sscotty727 Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 As the warmer weather is here and shorts are taking over from pants, it is difficult to wear heels descretely. During the warmer months, I also enjoy wearing clogs. Since I can't enjoy incline that heels afford you, my second favorite feeling is sliding a nice clog on and off my foot. Does anyone else enjoy this as well? Here is a pair I got to wear with shorts for the summer (they are actually olive color not brown which is a shame, brown would have been better). These are Steve Madden style "Becky". Thanks, Scotty
Polly Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 i love to wear dr scholls exercise sandals, all the time at home and outside when its warm.............i love the feel of them and the sound they make
Dawn HH Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Sscotty727:-) I haven't gotten into clogs yet, but if I did, I would prefer a higher heel. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Shafted Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I'd definitely consider a clog with a fuzzy inner for a house slipper. Shafted, the boots that is! rxrenesis Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 During the summer I wear both clogs & Dr Scholls If the shoe fits BUY IT http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/rxrenesis/Shoe%20Shots/
sscotty727 Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 Sscotty727:-) I haven't gotten into clogs yet, but if I did, I would prefer a higher heel. Cheers--- Dawn HH Hi Dawn. I do have clogs with higher heels (I have pics of them in another post) that I wear with jeans and longer pants. The ones I posted here are for when I have to wear shorts since they are more descrete. Also, I love the feeling of heels, but my second favorite (for when I can't wear heels) is the feeling of sliding your foot in and out of a clog. Scotty
docs41 Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I like wearing clogs and Dr. Scholls too. The Steve Maddens in the picture are cool. I wouldn't mind wearing a pair like those in public. Some of mine are even higher than those. If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
Danielinheels Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I need to find some clogs in my size. It seems as though I don't have too much trouble finding whatever's in season. Now I'm finding thong sandals all over the place (with varying heel and wedge heights), hopefully in due time I'll be able to add clogs to my pumps, sandals, and (female) flip-flops. sscotty727 Posted June 22, 2005 Author Posted June 22, 2005 What size are you? I take a US 11 and found a good selection on Ebay. Good luck. Scotty
Danielinheels Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 At minimum, I'd need a generous 12, if not a 13. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. - Oscar Wilde
sscotty727 Posted June 22, 2005 Author Posted June 22, 2005 Try one of these two links: (there are more selections under size 12 and since there is no back you probably could wear them) Ebay Size 12 Clogs Ebay Size 13 Clogs Scotty
pussyinboots Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I just adore clog mules in the Summer - or wedges - like these: http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/507820at.jpg http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/504422at.jpg http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/509256at.jpg http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/520400at.jpg http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/510697at.jpg Elegant Summer heels that keep the feet cool too. Paul (North-East) Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Hi Pussyinboots, Faith are great aren't they. I like the 4th and 5th pairs the best. very sexy. My wife just bought these from Faith a few weeks ago. Paul.
sscotty727 Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 My wife (who normally doesn't wear heels) just bought these to wear to a cookout today. I can't wait to see her in them Since this is a graduation party for her niece and she will have alot of family/friends over, I will probably wear the clogs originally posted in the first message. Scotty
Shafted Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 What! and she didn't buy you a pair too, oh well at least you can admire hers. Shafted, the boots that is! sscotty727 Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 My wife wouldn't approve of me wearing heels like that in public, and yes I will definitely admire her wearing her heels;) BTW, this is the same niece who told her mom she thought it was weird when she saw me wearing block heels a few years ago and the same mom who came to my defense and eventually had dinner with me so I could wear my 4" pumps to a resturant;) My wife still cringes at the idea of me wearing pumps or anything with a thin heels outside. Fortunately she tolerates block/wedge heels, but only with long enough pants. Scotty
docs41 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Those slides that your wife bought are HOT!!! If I was you I would have to have a pair like them!!!!! If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
Dr. Shoe Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Yes, those are what I call clogs. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
sscotty727 Posted June 26, 2005 Author Posted June 26, 2005 I know these aren't very high, but I wore these out with my shorts to Wal-Mart shopping. Not one person said a word or even noticed. Scotty
azraelle Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Not really clogs, but I really like THESE WEDGIES that I found at Payless website the other day. Will probably buy the brown version next payday (yes, money is that tight at the moment). sscotty727 Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 I am going to DC on Monday night to see the fireworks display. Instead of being on the Mall, my sister in law got us into her building (which is a government building with full security, etc). Now, since I will be wearing shorts, the clogs seem most appropriate to wear. The first pair would seem more conservative for security, her co-workers, etc, but the second pair is nicer as they have atleast some heel. Which would you think I should go with? Thanks, Scotty PS: I am wearing the second pair to work today
Dawn HH Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Sscotty727:-) I would say...go for the second pair and enjoy yourself. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
pussyinboots Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I bought these the other day - I made the anklets though..... http://www.filehigh.com/serve.php?u=1646&i=24560&t=.jpeg http://www.filehigh.com/serve.php?u=1646&i=24561&t=.jpeg .......and although these aren't clogs - they are some of my favourites and are just FAB!!! http://www.filehigh.com/serve.php?u=1646&i=24556&t=.jpeg http://www.filehigh.com/serve.php?u=1646&i=24549&t=.jpg "Good Girls keep diaries....Bad Girls just don't have the time...!:icon_twisted:"
Gayle Gold Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Sorry, clogs are not for me. At best, I'll do some high cork wedges GGxxx
sscotty727 Posted July 4, 2005 Author Posted July 4, 2005 Hey Epi, Glad you like them as well. I am going to wear mine with shorts today to a baseball game with the family. Wore them out several times now with shorts and never had a comment. Like you said, they are great for stealth street heeling. One small thing. I did use a sharpie and darkened in the white stitching. You might also want to consider that as they look even more stealthy without the white stitching. Take care, Scotty
Sally2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Clogging up the site! Lol. I don't think clogs will make it big!!!!! (But what do i know... I'm only a comfy loafer. :-( ) sal.
Shafted Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Keep posting Sally. You don't have far to go before you get out of those hideous comfy loafers. Shafted, the boots that is! docs41 Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I have a question for Epi and Scotty. I've been thinking about buying a pair of the Born clogs. How are they as far as size, do they run big or small? I like the ones that you show in your pics! If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
