Weekly Wednesday Bakers Effect

(Should be a post every Wednesday on Bakers' latest styles in)

I knew and felt that I had to post. Bakers' "Fall Preview" is in! Well, email them first cause I don't know if they're actually in or not. But from my end, this would be worth the trip to Orland Park, Illinois. My "local" mall doesn't seem to stock the good pairs like the selection for this Fall.

But without further, follow the link and post your choices of wear here, like I did :irked:

Of course, the wedges are my absolute faves, as well as my top picks~

HHdude, Wonderful promo for Bakers as I had just seen these new fall shoes on the website earlier today and YOU have already posted them! The wedges did catch my attention, especially the tricolor pair, but those boots...those boots I could definitely see on my feet. I have noticed that Bakers' initial launch price has gone from $79-89 for most shoes to $95-105 for many now. $180 for these boots would have been unheard of two years ago at this company and yet the economy is still bad. I tell one store manager I thought the lauch pricing was getting out of control since they seem to noticeably discount their shoes not long after launch indicating the initial price may have been too high. Nevertheless, if this is a sampling of things to come then we all could be in for a real treat this fall. Wow, Boots in July! It reached 100F/38.4C at my house yesterday and I can look at pictures of fall boots already. Thanks! HappyinHeels:wavey:

Baker's always seemed to have the most beautiful shoes when I found myself on my own and able to try to find shoes I really liked the look. I purchased several pair usually late in the summer when they would have the spring/summer styles on clearance for as low as $3.99. I was always partial to styles of pumps and mary-janes. They just seemed to have the styles for all ages and casual to really feminine. They carried a brand called Qualicraft back then. They carried the highest of heels in the mid 1970's before the 5 inch heel became a standard. Still a place with very feminine styles with tall heels.

Just a bit higher to to delight - low enough for healthy foot comfort and great beginning.

The wheat ones look like a great choice for nervous first-time heelers - that's about as discreet as you can get! The tall brown suede boots would look great with a matching top and blue skinny jeans or a chocolate A-line mini-skirt and tan micronets.

If you like it, wear it.

I'm a sucker for tie-ups. Idk why, but it could be my guilty pleasure :irked:

Also some interesting booties for the Fall and rainy days, as well as three styles of Frankenstein shoes, haha. (But I would looove a pair of the wedges) ;D

Not just nervous first-timers. I think they would suit all male heelers....and they're quite 'girly' enough for girls too. In fact, they're SO nice - I've ordered a pair...!!
