  1. I did cut the nails, Dremmel, then ruffled up the mating surfaces and super glued them.

I mentioned that Hey Si Mey does typically increase heel height with size but for some reason they didn't on these. In your size these may be fine or possible you'd need one added tip thickness.

I wore the beige pair for 12hrs straight yesterday with no ill effects.

  2. Recently purchased two pair of Hey Si Mey loafers, introduced this year. Unlike previous heels of theirs these were disproportionate, see right side 1st image. To correct this I added two additional tips, left side of image. I love the results, the heels no longer look like the leaning tower of Pisa. Better look and I'm sure increased durability.

I trust i'm not alone with this broken philosophy?

You're not, I believe most of us fall into that category. I've always said, there are way worse things to be addicted to.

NrthEastHeel: I am happy you are a bit like me. Since January 2023 I also have purchased three (3) pair of high heel pumps and boots. However, My high heel shoe/boot collection ranges to One hundred and thirty (130) pair. I will never wear them out before I take the dirt nap, but I still keep buying. I think it's also the anticipation of their arrival. Sei Lavie for the high heel fanatic. Mike let's hope the dirt map is still yrs away.

That being said, I'd love to let your heels live on through me however once that time comes. You and I also have the same tastes.

That's one we don't have here at all. We do have the coronation coming up in May, which I'll bet is not going to be a holiday at your end...

Yah. No coronation. Seems we fought a war 250 yrs ago just not to have that holiday.

It always astonishes me that St Patrick’s Day is so much bigger a deal in the US than it is in our side of the pond.

Really not sure why, but Irish is one of the largest ancestry grouo in U.S. only behind German and African.

35.5 million, 10% of the population.

JKrenzer: mlroseplant got lucky. Being shorter gave him an excuse to wear high heels. Also, if his feet are smaller than his sisters feet -- good, no theft.  Mike

Yah, kinda lucky. I'm only 5 10 so I'm fine at any heel height too. Just hard to wash the top of vehicles, heels help that cause too.

  8. That's a good look. I've been mismatching shoe color for yrs in much greater levels than you show here. It's actually well received.

Your sister is taller than you with less heel.

Must have been your parents children were limited to just so many total inches and there wasn't enough for you. 🙂

Do you wear your heels to and from work too?

No, I have to traverse the factory so I keep them under my desk.  I currently have 7 pair available at work.

Interesting. I happen to have two pairs of "Daisie" pumps. They don't look bad on him. I'm not sure what is going on with the peppermint candy.  .  . thing, but whatever. Marketing is one thing I don't understand. However, I think I now know, just from looking at the pictures, why the heels on my newer pair of Daisies is noticeably shorter than the older pair. I believe they purposefully took a centimeter off the height to make them less intimidating to buyers.

Yah they don't look as well proportioned as yours. It's a good question, did they tweak the height some. Also, I like the short cut pant look on him and that he is wearing the teal.

I wearva lot of colors, one of the many reasons I prefer my heels over traditional men's footware.

Just a brief update on this as I always keep my eye out, but it appears Steve Madden are really embracing the push to larger sizes still. There are a bunch of larger sizes now on the EU website and it they have collaborated with a male star for some of the marketing photos.

What actor. Didn't sign into their news letter Didn't see anything on their site.

I spent about 9 months in a small town called Fairbury (south of Lincoln, near the Kansas state line) back in 1964 (or maybe 1965) - my dad was managing the cable tv company there for a while. I learned to play golf there, with my dad. The golf course was a 9-hole course, with sand greens!

I definitely learned how to play the wind.
