The main problem with just about *all* of the ballet boots out there is not that the heel is too long (though that is sometimes a factor), but more that the sole is not arched enough.
On most Ballet Boots the sole is a straight line for most of the foot length, and this puts a lot more strain on the ankle as it has to bend at a much bigger angle.
For most people, they can't bend their ankle enough and this throws them forwards. The extra unwanted heel length on some models makes the problem worse.
Shortening the heel does not fully fix the problem.
Have a look at the angle of the foot and the change from toe to heel in this video and compare this with the angle obtained by most Ballet Boot wearers:
(especially at 5:10 or thereabouts). -
Made by Buffalo, and were widely available in the UK about four or five years ago.
Heel is more than 5 inches high.

The media usually make up whatever story they want to print; "never let the facts get in the way of a good story". In many cases they write a story before the event has even happened. There's several well-known cases where a review of the first night of a show has been printed, and the paper was actually going to press while the show was supposed to be on, but the show having been cancelled at the very last minute still appeared in the paper as if it had gone on. For elections, they write a set of stories in advance and covering every outcome, so they can go to press within seconds of a result being declared instead of having to wait a few hours for everything to be written, based on what actually happened. So you get a generic story, not the real story. And, when someone famous dies, and the Red Tops have the story on pages 1 and 2, 5 to 8, 11, 14, 17 to 23, 27, 30, 33 to 35, 41, 43, 45 to 49, and 52 - and a pull out 'special' in the centre pages... you don't think most of that was written last month or even last year? As for La Posh, I like her. I think she's quite funny, and she seems reasonably articulate. The shoes? What time of day was this? Does she wear bigger sizes so that foot expansion later in the day doesn't make them cripplingly tight?

The toes are very short, so the ball of foot may be part-way up the rise.

Boot URL simplifies to: http://www.endless.com/MIA-Womens-Midnight-Stretch-Boot/dp/B001B10OBM/
The rest of it is useless bloat in the URL.

There have been a lot of BB videos posted to YouTube in the last couple of months from a lot of new people. 'Imelda' is certainly proficient for sure.

There are a number of cobblers that can do the job. You might be better off with a small single-owner shop than with a national chain. I think there has been several recommendations posted in the past, either here or at TFS forums.

Originally made by "The Little Shoe Box, London" who no longer trade.

Fantastic! Great eye candy, and great how they recreated 1984 with brands and styles that in some cases no longer exist.

How about a shoe recycling skip spilling its load while being transported?

They were an exhibitor at Erotica London back in mid-November. No idea which staff were running their stand.

Steve Strange (top of previous page), looks like heels from Dune I think. If not, possibly Faith.

The designer says they are made out of rubber/latex, but almost every newspaper changed the headline to say PVC when they wrote up the story. Can't rely on journos to get anything right.

If a whole load of inappropriate pictures have been deleted, then add a caption to the offending post itself, something like 5 images containing nudity have been deleted, then all becomes clear.

Did you get these in-store or mail-order? If in-store, did you try before buying?
-
They are stocked by Poste Mistress situated between Leicester Square and Seven Dials (Covent Garden) and at several other stores at other places in London.
-
Some are stocked by, high-street shoe retailer, Faith in the UK.

Spotted: At King's Cross tube station, Morning of February 23rd (Saturday), one very tall gent wearing 4 inch heel brown knee-high boots over blue jeans. He wondered through station a few times. Hardly anyone noticed as it was very busy and most people were focussed on where they were going.

He said "New Look".
