  1. @Daz: Two years back I paid, hang on, ..., *computing* ..., roughly £ 25. The upper material is some sort of 'artificial' stretch-leather. They have a full length inside zipper. I put them on and off lots of times already, went shopping in them; the zipper, the shaft and the heels are still in very good condition. It's somehow very good quality.... @hiheellover23: I need to find some fullsize pictures. Once I've found them in my archives I'll post them here. So, check back regularily if you want. CU! -Mike

  2. I just reflected what I found that people notice: Once I went for 'just' platform shoes nobody actually cared but when I started with shoes which had higher heels the folks definitely took a closer look... CU! -Mike

  3. @Daz: ... you were faster than me... These boots are from a regular retailer. Although I'm a EU43 and the boots are 41s they have a great fit. They make some noise but, heck, when worn in a noisy area - who cares. I went to some big shopping centers in them and noone noticed. At least I didn't if someone did... The other pair of trousers almost covered the entire heel. Only half of a cm was still visible. The platform was of course obvious. But I think folks have more issues with heels on guys than platforms... CU! -Mike

  4. Yeh, it IS cool. That's what I thought the other day when that experience came across my mind again. I must admit I haven't done anything similar since where my heels were actually so obvious and easy to spot... :) Fortunately, noone is gonna pull a gun 'round here when I wear heels... CU! -Mike

  5. ... two years ago and did the following:

    Folks,

I almost forgot to tell you that one. - I was wearing a pair of black stretch leather knee high platform boots when I was invited to a friend's birthday party. I wore long flared jeans that covered most of the boots. Initially, I didn't intent but then I dared to come along in those shoes with an Indian friend (who lived together with a lot of other Indian folks next door in the students hostel) I agreed upon to pick him up because he was invited as well. He knew about my thing for shoes and didn't care at all. However, I found that those guys generally just look at what you are and what you do and not at how you look and what you wear. When I told him about my big crush for this stuff some weeks before that time he was like: 'So, what?' (Why can't everybody be just like that?). - Anyway, we arrived at the party (mostly Germans around my age) and entered the room. There was also one girl I've known for some time and I'd already talked to her about my thing for shoes once and what I would like to wear if there wasn't women's or men's shoes. So, she knew but didn't notice my boots at that time, obvioulsy. The boots must have been covered quite well. At least nobody said anything to me. Actually, I regretted it a bit that noone really saw what I wore. On the other hand I didn't have the guts to sit down and fully reveal my boots to everyone. There were too many folks that could have ridiculed me. There was one other girl who wore the highest heels at the party - in case you didn't consider my boots. I thought, 'Hell...', and sat down next to her admitting to let my pants sliding up a bit. Still nobody noticed and she didn't either. We had a quite nice conversation about almost everything and when it was late I gave her a lift to her place. When I left the party the first girl I talked to that evening just briefly touched one leg of my jeans trying to find out what brand it was. I had to pay attention that she didn't lift it too much or my boots would have become quite visible to the crowd. - Some minutes later, riding in my car we both, the girl I gave a lift and me, talked about shoes and she still didn't get what I was wearing or what I was trying to get at. Or did she? No, then she would have said something. Anyway, it's been a pity that there was no reaction but on the other hand I was glad that I didn't force it. I just dropped her nearby her place and we said goodbye. - Next time at the gym I met the first girl from the party again and I explained her why I was really wearing those particular jeans. She didn't believe it what I'd done. Next week I demonstrated it to her as I was wearing my boots again to the gym. Although she's usually very talkative the only thing she said back then was: 'Wow, cool!'. And I was:  -- Okay, this might not have been as amazing to you as my other, more recent stories that I've put up here somewhere in the past but I think it was some cool experience too.

Here's just two brief 'impressions' what it looked like; originally the jeans were black ones and had slightly longer legs:

  6. I agree with Jo:

I buy all sorts of shoes and boots but mainly in the cheaper end of the market; almost always in the sales. ...

But in case if it is a very special style that is available from expensive manufacturers only then I'm willing to spend a considerable higher amount of money on shoes...

  7. It worked better the more / the longer my feet were used to 7" heels. I worked my way up gradually from 5" to 7" and gained more flexibility. Recently, as I stated in another post already, I found that wearing ballet boots/shoes for some time helps getting along with 7" heeled 'regular shaped' pumps. At least after strutting around in my ballets for an hour or two or so it was quite easy to get in and walk around with my 7" (actually 18cm) heels. CU! -Mike

  8. Folks, just my 2 cents although I'm male. Lately I asked myself again what I really feel when I see a woman in high heeled shoes. I don't think sex or so - I feel envious, yes, I do feel that way. I always think: 'Damn, it should actually be me who is supposed to have the highest heels in the room but that girl I just spotted!'. Too bad that there are some limitations that it can't be that way!!! When returning home on a day like that I'll immediately pull out my 7" heels and spent the rest of the day in those... Sorry that I jumped in on that... CU! -Mike

  9. I have no idea about the "shaft's hugging" in larger sizes since I could order in my true size (the boots from the avatar are EU43 (or US ladies !2/13 if you want it like that)). As far as it concerns styles like the 20/54 the only thing I can tell you about this is that I got similar ones from the "discounter around the corner" in a size 41, which fit my 43 pretty good. So, ask them. In case you need a translation of the descriptions on their pages tell me and I try my best (I'm not sure if they have an English version of them up somewhere). I think there are three ways the arrow can point. Unless I'm not very much mistaken it can point upwards, downwards or right, meaning larger than given size (up, order one size down), true to size (right, order your actual size) or smaller (down, order one size up) - don't make me pay if this is not true. Talk to them prior placing an order w/ them. They are very friendly and cooperative. Once I ordered the boots w/ the 19cm platform and 28cm heels (20/50) I had to wait more than a year for them to arrive. It wasn't their fault but they took 25 Euro off of the price in return for my patience (the boots were 699.- Deutsch-Mark or roughly 350 Euro back then). The quality of the products they sell, although not quite inexpensive, is very good. CU! -Mike

  10. Vanity, you said your wedges are up to 7" high and that they have a platform. 7" is quite cool, wow! But by what are they reduced due to fact that your shoes have platform soles? I guess it's still more than 4" or even 4.5" since you can't have lower heels than 4" anymore, right? All day in 4.5"+ -- awesome! I wish this would happen to me as well... Anyway, keep it up! CU! -Mike

  11. Hi Robert!

    Thanks for the compliment!

The boots from the avatar are my boots. They are knee-high and made of soft matt/dull glowing/shining (however you may call this particular look) stretch leather. They have 5" blade-heels and a 'tiny' < 1" platform which gives a good 4" net-heel-height to walk on; very comfortable (once I almost forgot to put them off when my parents returned home one evening). The boots (Item.-No. 20/17) are sold by a German company called 'Extravaganza' (http://www.extravaganza.de/) for 149,00 Euro. Not quite cheap but really worth it. I went out for a stroll in them already and checked the reaction being amongst the Friday-nite-shopping-crowd. Noone cared - at least I didn't get any looks or comments from what I noticed although the heels make some quite audible noise.

  12. Sure you're not alone. I do also wear heels all day long. Even when exercising at the gym (which is a lot of fun) I'm longing for the time after when I can get out of my trainers and back on my heels. There's something about flats that doesn't feel right to me anymore... CU! -Mike

  13. I think High Heeled Sub's boots can be found under the style name "Pandora" as well at some places around the internet. I own a pair myself and must say that these boots are awesome. I got them from 'Howcool'. CU! -Mike
