Heeling In Atlantic City, Nj...

Today I wore my 2 inch stacked/block heel cowboy-ish type boots for a band performance in Atlantic City. I may or may not have pictures (depending on what kind of shots my friends got). But I will say I did lots of walking - from the parking garage to the event center, and places in between. No funny looks, no comments, nothing...

Quite honestly, I wouldn't expect your footwear choice to draw much attention at all (at least based on you description).

Shafted, the boots that is! View my gallery here http://www.hhplace.o...afteds-gallery/ or view my heeling thread here http://www.hhplace.org/topic/3850-new-pair-of-boots-starts-me-serious-street-heeling/ - Pm me if you want fashion advice or just need someone to talk to.

That's cool! I do a piano bar gig once a month, and wore high heel boots with 4.5" heels. No problem at all. Rock goes hand in hand with heels. I would love to see some pics of the show.

It was my band. I didn't make that clear. I performed in front of 100+ people. And I was on a huge stage...

As I said, I don't see what anyone would have a problem with. Cowboy boots with 2 inch heels aren't going to draw any attention period, no matter where you wear them. Think about it. It really is nothing out of the ordinary.

You may feel you are pushing the envelope, but not really. Feel free to keep pushing. You have in fact reached the threshold of what people are going to notice.

Maybe a picture of the boots is in order. Perhaps we are missing something!? As for the heel size I wear 2" heeled western boots every day, but as they are simply men's western boots they certainly do not attract any one's attention.

Okay, I thought about this, and maybe cowboy boots with 2 inch heels with full color detailing in the scroll stitching might be pushing that envelope.

On stage? I actually introduced Maine humorist Tim Sample on stage in stiletto boots. Pretty easy stuff.

2" heels on cowboy boots is somewhat normal. I have a pair with 4" heels and somewhat pointed toes and what draws attention are the pointed toes. The heels are not a concern with anybody. Even my wife! Of course fancy scroll stitching might bring more but sounds good to me!

Here's a picture of what I wore. These are from Avenue. I do feel that I'm pushing the envelope when I'm wearing these. I like them a lot. Perhaps they might help me get the courage to wear my stilettos out one day (see my gallery)... <a href=' src='http://www.hhplace.org/uploads/gallery/album_317/gallery_19656_317_3297604.jpg' alt='The biker/cowboy boot...' /></a>

A chunky heel generally won't draw as much attention on a man as a stiletto heel would. TRUST ME, if you had gone to that performance in spiked heels people would have noticed. Even LOW ones.

I don't necessarily WANT to attract attention. If it happens, fine, but I would rather just fly under the radar, and just be me. As a rocker, the chunky heel just looks better. Yes I do have some spiked boots too, but I have yet to coordinate a tasteful outfit to go with them. So for now they are just "around the house" boots. And honestly, I would probably NEVER wear stilettos on stage, given how active I am while on stage and how much I move around. The stilettos may be just for parties and social events...

  • 3 weeks later...

I was in Atlantic for a weekend last winter with my girlfriend who insisted that I wear the 4 inch black strappy stilettos heels she bought for me. I wore them with roled up jeans. I got lots of stares but only good compliments, especially about the dark maroon nail color.

Good for you, legbarer17. If you wear heels let people see your heels. And a nice pedi always goes well with strappy sandals. I have a red pedi all the time. Nice to hear that your g/f supports you heeling and buys you heels too. Happy Heeling, bluejay
