Julietta Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I got this in my email today and it is amazing am still bowled over try it for yourselves... ~ Are You Normal? ~ Carry out this test. Just follow the instructions as quickly as possible, but do not carry on reading the following questions before you finish the previous one. You do not need to write out the answers; just do it using your mind. You'll be overwhelmed by the results... How much does: 15+ 6 = 3+ 56 = 89 + 2 = 12+ 53 = 75+ 26 = 25+ 52 = 63+ 32 = I know! Calculations are hard work, but this is the real thing! Come on, a few more... 123+ 5 = QUICK! THINK ABOUT A TOOL AND A COLOR! Scroll further to the bottom... A bit more... Just a little further... You have just thought about a red hammer, haven't you???? If this is not the case, you are among 2% of the people who have a "different," if not "abnormal," mind. 98% of the folks would answer a "red hammer" while doing this exercise. If you do not believe this, pass it around and you'll see! Alex Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I thought of blue hammer. I'm different I wish I was a size 10
mk4625 Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I thought of blue hammer. I'm different So did I! And I didn't look at your answer first. Michael
Julietta Posted July 23, 2003 Author Posted July 23, 2003 Spooky, now that is spooky Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
Himark Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I came up with red hammer! Does that mean I'm normal? Many would disagree!
JCinHeels Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 i came up with a black hammer the fastest way to this man's heart is with nice legs in high heels
Bubba136 Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Hmmm! Don't know what I would have answered. I spoiled it by reading the replies before I read the test. Since I already knew the answer I had to read the test to find out what the puzzle was all about. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Robert Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I thought about a red screw driver Boots, fascinating footwear http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/Boots_1956/
J-Nation Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I thought of a purple hammer - so, does anyone know why we're supposed to think like this? Emma
Firefox Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I thought of a yellow saw so I must be one of the 2%
Yamyam Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 "Yellow spanner" for me, so I'm different too! Actually, I'm amazed it wasn't purple. Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
Firefox Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003  Well at least we accord on yellow, but I'm amazed my colour wasn't black.... I think I was flash remembering one of those Bob the Builder type toy sets so that was my excuse!
Alex Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I think that the majority of the people here would be in that 2%. Not that we're all abnormal, we just conform to a different mindset than most people I wish I was a size 10
JCinHeels Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 im normal...for my own mindset. everyone else is a little off but im ok with that. if we all were "normal" the world would be a very boring place the fastest way to this man's heart is with nice legs in high heels

mk4625 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 I tested some people at work and got lots of different answers. Most thought of hammers but there were many different colors. I wonder if the test is intended to scare you into thinking you're a freak? Michael
JCinHeels Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 azraelle, funny you should mention that circular saw, i just bought one the fastest way to this man's heart is with nice legs in high heels
azraelle Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 I've had mine for many years. Just as much power as the industrial units from Milwaukee and others, and 5 lbs less weight. One disadvantage: the motor is on the opposite side than most other sircular saws, sort of "left-handed" and requires some getting used to. mk4625 Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Right now I'm looking for a small milling machine and lathe. The ones made by Prazi (probably in the former East Germany) are at the top of the list. Michael
Julietta Posted July 28, 2003 Author Posted July 28, 2003  looks like all of the 2% subscribe to this forum I tried it at work too and got a few different coloured hammers. But what I did notice was that some of them got their adding up wrong. I can't figure out how it's done though. Has anyone watched Derren Brown? Bet he could enlighten us Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
Heelfan Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 I must have much in common with Robert for I too thought of a red screwdriver. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Dr. Shoe Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 I did the calculations, then thought of a tool then a colour. I then went and read all the replies and forgot what it was I thought of. It was almost certainly a pair of pink lasting pincers. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
HeelDog Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Silver/Chrome crescent wrench, Craftsman, 10". Hmmm, perplexed, happy to have come up w/ a different answer & wondering why, but wondering why red hammer for most. Also wondering why so many hammers came up. I nailed the math though!
