There is an app for the iPhone where you can watch your auction, rebid, etc. on eBay.

The Nine West website had a good sale on boots that I had seen for about $150 had come down in price. These "Rontae" boots came in black synthetic or black patent synthetic but, although I am partial to patent, didn't think that they fit the look. So, I ordered them on line and took them to Virginia with me on my feet and back. The have a 1/2 inch platform and a 4 inch stiletto heel. I got them for $59 plus tax and later saw them in DSW for the same price.
At one point leaving the rest area on the NJ Tpke I heard an "Oh my God" but dopey teens are what they are and went about my business. That was the only positive or negative that I could hear on the way down and back up to Conn.
I wore them with the blue turtleneck sweater and "Lola" straight leg jeans but I did wear the red tunic top on the way home (but with the same jeans, not the tights - that'll be another time).

Wow - you're impressed??

Not sure if you like these.
Love the first pair of sandals!!
-
Last week, door #1 with the blazer, sweater, etc.
This week, Door #2 - another winner!
-
Max, love the purple tunic and tights!
HappyFeat, the grey dress with the red boots is the winner although the dark red pumps were right behind!
Tallguyinheels, the long skirt with the boots is a winner!

I think that the wives are trying to figure us out and really can't. I truly believe that they are trying to understand but somehow, just can't make the connection that we are just a little bit (or a little bit more) different in out fashion taste. We know it is not malicious but doesn't make us feel any better.
HappyFeat, they were a wonderful $58.00 including tax at the Nine West Outlet in Norwalk, CT. I would have bought them in black also but they are no where to be found (VA, DC, MD, NY, CT).

Nine West "Blondie" boots - Found these at Marshalls for $40 but they had a couple of scuffs, so I pointed that out to a sales associate and they sold them to me for $25! Couldn't pass it up. These will replace the NW "Tornado" boots I bought last year, but were so uncomfortable I just couldn't wear them for more than a couple of hours, so I sold them on e-Bay last summer.
HappyFeat, you have good taste; I've it in the red/black snakeskin.

Finally got some pics done. My wife saw the receipt from Nine West about a week ago and questioned it, (and knew she didn't buy anything). I just came back from Virginia and showed her the boots that I bought, dark brown leather Anne Klein riding boots with a 2" heel. She looked and was okay as she said they were "unisex." So, under pants is fine, but over the pants - no, they are "too feminine - people will think you are gay."
End result, I wear them over jeans when out by myself and under around my wife.

Been working very long hours and won't be able to hook up this week.

I'll be in DC from Sunday, 1/24 to Friday 1/29.

At the office the other day a woman was wearing knee high stiletto pointy boots that looked sharp. We were together, out of earshot, in the kitchen area and I said to her, "Love the boots!" She appreciated the compliment!

Same here; after a few hours, you wake up, take them off (along with the stockings, pantyhose, etc that is also too warm) and go back to sleep.

Hi Astrid,
I work in NYC right near Macy's, 34 St, 6 Av. Bring your heels as I fly with them, through TSA security, etc. No one will hassle you, whether you are wearing them or they are in your bags. Some of the most famous ice skating in the world is at Rockefeller Center, 48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues; also in Central Park at the Wollman Rink (I believe off of 5th around 65th Street?). I believe that both have trainers available. I don't know about Bryant Park although I pass it; I will inquire for you.
Running in Central Park is easy; you actually run either in or alongside the main roads - I have rollerbladed there a few times -walk right in and you'll find it at the main entrances, 59th St and 7th Avenue, 59th Street and 6th Avenue, 59th Street and 5th Avenue.
PM me; maybe we'll do lunch.

I was out walking the dog and we still had snow in the driveway from a few days ago. Instead of walking around it, (with my Nine West high heel pointy stiletto boots on) to leave the footprints! Interesting how you see the front triangle and the tiny circle from the heel!

Speaking of Nine West, I was at the Norwalk outlet in Thursday last. They had some nice stuff but what I really had in mind was not in my size. Then I looked at the "riding" type boots and bought Anne Klein knee high "Edgar" boots in brown leather. The heel is lower than I would like, 1 3/4 but I figured that even my wife couldn't object to these! (Of course, we'll see). Wore them to work today!
Pix to follow.

HappyFeat, the black jeans and the red shoes; excellent look!!
I also agree very much about the "girl's" jeans, the fit is much better. I just shortened 4 pairs that I hadn't done yet. So I have about 12 pairs of "girl's" pants and probably 8 pairs of leggings and six pairs of shorts.

HappyFeat and Jeff,
There are some incredible looks here!!!
HappyFeat, my favorite; the dress, pumps, chain belt = ELEGANT!!!
Jeff, blue sweater, tights, turtleneck and boot = AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
First outing, Door #1 with the red boots, 2nd outing, grey striped top with the pumps!!
Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I was struck dumb by a burst of nostalgia regarding how good I looked in tight jeans and boots]
Damn right!!! Now you're talking, pardner!
-
rxrenesis; door #3 in the 2nd set is the winner. Thighbootguy has a point about tucking the sweater in; will be more fashionable!
-
Bootking: Glad to read that you liked the outfit, and the chain I sported. As for that shorter skirt, if you were in my neck of the woods on Tuesday when it felt like the North Pole, you'd understand why I opted for a longer skirt instead.
Jeff, I live in New England - I know cold!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!!!!

Yes, I have no trouble buying right off of the rack.
Cheers---

1970's HEELS

That ad reminded me of the Flagg Brothers shoe stores that were a chain in the US. I had a pair of higher than ankle boots with a (probably) 2 1/2" heel, black synthetic flat sole. Loved them to death!
They had a pair of knee high lace-up boots too with a high (relative) heel but I couldn't afford both pairs at the time.
But we (men) had higher heels with or without platforms in the early '70s.
