  1. hhdude159, Yet another piece of street heeling advice. If you normally wear 5" inside, I would recommend starting out with 3" (or 4" max) when outside. No matter how crazy it sounds, wearing heels inside is VERY different (and much less challenging) than wearing heels outside.

  2. Ah yes, I relish the single life in New York City. (those of you who know me in real life know I have a serious side too..retirement accounts, condo, etc).

Does that (having a serious side) mean that you'll be doing those Don Equis commercials in the future!!! I think you already have the "most interesting man in the world" part sewn down!!!

    "...Stay thirsty my friend..."

    LOL

  3. Amanda, I'm going to go out on a limb and answer what I believe was the original intent of your questions. "Do guys like guys in heels"? My answer is NO! Of course guys on this board are going to answer yes or at least no opinion, but IMHO the overwhelming populace of guys will answer no.

  4. WA10rHeelGuy, While your parents are your parents and love and accept you to no end, it is THEIR house. While accepting on a level, they might not like having what is perceived to be "deviant" behavior under their roof. It might be more prudent to keep things under wraps. If you have a need to desss, either make sure the door is SECURELY locked or go elsewhere. Better safe than sorry IMHO.

  5. ImInHeels, You can dampen the clicking sound by gluing a piece of shoe rubber on the heel. But, if you're that concerned about wearing heels in public in your community, DON'T! There's no law that says you can't, or that you have to. One of the keys is being comfortable and confident in heels. And if you're convinced that the environment isn't conducive, then you probably won't be comfortable and confident and it will show. Once the "cat is out of the bag", it never gets back in. Good luck and best wishes whatever you decide to do.

  6. I have some of their shoes, and consider them of "good " quality. They don't match up to the leather shoes, but IMHO are on a par with Pleaser and Jante. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

  7. My main point is that labeling ANY guy for such things is WRONG. No one here can read anybody's minds, or diagnose TRUE motivations. It is a stupid exercise.

If a label helps you understand yourself, that is fine. I have a condition called Aspergers Syndrome, and my life does illustrate some aspects of that label, and some aspects do not exist in my case. Yet I realize that is just a label to categorize some people, and is NOT very helpful to cure anyone, when Aspergers is NOT a disease but a way some people communicate with the world.

    Frodo

Strange, Frodo, you make this comment, but have been on a minor rant for the last few months about men who wear heels higher that four inches doing it for the reaction and/or cross dressers being "in your face" to attract attention.

Didn't you leave the board because of this same issue?
