  1. Thanks Laurie, you can buy these online from the Dutch Silhouette website in the links on my webpage. They have an enormous choice of classy heels but quality has a price. Usually they are around 70 USD, add shipping and import duties and it might become exorbitant from across the big pond. They also have those classic pumps up to 7-inch heels in quality leather. If you can't find it on their site, e-mail them, they have even more in stock and ship worldwide.

  2. Mano, I never noticed that, heeled thigh highs are readely available from different sources. Jamin in US is offering nice leather heeled thigh highs for 68 USD (see links page on my website).

  3. I would wear the same heels I wear now but have them much more visible and with warmer weather probably dress a lot more in knee lenght pencil skirts in a bit brighter colors. Light sundresses with heeled mules must also be fun and comfy. In winter over the knee boots under a leather skirt and short fur coat and hat. I also have most of this in stock for homewear and already occasionally wear a skirt in public. For the rest I'm a lot like Calvin, wearing unisex things from the womens department because their textures are much finer and softer, but still providing a male look.

  4. Last friday I was shoe shopping in Antwerp and while browsing at a window overheard the conversation between a mother and the saleslady pointing at styles while the little boy was seated inside on his socks. While looking at all the available sandal styles the lady pointed out there were hardly any (good looking) styles for boys his age (he looked like 4 or 5) with small feet. At the end they started selecting models from the girls side that were rather unisex and available in dark uniform colors. I carried on while they entered the store again. I still wonder how his first "girl" sandals looked. To make things clear this was a huge shoestore caring only for children and having hundreds of styles for the girls and only those ugly monk type sandals for boys. There is a market out there that could be exploited by the manufacterers and untill then we'll see more boys in "girl" sandals. At that age nobody cares anyway, lots of styles are rather unisex but only marketed for the girls.

  5. Hi Firefox, I always enjoyed mine but your posts give me a better insight of why, thanks, somebody could almost start a thesis on the heel subject by reading all the interesting posts that came up since this board started only a few months ago.

  6. I got mine from the Silhouette store in Rotterdam yesterday, they have a fantastic choice even in larger sizes and you can also order online. More details on my website and the links page.

I needed these to replace the ones ruined during the first Euro heel meet and to get some good marks from the anti-platform movement on this board. Are these to your taste?

  7. That can happen if you put all your efforts fighting terrorism abroad.

By the way, let me assure you I'm not anti-American at all, but sometimes I'm a bit crtitical or cynical.

  8. Hi Laurie, very interesting theory. It's even plausible and might explain our joy and addictive use of heels. I never exercised so maybe my continuous living in heels compensates that. I'll just have to find a doctor to explain that to my wife.

  9. I don't think what Calvin wore needs a separate x-dress topic. I've seen Calvin and although his clothes maybe come from the ladies department, you couldn't tell it. He still looked anything but masculine. IMHO real x-dressing involves wearing clothing to look and pass as a girl, not unisex type clothing that fits and feels better on some guys, but only happens to be sold on the girls racks.

  10. Yesterday I met a new Dutch friend who is pretty much in the fetish stuff. He wears size 40 or 41 but his feet are amazingly flexible. He could walk in 7-inch heels (no plat) very naturally without even bending his knees. He also had some ballets and handled them very well. He sometimes wears these heels for hours at fetish parties but spends the rest of his life on flat safety shoes, and only wore his socks without shoes as usual when we actually weren't trying heels. I even had problems standing on his heels (some were La Piazza special designs) and walking on them was close to impossible. Watch my website for the march diary because I took quite a bit of pictures and even some camera shots. I also borrowed his Heike type foot trainers to experiment a bit during the next months.

  11. I copied this post from a Delphi board, maybe it could interest some of you bigfoots.

Found a great new place for UK heel wearers. It doesn't do mail order or have an online catalogue, but it does sell great, fashionable ladies shoes in sizes UK 9-13 - yes that is UK size!!

It is in Croydon and run by a lady called Kenny who herself has size 12 feet.

I went today, it is in an office building near the Whitgift Centre and East Croydon station on the 2nd floor. She has all the shoes in the office and talks enthusiastically about them all. I rang before I went and she has no problem at all with men trying on the shoes - she just acts like it is perfectly normal behaviour.

The shoes are fantastic quality. She chooses all the styles herself and has them specially made in large sizes. I tried on all different styles - courts, sling backs, mules, sandals - you name it, she has them all in every size.

The only bad news is the price - all the shoes are in the £60-70 bracket, but they are very high quality and you get what you pay for.

The bottom line is, if you want to buy some lovely ladies shoes in a totally discreet and relaxed environment, with plenty of time to try them on then go to http://www.bigfeetdirectory.com at Lansdowne Buildings, 2 Lansdowne Road, Croydon. They're open Monday to Saturday during office hours and Kenny is a delightful lady to meet and deal with.

  12. She answered: Glad to see I'm not the only one here that apreciates high heels. She approached my desk and reached her hand out introducing herself: "Hi, by the way, my name is Laurie, nice to meet you"

  13. With the number of topics rising it will become increasingly difficult to post under the correct thread without duplicating, especially for the new folks. As an early member I saw the subjects grow and although I'm checking daily it gets difficult remembering what topic was posted in which chapter. Were the new boots under the for the guys, gals, everybody, what have you bought lately, got my new shoes? I can imagine a newcomer has even more problems. I think this will become a problem when the board expands (members and topics) giving our administrators lots of work moving threads to their correct place and locking the one started in duplicate.
