  1. i agree. the u.s. made wear exactly as ordered. often you see them advertised with a specific heel, you e mail them and ask if that is the exact heel. they say yes it is, take your money, and send you a cheap copy of the u.s. made and it has nothing to do with the u.s. hell. ah well. i've only been riped off twice: once by Forplay. the other was Wildrose, eastern U.S. and i think they sold my credit card number too...

  2. i am coming to toronto on saturday and i'm going to go via air, all the way, from my house to their house in my black 6 inch heel cupid boots. i'm going to enjoy that trip and i'll tell you all about it when i get back. what i've noticed in flashy places is women thing they are flashy, then they see you in heels 3 times higher than theirs and the kooky reactions start happening. so i'll keep you informed.

  3. i think the more you go out, the more you will find that folks mostly don't care. they are going to look at you yes. and maybe they will do a double take, but generally i think they will be impressed. no pun intended. i have worn my 6 inch heels in toronto and montreal and have never heard a lousy comment. i've worn them in ottawa though and have heard 2 negative remarks which just aren't worth repeating. i don't know what's up with that. but. what a trill... standing there on the corner of Yonge and College with some ultra sexy 6 inch heels, wondering what street i should take a walk up.

  4. heels for me have to be at least 6 inches or i'm not interested. they also have to be slim line. i never liked chunky heels and have never worn them. today a woman asked how high the leathers were on my 6 inch heel cupid boots!! i pointed to my ankle and she seemed disappointed. kooky... but i will agree with TXT in that 6 inch heels and higher with platforms, the only kind i wear, are very expensive.

  5. Terry: i've worn my 6 inch heels down queen street west, near spadina and bathurst area and came across the store: heel boy. had my pictures taken in front of it! not many folks down that way gave me any negative looks or remarks. i was wearing black 6 inch heels with a pant leg. i wore my white 6 inch spike heels down church street with black lyrca leggings!!! whew! now that was a bit on the crazy side i will admit. that was a few years ago when i was more crazy than brave!!! but what i've found in my experience is: most folks admire you for your honesty and your willingness to get out there and do your own thing. Toronto, i found, was a good city for that.

  6. whew! those white 7.5 inch heels are some pretty awesome looking shoes. i have 2 pairs in black and have yet to wear them outside of the house. this spring i am going to purchase a pair of 8 inch heels in white. i've looked at them on pierre silber all winter and i'm tired of looking at them on the internet. i want to look at them on my feet! as far as wearing 6 inch heels on the street, it took me a few summers but i finally got over the fear and i can tell you its been an awesome experience, walking down a city sidewalk in broad daylight with a pant leg length that doesn't cover any of the heel. being slim does assist and the long hair as well. some folks in restaurants or driving by just assume i'm a woman and don't really stop and stare. but the ones on the street who are walking towards me, or walking up behind me, those are the folks whose reactions are quite amusing. today is the first day i've gotten out in my heels and it feels great even though i'm out of practice, not just in the business of walking down a sidewalk without tripping, but also in the confidence department. a lot of men just stop and stare. and women too, they look down and then at me and they just can't believe it. (i'm wearing my brand new boots from Forplay Shoes, 6 inch heels in black, i think on their website they call them: Cupid, with slim line jeans which are tight around the ankle.) something that helps me out in a big way: i moved to this city just 3 years ago. no one knows me and this is great. i can walk down any street in my heels and not have to worry about running into a relative or friend of the family. that helps in a major way. so i can walk pretty much anwhere, like here, to this internet cafe on a sunday afternoon.

  7. i'm reading with a lot of interest your adventures introducing your heels to your new lady friend. reminds me of those early days when i was introducing my 6 inch heel collection to my then, lady friend, now wife. the first time she visited me at my place, and this was very early in the relationship, she saw 6 pairs of heels lined up along a wall in the bedroom. we were off to the races in a very positive way after that. looking forward to hearing more of your story.

  8. i would wear my white 6 inch spike heels with shorts all summer if i had the nerve. i did have the nerve just one day last summer. there was a street festival downtown and i wore my double buckle beauties from frederick's of hollywood, with a pair of really short Guess jean shorts and a white, Andy Warhol print t shirt featuring Marilyn Monroe. i was in the company of lady friend and we had a good time down there. i lasted 3 hours in my heels before my feet were absolutely killing me. but it was worth it. it was a look i've always wanted to wear in public, down a crowded city street. the spirit of the festival and the encouragement from my wife and her friend gave me the confidence to pull that one off. but. i wish i had the nerve to wear the same outfit and shoes with or without a festival and company.

  9. i've been around the streets this week with my new boots and spent a lot of time watching them... in those big mirrors that are so common in all the big malls these days. like i said, i had my pants hemmed so the heel and platform wouldn't be hidden. well now i am wondering, what is the right pant leg length and, what is the right width at the ankle? the reason i ask is i saw myself in the mall in a mirror and saw that i was wearing the "boot" cut jeans. but to me, the opening at the bottom seemed a bit too large. not like those slick jeans i wear in the summer with my sherberts. those jeans are tight on the ankle. i prefer them this way. so my question is this: what is the right length? and what is the right cut at the ankle in terms of pant leg? is the boot cut on jeans suppose to hide the boot? if so, that doesn't make any sense to me. your reply would be greatly appreciated.

  10. The good folks over at Forplay Shoes in LA delivered the boots I've been waiting for. On their website they call them Cupid. But to me they are the sexy Sherbert Platform with a boot upper. That's a full 6 inch heel and a two inch platform. They arrived 2 weeks ago and I finally had the chance to wear them down at the mall. Now of course there is the big Christmas rush going on and the mall is packed. I wore my new boots with some slick jeans I had hemmed so the pant leg wouldn't hide any of the heel or platform. Its fun because a lot of women are on the streets, wearing a wide variety of boots these days. But none of them could come close to the 6 inch heel beauties I was sporting and the reactions were quite amusing actually. Especially in the shoe stores where my wife likes to spend a lot of time, even though she is not the high heel wearer that I am. Anyway, I'm on my way home, I have the week off, and maybe, just maybe, I'll be spending the next serveral days sporting my ultra attention getting 6 inch heels down mainstreet!

  11. i've read with a lot of interest your story about going out for the first time with your heels. its a great story and reminds me of the first few times i went outside with my heels. those first few outings i'm sure will test your courage and heel wearing stamina! but once you get over the butterflies and the negative thoughts, its a great experience. tonight i am at an internet cafe on the main street of this good city. i am wearing my 6 inch heel sherbert platforms from pierre silber. no one in here as noticed my shoes yet! and this place is full of hustle and bustle. my sherberts are about the most comfortable 6 inch heels i've worn and i can go out with them for the whole day. i recently made a trip to montreal and spent 10 full hours wearing them, much of the time spent walking along the Hubert outdoor mall/plaza. i think that's what its called. i never believed in wearing long pant legs to cover the shoe. i've always worn my 6 inch heels totally exposed. the pant leg comes down to the top of the heel, covering a bit of the ankle strap. when i sit down, like now at the rented computer, the entire shoe is exposed including the ankle strap. still, nobody notices. they have though on the street as they hear that sound only a 6 inch heel can make! this is about the best i can do. my sherberts are black. i would like to wear my collection of white 6 inch heels more often but i only get out with those on rare club outings. i've always wanted to wear them down the streets with my cut off jean shorts and did manage that one day this summer, in july. it was a thrilling experience! but the white ones are stilettos and i can only manage 3 hours in those. i did wear them to the halloween ball last year. it was and egyptian theme and the party i was with, the men wore those short white skirts you sometimes see in egyptian art. i wore the white mini skirt, a white tuxedo jacket with egyptian symbols i sewed on, and my white 6 inch double buckle beauties from frederick's of hollywood! i saved my legs before the party and painted my toe nails with the color: copper sun. that was an extremely thrilling experience, to be in a club with 500 other party folks, and me wearing my heels totally in the open! the women were really staring at me and my shoes that night! as your confidence grows, you can expect some very interesting conversations with women who notice your shoes and care to make a comment or two about them. and those experiences i have found to be very rewarding as well as confidence boosting. so keep it up and have fun and remember, watch your step!

  12. it might not be the worst reaction but it was definitely the worst wipe out i ever had! after a solid day in my slick white double buckle beauties from frederick's of hollywood, sporting my short blue jean shorts and a marilyn monroe t shirt in andy warhol style, i met the most undesirable end to a great day. i had managed to walk several blocks, through a festival which had taken over bank street, and received many wonderful comment about my slick and shaved legs and especially about my white high heels. and this was all wonderful and going according to plan. then within sight of my house, i stepped into a dip in sidewalk and down i went!!!!!! that was so embarrassing. there was a line up of cars right there at the lights! waiting and they were all watching. did i feel like a fool! i'm not sure what was more reactive. the girls looking at my legs or the guys in their cars watching me wipe out! what a mess. ah well. it just goes to show you can't win them all.

  13. the first time i went in public with my heels was pretty nerve wracking. only one lady saw me and she was definitely surprised to see a guy wearing bright white 6 inch heeled sandals. she got over it though and we had a conversation around it. and i use to visit a lady friend who was very jealous of me wearing such high heels when she could not. that was all i needed in the confidence building and now, usually... i don't have a problem with going out wearing really high heels. can't do it right now though as i live in canada and there is three feet of snow here in downtown ottawa!
