mskim61 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I was looking at the Fall arrivals on their website and when I went to the local retail store to check them out I found their doors were closed. I checked their online store locator and found they closed the 3 closest stores to me Sad for me since they helped me in my early years of heeling since they were one of a few stores that offered size 11. Another victim of the current economic situation I guess!
stw8 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 That's too bad. Hopefully Nine West doesn't go to the wayside. I haven't bought any heels from there lately, but I have 3 identical pairs of ankle strap sandals (black, red, brown) that I've found straight up sexy.
Steve63130 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I've heard that they are doing quite a bit of belt-tightening in these tough economic times, and they will soon be changing their name to Eight West. Steve
maninpumps Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 They closed the store in Louisville as well.
saudade Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Looking at their financials its not pretty: http://biz.yahoo.com/e/110729/jny10-q.html
stw8 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I've noticed over the last few times I've 'passed' by the Nine West store, the 75% off sale has been present over a 2+ week time span.
Jenny44M Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 The one closest to me (30 miles away!) is still open. I've used their website quite a bit because the only store is so far away.
gary0618 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Nine west may be closing some slower stores, but they ares till carrying a lot of new styles, and many in sizes 11 and 12 on their website. www.ninewest.com Here is a nice short video of a new style which comes in size 12. http://www.ninewest.com/2011/trend_shop,default,pg.html/#/maryjanes/video/?ep_tag=EMSEP20AD2 FLAT SHOES, LIKE FLAT DRINKS, ARE FOR FLAT PEOPLE
Dawnie Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I've heard that they are doing quite a bit of belt-tightening in these tough economic times, and they will soon be changing their name to Eight West. Steve This made me laugh!
