fifth and enough 19" rack gear to fill a large tower. Oh, and a Line6 Pod XT Live which I use for home recording.

  6. as everyone else has said walking and practice is the answer but there is a proper ballet training device that i have heard good things about called the ballet foot strercher. it is a sculpted piece of wood that has a stretchy band on the end to tuck your toes under. this then fits snugly to the back of your leg and you can hold in your hand and stretch out your leg and keep training.

I've seen their site. I wouldn't mind having one or two but unfortunately they only accept credit cards. Which I don't have. :o

  7. aw. that's okay! *pets* do you have thigh-high ones? if so, try lacing them up tighter... if you already have them tight, just make sure you're holding onto something and try to straighten your legs out and really concentrate on that for a few moments rather than your balance (that's where the holding onto something part comes into play!)... that's the best advice i can give after only a week... i think it really helps that i rollerblade so much, but also the fact that they were laced up tight around my knees and thighs, so it was kindasorta impossible to bend.

    bonne chance!

Thank you for your kind advice. My boots are only knee high but I like it like that. It makes lounging about in a comfy chair, watching some television, typing this message, a lot easier then when wearing thigh highs. Despite my best efforts I've noticed that I still can't get my feet in one line with my lower legs. They always stick somewhat. I've tried your suggestion but I got a wicked cramp. So I guess I still have some stretching to do.

But that's alright. I knew this when I got them and that Rome wasn't going to be built in a day. I'd still get them and wear them as much as I could even if I knew I could never master truly master them. It's something I've been dreaming of doing for a long while and how can fulfilling a heart felt dream be a bad thing? You're probably a little more flexible in that department then I am. That's life.

I see from your blog that you've run into your own complications as well. Remember that slow and steady will get you there faster then impatience, always be careful and don't let bad reviews grind you down. You know what Dirty Harry said about opinions, right? :o

  8. Well, hi there, greetings from the Netherlands. I hope there are a few fellow Dutchies here on this forum. A little about me. I'm a long time lurker. I used to lurk on these boards before there was a high heel place but only the simple board on Jenny's high heels site. Like you all I love high heels. They're the epitome of sexiness and femininity. I've got several pairs now, including some ballet boots but I'm not really a full time wearer. Only at home when the mood hits me and mostly in bed. For some reason I love to sleep in them. And in case you're wondering, I've never poked any holes in my sheets. I don't know when my interest started but it must have been in the early 80's. That decade where ugly chunky 70's platforms gave way again to stilletos. I do remember raiding my mother's closet and trying on some of her shoes but they were to small for me. Coincidentally I also found my mother's porn that way. Thanks, mum! :o It wasn't until late in highschool that I found the nerve to go into a shoe store and buy me a pair of high heels. Nothing high, only 3 inches, and they were to small. Back then most shoe stores only stocked women shoes up to size 41/9.5 And my normal shoes began at 42, 43. But hey, beggars couldn't be choosers. There was no internet back then. In 1990 I went to Amsterdam for the first time to see a Black Sabbath show and to pass the time I walked the city centre and found some fetish stores which had larger size high heels. I had to have them! When I went to university I began collecting several pairs, including some thigh boots. I've also experimented with women's underwear for a while, and while fun it's not really my thing. Nowadays I only wear women's stockings for obvious reasons and even then knee high is good enough. Unless they're sandals in which case I don't need any. I did learn I have some weird feet though. Somehow they're more wider then usual. If my feet were normal width I think I could wear high heels size 44/12 or 45/13, but because they're not I'm forced to wear size 46/14. Which gives me way to much space to slide back and fro when walking in boots. And sometimes a size 46/14 isn't big enough either as my left foot is even wider. Lately I've gotten me two pairs of ballet boots which I love but which are very hard to wear. But then again, I expected this so I'm not worried. I've even made myself a couple of ballet trainers, as by the instructions file from Heike's high heel site. Using that you can really build yourself a pair of ballet trainers for around €50. Barring trial and error of course as its a first time built. :cool1: Anyway, after years of lurking from time to time I hope to become a part of this wonderful community. :-?
