Alone in the Office

This is one of those great days; the sun is shining here in the UK, I'm alone in the office and will be all afternoon and so I'm wearing my 4" blade ankle boots and just loving it. Isn't it a great feeling when one can wear the objects of your desire for more than a short time. I really enjoy the feeling of the pressure on the balls of my feet and the slight tension in the legs. Being able to walk around in them rather than sitting in the car and only going in for petrol is just so wonderful. I wish the office were bigger then I could walk further listening to the heels tik tak on the corridor floor. I suppose that I'd want the stilettos for that particular peculair sound. the one that is so loud in the ears as you walk about especially when out in the street. So evocative when you hear it from somebody else and have to look around to see who's wearing them. Any othjer take the opportunity to wear their heels when alone in the office? Push the boundaries, expand the envelope

Ah yes. I've worn stiletto courts a few times when I've been working on my own at weekend. Once I was sitting at my desk a few weeks ago wearing my black suede 4.5" stilettos when my boss walked in! I remember hoping that whatever he wanted wouldn't involve me getting up! As it turned out he was just offering me some lunch. When he left I went and stood where he'd been, and realised that I could see under my desk! Nothing was said though, so either he didn't notice or didn't care. Phew! Chris

Yeah, I've worn heels a fair few times when i'm working alone in the office on weekends... on the rare occasions i've even gone a bit further by wearing skirts or 3/4 tight ladies capri pants.... like chris, someone walked in on me and i basically had to stay at my desk until they've gone (i'm quite sure they notice i was acting funny and may even know that i'm wearing heels and short skirt). I've sometimes venture between floors (my company owns 3 levels in the building) and then later realise that there are security cameras in the lifts........

.... Any othjer take the opportunity to wear their heels when alone in the office? ....

Many years ago, I did try this.

I had to work on a Sunday with a small group of people. They were scheduled to appear after 9am. So I got to work very early (around 6am) and brought along a pair of front-lace, knee-high, 6" stiletto heel boots.

I first went to a private room where I slipped the boots on and secured them nice and tight. Then I exited that room and walked down the hallway past the elevators, and entered the large office room where we were to perform our work later that morning. It was great walking around the desks and in front of the windows with their blinds pulled up.

After a while, my feet became fatigued. I decided to sit at one of the desks and read a newspaper. And then it happened.

I heard a chime indicating that one of the elevators was stopping on my floor. I watched through the large glass window as the elevator doors opened and a person exit. It was one of my co-workers arriving about 2 hours early !!!

I watched him enter the large office room I was in. I made sure that my legs were out of sight under the desk. After we greeted each other, he sat at a desk at the other end of the room where he started reading a newspaper.

I felt a chill going up and down my spine. If he arrived early, would others soon follow? I had to get back to that private room and change my shoes.

I looked around the office and figured a way I could leave and exit without exposing my legs. As I stood up, I realized my feet were still fatigued. That meant I would not be able to walk normally. But I had to take a chance. As I slowly weaved around the desks toward the exit, I glanced at my co-worker to see if he was watching me. He wasn't.

After I reached the hallway, I realized I would have to pass in front of all of the elevators. I prayed that no one would be stopping at my floor as I slowly traversed the hallway. I made it to the private room where I was able to change my shoes.

It was quite an exciting and memorable morning.

I once went to the Model Railway club on a Sunday afternoon on the RAF base wgere I worked. I slipped out of my men's shoes and put on a pair of stiletto boots and worked on my own for several hours. During this, I found that I needed something from my room so I left the hobby centre letting the Yale lock close behind me. Suddenly I realised I was still in my stills and I had left the keys inside including those to my room! Fortunately, I knew that others would be over later that evening so I would be able to retrieve my male shoes. Also, it was summer so I had left my window open and it was on the ground floor so I was praying that noone would see me!

I am alone at the office now and I am wearing black thi boots, white leather skirt and tight black sweater. I love to work late. Sometimes I go to the copy room dressed like this, if no one is around.

Everyone should wear boots!

I wear 4" heel boots of all types in the office but during the day with the other staff. It's not as difficult as you might think. Once colleagues have seen them a few times there are many more important things to worry about such as earning a living. I found the stories amusing though. Keep them coming !

I've rarely worn heels to the office. One night, however, I went out with my wife, then adjourned to the office around 9:30 pm, taking care of some last minute details on a contract. Around 10:15, one of my colleagues came in to finish his part of the deal. We talked about it for a few minutes, but I was behind my desk. Then he said, "Gene' - I was wondering if you'd come take a look at the new matrix (used for security) I'm working on." When I hesitated, he said, "Don't worry - I know about your ankle problem. **** (my wife) told ***** (his wife) and I about one evenign at *** (casino) while you were in the latrine. And we've seen you out from time to time. I'm ok with it - really." I sort of went, "well, ok..." and we proceeded to talk about the issue for the next half an hour. He only glanced at my heels once. Since then, we've had him and his wife over for dinner. I skipped the usual 4" boots and opted for a jeans and a pair of comfortable, wide-strap sandals with an elevated (2-1/2") wedge heel and enclosed heel cups. Look like men's sandals, but still have enough lift. It just wasn't a big deal. Now if I were into pink patent thigh-high stilletos... Yeah. That'd definately be different.

  • 2 weeks later...

For those of you who love to dress up when working alone at the office, here is some very important advice. Become friendly with the security staff on duty. I would often hang around their security desk and converse with them. This allowed me to identify the hidden camera locations as the cameras would switch at their monitoring panel. You would be surprised at just how small and inconspicuous cameras can be today. Know where they are located so you can avoid them.

Yes, one's just appeared in our machine room. That used to be an ideal place for a stroll at work, as it's in a secure area and is a large room so there's plenty of space to wander around in. Now there's a camera in there! Ah well, at least I noticed it before I wandering in there in my stilettos! Chris

I've always felt that, unless you owned the business, it was inadvisable to wear heels at your work place because most employeers would view it as being inappropriate or unusual behavior.

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
