Sandalslover Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 Anybody enjoys the noise made by mules against the feet when the owner of the sandals is walking?
squirrelheels Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 I quite like it, although I much prefer the old "click click" SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
hoverfly Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 I like it very much!! Hello, my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee! 👠1998 to 2022!
Julietta Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 I quite like being the owner of the click click Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
squirrelheels Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 So do I! Makes me feel... different about myself. Not sure if "more important" is the right way of putting it... probably not... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Julietta Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 No I know what you mean. There is a real feel good factor to feeling and hearing that familiar noise as the heel touches and leaves the sandal. God I sound like a fanatic here I think I need serious help lol Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
jim Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 Thats a sound I also enjoy, either from my own mules or someone else's. God I sound like a fanatic here I think I need serious help You better get in line Julietta....theres a lot of us in front of you!
squirrelheels Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I think we're all fanatics... and no, you don't need help... I don't think.... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Polly Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I love the sound of sandall slap from mules, i love it even more when it comes from a pair of slingbacks with the straps left down love polly
Julietta Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 It's nice to have so many fanatics in one place Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
Firefox Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I guess I'm easy about it. I prefer clicking. I saw somebody on the net say that this was why prostitutes were called "slappers" but I think that phrase comes from "slapping" on too much makeup.
squirrelheels Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 That's odd... I thought it was because they were renound for slapping people too often... although maybe that's an entirely different sort of person I'm talking about! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Jay1 Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I find the combination of clicking and flicking sounds both equally alluring! Also, I find that wearing mules with sheer hose very sexy. The slipperiness is a nice feeling! "If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything..." - Dr Emmet L Brown - 1985
Dr. Shoe Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I saw a girl in a pair of high wooden mules last summer. She had the slap slap and the click click. I couldn't breathe!!! Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Laurieheels Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 of course, weearing hose with mules really isn't a good fashion choice according to fancy pant fashion consultants. Especially for open toed shoes. But then, everyone here can do what they like, so a big raspberry to fashion consultants everywhere! Personally, I prefer closed toed slingbacks with stockings. There is enough shoe material, but it provides a better view of black stocking to define the ankles a bit more. And it removes the slapping sound.
Julietta Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Were they anything like these Dr. Shoe? http://www.argosadditions.co.uk/additions/product.asp?brand=additions&cat%5Fid=7058&zone%5Fid=∏%5Fid=177424&seq=1&page=&OrderBy=&sManufacturer=Faith&nShopByBrandCat=8115&offer%5Fid=177424Z&extra=&mscs_sid=S90SGD8KD17A8MR23GLRXQ8WMNN5BVS6 Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
Dr. Shoe Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 No, they were more like this: http://www.argosadditions.co.uk/additions/product.asp?brand=additions&cat%5Fid=0&zone%5Fid=∏%5Fid=177300&offer%5Fid=177300G&link%5Fid=&extra=&mscs_sid=S90SGD8KD17A8MR23GLRXQ8WMNN5BVS6 but with in dark blue with a narrower vamp and a scholl style buckle. She was class. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Firefox Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 It seems like Argos is becoming the definitive place to find style examples!
Yamyam Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Argos have a great range and allow deep linking into their site, which some places don't. The only problem is that you can't try shoes on in Argos, so you won't catch me in there very often. It's a shame as I'm busily collecting Nectar points to spend on heels, and I don't like any of the styles in Debenhams Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
jim Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Why can't you try on the shoes at an Argos store.... are they mail order only Yamyam?
Laurieheels Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Argos isn't exactly my style, but they are nice shoes. Maybe I'll be more interested when sandal slap season reaches Alberta. Give things four months... heehee
bbenjamin Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 While the slapping sound is nice, there is nothing quite like the click of stiletto heels - for me I find that to be the best
azraelle Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Sounds, in general, don't do much for me, with possibly one exception, which has nothing to do with shoes... jo Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 Argos Additions is a separate mail order (and web site) only catalogue, in addition to the normal in-store catalogue.
Laurieheels Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 Sounds, in general, don't do much for me, with possibly one exception, which has nothing to do with shoes... We're all adults here, well, mostly, I think. You cannot rouse curiosity and then stifle the answer...
azraelle Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 the sound of a whip lash??? "All that you can decide, is what to do with the time that is given you."--Gandalf, "Life is not tried, it is merely survived -If you're standing outside the fire."--Garth Brooks
Laurieheels Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Nothing wrong with that if that is what you like, and no one else is being hurt. But how do you handle watching an Indiana Jones movie?
