stilletoboot Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Do toe length matter when trying to get a very pointy stilleto heel I heard a lady say the other day that she wishes her toes were longer so she get pointier boots.
0 Shafted Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I can vouch for that being long toed myself. Long toes just form themselves effortlessly to a pointed toe box. Shafted, the boots that is! 0 Dr. Shoe Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 It doesn't make any difference at all, anything in front of the big joint is just fashion anyway.. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
0 Curt Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Pointy shoes aren't good for anyone! Just for looks. Not worth the pain
0 Simcity3 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Defenently worth the pain in my opinion. By choosing to wear high heel we accept at the same time we hurt our body and the same goes with pointy toes. I prefer pointy toes but have some round ones aswell http://meinheels.wordpress.com/
0 hhboots Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I think there are some very attractive high heel options that arent necessarily bad for the feet. I specifically prefer rounded or almond toe boxes for comfort and mostly own that style as to not damage my feet. However, I think it is still possible to find some pointed-toe shoes that won't destroy your feet if you get a proper fit and they aren't overly narrow or pointed. In the long run, I am sure that high heels of any variation are just not good for you, but then what fun is it to only do things that are good for you?
0 Shafted Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I can assure all that if pointy toes caused me pain, I wouldn't wear them. Shafted, the boots that is! 0 PatsyCline Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I've never understood the fashion style on long pointy shoes. I look at them and just see it makes a person's foot look larger, and since when have larger feet been a fashion statement? "Porsche...There is no Substitute"
0 Guest Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Never been impressed with then even less with the male styles that are still with us. Even an 1" beyond the toes seem to create a sort of slap or flap like clowns shoes. On a positive veiw the military flat boots (like Charlie Chaplins infamous footware) seem to be dying out. Al

0 fatfuzz Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Personally, I love a pointy toes but not too long...
0 Dr. Shoe Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Pointy toes won't cause the pain, the width of the shoe will cause the pain. Some designers make the shoes deliberately narrow to emphasise the pointy toes. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
