KennyUK Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 after years of abandoning the idea of heeling again, Buoyed by Chris's recent positive posts that the world wouldn't start to spin backwards I warmed to the idea again. I went to Lakeside after Christmas and found some nice Cowboy style boots in Evans, size 10. perfect. I initally wore them round Lakeside for the reminder of my journey - ouch, fat blister on my left foot but still quite comfy apart from that. I got some insoles and after about a further 10 days of building up to it I decided to go out Friday night. Pink and Grey striped Jumper with a white shirt underneath, long bootcut jeans and of course the boots. I was absolutely bricking it but by the time I got in the pub for a bit I was ok, moved onto the club and again nothing was said. Afterwards met a girl and went back to hers....nothing said as we sat on her couch or the next morning when I was sitting on her living floor with them very visible. So happy was I that I decided to repeat performance on Saturday night but this time as no-one seemed to notice on Friday, despite my sudden height spurt and klippity clop noise on the pavement. So this time I actively seeked to see what people thought. Saw some girls I knew in a club and showed them, they thought it was pretty cool and respected me for what I was doing. In another club I saw a girl wearing EXACTLY the same boots but she proper freaked out when I did the reveal. Spoke to the shot lady for about 5 minutes about boots, she was in stripper style platforms herself. That was a pretty awesome weekends socialising, my feet ached on Sunday though.
sendra45 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Fantastic to have you back. Also fantastic that you managed to score wearing your heels as well. Nigel The angels have the phonebox.

HappyFeat Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Thanks for posting your adventure! It warms my heart to hear that any of us had such a great weekend. Though I go out quite often, it isn't every experience that I would describe as great. Keep it up! Style is built from the ground up!
dr1819 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 That was a pretty awesome weekends socialising, my feet ached on Sunday though. Cool! If you make it a habit (provided they're shoes that are designed well and fit well), and you'll adjust in no time!

KennyUK Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 hey guys and gals, just an update really. I've now worn my boots out on the town every weekend since I first posted and so far so good. A few girls I know have given me a lot of stick about it but I just roll wit the punches. I was having quite a heated debate with a girl last night who was using the old "Only girls should wear heels" argument hopefully this pic will work
Elegant Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Well, I think your boots are really nice and they could be mistaken for cowboy boots marketed towards males really easily. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
