How could I not buy a pair for a closer look and check the sizing! I am a true 11m so we will see how the Aldo's run? I got the ALDO Flolill on sale and with FREE shipping till Thursday and has free returns if need be! So how could I go wrong? So let me know what you all think and of my venture away from usual purchases of Frye's only! The short toe-point is just gorgeous. I think that suede boots have a certain 'cuddly' quality that makes them uniquely girly (is that what you're looking for....??) - and I bet they will look just fab on!! Wish their sizes didn't end at 11! (Just one more, guys -- just one size more!) This was just the Tip of the Iceberg for me and Aldo! I'M quite fortunate in the sense I'm a Size 10m but I usual get the 11m's so I don't have to stretch the toe boxes out! I know there has got to be a lot of you guy's here that would kill to have smaller feet and be able to buy shoes off the rack! I the good thing is that most women's feet as a whole have bee get larger as they get taller so size 12's right around the corner! I LOVE those! As far as the Suede goes my Frye Fiona lace up knee high are Chocolate suede and I love wearing them out with the wife! I LOVE the 2 tone Suede on these and can't wait! as far as "Girly" oh I don't mind in the sense if any one asks I just answer No they are my Boots and laugh! like I've said earlier once you've been on stage in nothing but Zebra Sandex in front of 10000 or 15000 people playing Bass there isn't much that can intimidate me any more! i just LOVE MY HEELS! And of course my wife that loves me for who I am! Thanks to all of You at this forum! It is alot of Fun! I'm really feeling welcome here and really Love all of your kind answers! I got them in black (The gray ones are very nice too) The salesgirl tried them and said they are very comfortable (I guess they always say that...) The Heel is not too high and the arch angle is good: Now I can't wait to see for myself ! I agree with you when you say it is so tough to wait ! You will get yours on Friday ? So I went to the store and tried them right away but guess what ? The ankle area is narrow and they don't have any side zipper. I cannot insert my feet in them pass the ankle... And yes, they were a litle bit over the knee (but not much: Maybe 1") So I suppose we can't call them real OTK boots. BTW the shorts boots from Dillard are all looking nice. But I admit I prefer the first one (Lore)... Glad to see you got your new boots and they fit fine ! (I would like to say the same for my boots but...) The Aldo "Noren" is not on their website yet but it is available n some stores. Maybe you would like to call the nearest Aldo asking if they have it or not. Since it is so new, maybe it is not in the U.S.A yet ? I know my Aldo store got the "Noren" in size 11 brown but I prefer black. I think I will return to Aldo now to try the brown pair to see how it fits. If it is OK then I may order the black ones. I am still trying to convince myself not to go and buy them but... Will let you know later tonight what happens with the "Noren" boots. With the few boots I have bought or tried on there I notice they tend to run small. The pair I bought I had to get a size larger than the shoes I buy there. You are absolutely right. I noticed it too (I mentionned this fact in some of my post) Lucky for me, their boots are made larger than their shoes... If the "Motayen" boots would have a zide zipper, they would have fit for sure... You said "had to get a size larger than the shoes" So I assume you are wearing size 10 or less ? Lucky you ! Nordstroms had some great sales but I we find a pair of anything in a size 11 (for me) or a size 6.5 or 7 for her that we liked! So I said lets head on down and try Aldo's and our Store has none of the New Seasons boots or any of the last years one either! I told the wife we will have to take a road trip in a month or so go up to the Mall of America and do some serious shopping then after all the New fall Boots come out! I figured that our Aldo's would be like that as are all of the other stores here they just don't carry any of the newest and best products! All part of the curse of living in the Land Of OZ! Nice boots you were wearing to the mall ! Good idea to go back to Aldo in a month or two since most fall boots will be in store... My Aldo store only got 3 pairs of boots in display: Way more to come ! Never ventured into Aldo for some reason, dont know why. Must pop in someday as it seems to be very popular with members here. I you wear size 11 or less then I stongly recommend to visit an Aldo store ! If you are a boot fan then as stated above, you should wait for the fall collection... If you like shoes (and your feet are narrow) then you will be in heaven ! BTW my two weeks vacation are over...Going back to work tomorrow Time to go to bed now...
