ilikekicks Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Gee, I wonder if that was spurred by my shoot the groundhog comment. Shooting is too good for Phil! Winter is still here!!!! I saw one of his relatives this past week. I thought ' they are some nice people.. '.. Now? Im finning to go ' Galactic Empire ' and break out the light sabres on all of them! REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
JeffB Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I want the miserable furry little bastard slowly roasted on a spit----ALIVE!! Here in the Philly area, we haven't seen the high side of 45 for over a week now, and the forecast is calling for wet snow overnight and into tomorrow. NOT exactly springlike weather! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
meganiwish Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 I seem to have tapped a vein of disenchantment. So it's not just me who's cold, then.
Shafted Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Spring starts on March 21st. Groundhog's don't have say in the matter. Shafted, the boots that is! meganiwish Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 I thought Spring was when the mean daily temperature was above 7o, that's about 44oF if my maths is right. We're nowhere near. Ah, I see where JeffB's 45 comes in.
Shafted Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Spring occurs when the days become the same length as the night or when the earth has no tilt relative to the sun. Shafted, the boots that is! AZShoeNut Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Oh man, and our weather girl just forcast temps in the 80s all this coming week. Now if we could split the difference and get 60s across the board then all would be happy. Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
JeffB Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Spring starts on March 21st. Groundhog's don't have say in the matter. Doesn't matter. I still want to barbecue the little son of a bitch. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
Guest Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I'm so fed up with winter we're going down New Zealand way to see if summer is still there. Al
ilikekicks Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Doesn't matter. I still want to barbecue the little son of a bitch. Got one for ya! Charcoal or Gas fire? I do have a Jack-Daniels sauce that works great on venicin! REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
meganiwish Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 You chaps do have a way of making cooking sound macho. It reminds me of a Napoleonic recipe I once read for horsemeat braised in a cavalryman's breast plate and seasoned with gunpowder. I fear I'm not up to such robust fare, but I dare say it would give a twist to a barbecue.
dww Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Has to be good old charcoal for me as I can't get on with those gas barbies. life is not a rehearsal
Shafted Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Has to be good old charcoal for me as I can't get on with those gas barbies. Yep, charcoal or wood is the only way to go for best flavor. ilikekicks Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 You chaps do have a way of making cooking sound macho. A woman knows no wrath as that of a hungry man! It reminds me of a Napoleonic recipe.. He was tall enough to see onto a grill? It does have to be Kingsford charcoal though for the fire, toss in a piece of hickory or 2.. maybe some apple tree branches.. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
meganiwish Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 A woman knows no wrath as that of a hungry man! But we know what to do about it.
