I've worn thigh boots in public many times before, but they are the flat Pleaser type, usually in snow or thereabouts. I wear leggings (tights) in the gym every time I go except in summer, so I'm very used to them. I would live in them everyday if I could as they are so comfortable to wear (although the gym ones are the shiny footed type). The tunic top was most definitely long enough without question, comfortably long enough to cover what you want covered well but short enough to show some leg. I am not into that micro-mini look at all.

I wear 5" stiletto high heels (boots or shoes) when I go heeling in public. I prefer the stiletto high heels because they are so pretty and sexy and I feel that way when I wear them.

roni, we agree! I also have blade heels, some chunky, etc. but LOVE the stilettos. But I'm only in the 4" category.

WOW!! Color me incredibly impressed! You positively sizzled in that outfit, and I ain't kidding either! What sort of reactions did you get during your outing?

Interestingly enough, it was on an outing to Dress Barn in CT. A group that I belong to sponsored the outing. The store closed early at 5 PM and we had the run of the place until 7 PM. It was broad daylight when I arrived in the parking lot and I was seen by a group of women headed for Stop and Shop (supermarket) next door but no comments outside.

In the store the staff was quite friendly (female). The members of the club actually modeled the fashions and I wound up purchasing a gold "Jones NY" blouse and a blue dress. The Mary Kay lady doing the makeovers thought that I was much younger than my real 57. Her daughter (16 or so) talked to us "cross dressed" people as if we were one of her homies. The Mary Kay lady did a much better job that I ever did and will see her during the week.

I'll be on another outing on Wed night.

Saturday night is the winner!! It seems that we all agreed on the plan!!

Love the "snakeskin boots" but would have liked it paired with something else.

Both sscotty727 and Jamie001 have good points to be made. However, as you are a human being, you have the right (and especially as an adult) to make changes. I first started by shaving my head, then legs, then everything else. All of this was gradually in stages as I desired to make changes FOR ME.

The same goes for painted toenails. My stepdaughter first saw, then got used to it; although I still get the occasional comment (the toe nails are black). She also noticed the shaving; my answer, I don't like body hair - END OF STORY.

So, do what you want to do, but do it gradually in stages. My advice with my 21 year old step daughter and 18 year old daughter; you can't live in fear of what they think but can be sensitive to their issues.

Depending upon the manufacturer, I can do about half of the US "womens" size 11; the rest would be 11.5 or 12. At least now they make many shoes in boots in 11 unlike years ago when 10 was the largest normal size.

But if I had my wish, I'd be a size 10 where I could get any style I wanted!

Just ordered these from JCPenney: I'm thinking these denim leggings will go great with boots. Once I get them, I'll be sure to show them off for everyone on a jaunt.
