peachyshoes Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Very exciting! Just thought I'd tell everyone about my big adventure. I have never been a big heel fan as i have small feet and trouble balancing. However Heelfan has just bought me a pair of 6 inch stilletoes. Surprisingly, I managed to stand up and not fall over (except there was a fair amount of wobbling!). So after a a bit of very unelegent tottering around the house I decided to brave the streets. As soon as I stepped out of the door I was accosted by the neighbours asking how I could walk in such high shoes, to which I replied "with great difficulty so far". It was amazing how many men in passing cars were staring at my feet, one almost had an accident! I did feel extremly sexy. Anyway I managed to get all the way to the shop and back, with some degree of wobble. However my legs did resemble that of a chicken trying to walk. I think my first attempt to walk in shoes over 3 inches was a sucess, atleast I didn't fall over. Much practice is needed before I attempt to get to the pub in them I feel. I must congratulate anyone who can spend a day in those shoes. Hopefully with a little practice I will be wearing them alot more. Mel 1
sendra45 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Well done. I am sure Heelfan will be keen to get you selling them in your shop, I hope business is going well. I have only gone as far as 5.5 inches myself but with size 10 feet it is a little easier. My wife (who you have met) is pictured to the left of this and all of my posts in her 6 inchers. You are on a very busy road there in Bristol so watch out, don't cause any crashes! Well done and if you see Heelfan sometime send him our regards from up here in Swindon. The angels have the phonebox.
asdf174 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Congradulations! Just keep practiceing it'll keep easier. It's all good. ~Arron.

Heelfan Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Yes, it was very spectacular! Young Peachy opened her ladies' shoe shop "PEACHY SHOES" (tel: 0117 3309090) in Bristol UK seven weeks ago. Her "high street" styles up to 4 1/2" were the first stocks to arrive. However, now the "serious heels" (5" to 7" in all gals' & guys' sizes) have started arriving and going on display. She's also planning a range of chunky and semi-chunky 2" to 5" heels for guy's street-heeling. It seemed highly appropriate for the proprietress (20) to demonstrate the way into mega-heels, so as she said above, I treated her to a stunning pair of her shop's black d'orsays with ankle straps and wicked 6" stiletto heels. Peachy's tiny size 3 1/2 UK feet were thrust up past the vertical and her debut started off with two or three circuits of her showroom the much flailing of arms to retain balance. Then, to my amazement, intead of calling that it for the first time, she headed out of the shop door and up the road to the general store! On her way, she called in at the boutique next door and the young assistant in there immediately asked if Peachy could bring slightly larger pairs for her to try on! Peachy says that several Forum members have already visited Peachy shoes (including Nhoj62, Nigel and Secreto) and one member has already bought five pairs of mega-heeled shoes, mules and boots! Peachy has just gone off for a weekend break to Bath, and tells me that she packed her new 6" stilettos to stun the other hotel guests at dinner! Very well done Peachy, and cheers to all! Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Paul (North-East) Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Thats brilliant Mel! Keep practising, believe me, you'll look amazing in them! Good luck with your new shoe shop and keep posting! Paulxxx

balletboot2000 Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Well done Mel, that is some feat with tiny feet. Keep up the ggod work BB I love the feel of that ultimate lift!
Heelfan Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Hi Trolldeg! Mel's 6" heels were chosen from her own newly-arrived Peachy Shoes stocks. They are D'Orsays in black leather with thin ankle-straps. In little size 3 (UK) shoes, the steepness of the arch is incredible. Nigel has offered (see "Heelmeets Calendar") to photograph Mel and her new showrooms soon and to publish tghe shots on the Forum, so we'll see if he can include a picture of her prancing about in those six-inchers! Regarding brand-names, rather than stocking any one previously-established brand, Mel has been ordering from a number of different UK and overseas manufacturers (including some of her exclusive designs) to get the best of everything, and is putting them out under her exclusive "Heels4all" label. Cheers, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Dawn HH Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Peachy:-) Welcome to the HH Place Forum, and congrats on your opening your own shoe shop. Much success for you and I'm sure you will have many Forum members in to make their purchases. Heelfan:-) It's nice to have you back on the Forum again as you haven't posted in quite a while. Welcome back. Cheers--- Mickey68 Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

There's too much of the same on the internet (and ordinary stores) when it comes to more fetish type shoes, so new and exclusive models are allways welcome.
sendra45 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Hi Everybody, I will give Peachy and Heelfan a call and get down there as soon as I can. Nigel The angels have the phonebox.

Guest Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Wow! Well done on trying and suceeding on such a challenge!!! Would be great to see some pictures of the shop, I'll have to make sure I visit if I'm ever in that part of the country... Bob.
Gayle Gold Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Mel, Very well done. Heelfan was quite right to encourage you - especially as you are selling them. Hope you enjoyed the experience - I did the first time and it got better as time went on. Next ones have got to be 7- inchers. Congratulations and all the best on your shop. Have you always been in this line? It is good for a specialist shop to have specialist knowledge - which tends to go by the wayside when you start employing staff especially those who have no interest in the subject. A number of shops do not make you welcome and/or you have a bloke or a middle-aged woman who look older than her years in comfy shoes and tweed skirt. Anyway, look forward to visiting shop but in meantime look forward to seeing pictures - although I can't see many pictures as a lot appear to be blocked. GGxxx
Heelfan Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Mel (Peachy Shoes) and I thank everyone for their compliments. Moderator Firefox has now posted pictures of the shop and Mel in her 6 inchers on: http://hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?t=4640&start=20 Cheers (proud dad), Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Dawn HH Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Heelfan:-) The paint and the set-up of the front of the shop looks very inviting. It should pull customers in if only for curiosity sake. If you can get them in, then you can sell them something. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
balletboot2000 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Any news on how "Peachy Mel" is getting on with her new venture? I love the feel of that ultimate lift!
