  1. I am looking for a pair of thigh high boots in leather that will not break the bank. Pleaser has the Indulge 3011. I like them, but question the quality. I like a small platform. Anyone know of any other choices other than the Pleasers?

I was at a two day event this week that was attended mostly by women. On the second day, I had two women inquire with me about my jeans. They wanted to know where I found them. Seems they were discussing the baggy crappy fitting jeans their husbands had been buying, and how crappy their guys looked in these jeans along with untied basketball shoes and baggy NFL/MLB T-shirts. I told them my jeans were a size 11 Arizona low rise flared cut jeans. They didn't inquire about my boots as they were a standard western boot with about a 1 - 3/4" heel. It dawned on them about two minutes later that I was wearing womens jeans, and that I was not wearing boxers underneath them. I got the impression these women are going to be trying to get their husbands some new wardrobe items real soon.

My wife likes my choice of jeans, they are men's, but they "fit" and are not baggy, many are stretch and snug fitting. My wife give my buddy a hard time about his jeans as he wears them 2-3 sizes too large and they are baggy on him. Kinda freaks my wife out.

  3. My wife has had a change of heart and has accepted my desire to wear heels with the condition that the very feminine styles stay in the home and no venturing out side. I do wear my 4" heeled Musse & Cloud boots where ever I want, my friends have seen them and think I and nuts! I even wear them calling on customers. I get a few looks from them and an occasional comment, nothing negative, usually more confused wondering why I would wear something like that! I just laugh them off and offer to find them a pair.

Anyway I ran across these heels and had to have them, with my wife's blessing. I have a weak spot for sexy black pumps, with or without a platform! I love the straight, slender heel on these.

For some reason the heel shape is one thing that draws my eye. They have to have the correct taper, the contour where the heel meets the body of the shoe and even having the heel to far forward or backward ruins it, although a heel mounted rearward with everything else correct I do like, but I have not seen many styles that catch my eye. I am looking for a style similar to this with a hidden platform too.

They are better looking in person, full leather, soles too. Amazon had them for under $40 so they were a steal. Vince Camuto Niomi.

My left foot is about 1/2 size larger than my right so no mater what I buy I have that battle. Leather I can buy to fit my right foot and stretch the left to fit. When I first got them the left was almost unbearable, but with wearing them a few minutes at a time and wetting the leather the left shoe is getting close to fitting decent. The right one fits like a dream.

I went from 1-2 inch heels to 4+ inch heels in 1 minute. It has to do with your balance, If you have a strong sense of balance, then no problem.

My ankles would not flex that far at first. I started with a 3" heel and it about killed me, then I moved up to a 4" heel with no platform and it is the limit I can handle at the moment. I am looking for a comfortable shoe with about a 5" heel for the next step. Once I get "stretched" in a 5" I am certain the 4" heels will be easy like the 3" are now.

  5. I get a kick out of men wearing heels for the first time, and they go on about the pain. In the video the one guy wears a 4" or 5" stiletto for the first time, of course they will hurt! They need to work their way up to a higher heel, not just jump in and wear the crazy height right off the start. If the same guys wore a lower heel off and on for days, then gradually went higher the video would different. Most women have been wearing heels from their teens. They didn't just start wearing super tall heels.

I was working around the house Sunday and wore my 4" heel boots all day with no issue.

  6. That 3.8 will go a long ways! My neighbor bought a used Pontiac with the 3.8, with 175,000 miles on it with a bad transmission. He bought a used tranny out of a wrecking yard and drove the car for another 100,000 miles and sold it to a friend. It is still running down the road, but the body is in bad shape. Seems to me it has 375,000 miles on it now and minimal repairs have been done considering the miles. I know the intake has been changes, along with the coolant elbow, plus timing chain and gears were replaced to at some point. My neighbor is pretty handy so he did the repairs himself, probably wearing tennis shoes!

Everyone on a trip somewhere should research the nearest Nordstrom Rack to their route because I call it the "Shoe Disneyland". No other store has a shoe section like it. Once you experience it you'll see for yourself!  HappyinHeels

I shopped one in a larger city near me and it was a mess! I walked in and out in a couple minutes. It looked like a bomb had gone off and it was about impossible to find anything.

I found it astounding that Rubio's very modest chunky heel should have caused such an uproar. I truly would not have thought it worth mentioning, if I noticed it at all. America must be a deeply conservative place.

I don't believe it was that big of a deal. Other than the mention in the news I never heard anyone comment on his choice of footwear.

Folks just for grins go back and look at the first post in this thread: 2008 post

Back then it was just heels.  Today's images are the result of an amazing journey.  Well done.

Personally, I like the typical guy attire with high heels more then the full blown skirts and woman's tops. But whatever floats your boat!

  10. I have bought a few pair of pumps, G by Guess. I need to find another brand. These are man made material and every pair is right across the top of my foot and the edge of the foot opening presses into the top of my foot. Funny, I can wear them for a few hours, but if sitting, shortly they get uncomfortable. The size is good, length width. I have noticed some brands flare the opening upward a tiny bit right at the toes. Perhaps this would not bite in so hard.

Workout In platform heels? Just the wrong colour for him. Bright side none was staring.

There are a couple videos of this guy prancing around the streets in high heels. He can really strut wearing them. He could back off the "fem" just a bit. He reminds me of a flaming gay!

  12. The shoes are great, but the butt crack shot will get your fingers slapped! You need to keep it clean!

What brand and so forth are the shoes? Nice to share the info about them too.
