Clogs

As the warmer weather is here and shorts are taking over from pants, it is difficult to wear heels descretely. During the warmer months, I also enjoy wearing clogs. Since I can't enjoy incline that heels afford you, my second favorite feeling is sliding a nice clog on and off my foot. Does anyone else enjoy this as well?

Here is a pair I got to wear with shorts for the summer (they are actually olive color not brown which is a shame, brown would have been better). These are Steve Madden style "Becky".

I'd definitely consider a clog with a fuzzy inner for a house slipper.

Sscotty727:-)

I haven't gotten into clogs yet, but if I did, I would prefer a higher heel.

Cheers---

Hi Dawn.

I do have clogs with higher heels (I have pics of them in another post) that I wear with jeans and longer pants. The ones I posted here are for when I have to wear shorts since they are more descrete.

Also, I love the feeling of heels, but my second favorite (for when I can't wear heels) is the feeling of sliding your foot in and out of a clog.

I like wearing clogs and Dr. Scholls too. The Steve Maddens in the picture are cool. I wouldn't mind wearing a pair like those in public. Some of mine are even higher than those.

If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!

I need to find some clogs in my size. It seems as though I don't have too much trouble finding whatever's in season. Now I'm finding thong sandals all over the place (with varying heel and wedge heights), hopefully in due time I'll be able to add clogs to my pumps, sandals, and (female) flip-flops.

My wife (who normally doesn't wear heels) just bought these to wear to a cookout today. I can't wait to see her in them :P

Since this is a graduation party for her niece and she will have alot of family/friends over, I will probably wear the clogs originally posted in the first message.

My wife wouldn't approve of me wearing heels like that in public, and yes I will definitely admire her wearing her heels;) BTW, this is the same niece who told her mom she thought it was weird when she saw me wearing block heels a few years ago and the same mom who came to my defense and eventually had dinner with me so I could wear my 4" pumps to a resturant;) My wife still cringes at the idea of me wearing pumps or anything with a thin heels outside. Fortunately she tolerates block/wedge heels, but only with long enough pants. Scotty

Not really clogs, but I really like THESE WEDGIES that I found at Payless website the other day. Will probably buy the brown version next payday (yes, money is that tight at the moment).

I am going to DC on Monday night to see the fireworks display. Instead of being on the Mall, my sister in law got us into her building (which is a government building with full security, etc). Now, since I will be wearing shorts, the clogs seem most appropriate to wear. The first pair would seem more conservative for security, her co-workers, etc, but the second pair is nicer as they have atleast some heel. Which would you think I should go with?

Thanks,

Scotty

PS: I am wearing the second pair to work today

Hey Epi, Glad you like them as well. I am going to wear mine with shorts today to a baseball game with the family. Wore them out several times now with shorts and never had a comment. Like you said, they are great for stealth street heeling. One small thing. I did use a sharpie and darkened in the white stitching. You might also want to consider that as they look even more stealthy without the white stitching. Take care, Scotty

Keep posting Sally. You don't have far to go before you get out of those hideous comfy loafers.

I have a question for Epi and Scotty. I've been thinking about buying a pair of the Born clogs. How are they as far as size, do they run big or small? I like the ones that you show in your pics!

If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
