They exist only as stored numbers inside a computer chip, and as photons emitted from your computer monitor.

Transformation (Euston, London) is the most pushy and arrogant business that I have ever visited. Nope, I didn't part with any money. They must get a lot of shy and dithery customers, but that is no excuse for the staff attitute, which was utterly abysmal.

Leatherworks is a fairly easy walk from Highbury & Islington tube station, but in the opposite direction to The Little Shoe Box, which is very close to that station. You should also check out the fashion shops and agencies in the main road running (I think) West from the station.

While searching for something else (the name of a retailer that I had forgotten the name of) on Google, I came across this list of shoe and boot maufacturers and retailers: http://www.mistresssaskia.com/fsbflinks.html I hope it is useful to someone.

Is that anything like the towel that Xaphod Beeblebrox had in the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy?

The Little Shoe Box, Leatherworks, Hayway, Divine and so on (just mentioning a few UK companies), and many more world-wide, seem to have viable businesses just selling stiletto heels to men. Maybe they ought to try getting some of their stuff into high street outlets.
Hmm, I realise that United Footware have some stuff similar to this; but it is still marketed as ladies, even if some (lots?) of it is bought by the gents for themselves.

I know that my feet are UK size 6.5 or Eur size 39.5. I do find that most things that fit well, do not stray very far from being marked in those sizes.
However, I was once caught out by buying Size 7 marked shoes, in the UK, without first trying them on, and then found that they did not fit at all. It was then realised that they had the US size marked on them, so were only a UK size 5.5 or so. Maybe this is what is happening to you if the size marking seems to be way out?

>> Emma Peel was the best secret agent ever. The Brimstone Club was the best episode ever. <<
Before the days of video recorders, I remember an episode of The Avengers where Joanna Lumley was escaping from the bad guys in 5 inch heel sandals. She had to climb up or over something and they did a real close up shot of her shoes and lower legs. Phhwooaarrrr!

I think Trolldeg can do any size you want!

Nice shoes. I think I know the ones you mean. Hope you find the time to post a piccie sometime. Your hospital visit seems such a long time ago now; hope you are well recovered, and on top form.

Have you been looking at: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?t=1439 and the images posted today of a similar shoe, but with ankle straps, and slightly higher arch ??
Nice work, almost looks real. Very close.

I can't believe how high those are! Amazing. I really want to see anyone try walking in those. Don't think that I would get very far.

Uh oh, more stuff from Argos Additions; best not let Julietta see them.
Actually she probably already has the white shoes in every colour they do; and I do recall that someone posted to say they had recently bought the fawn boots as they are by Raid.
The black ones look very high. Might just be a small size and the particular camera angle though.

Congrats. And at two posts per day it probably seemed forever.

Thanks for the information. I also meant to ask where the City Girl brand boots came from, as I haven't seen that one anywhere; and the all-important question as to what size they are (state UK, US, or Eur).

I have seen the stiletto desert boots on the streets once, just a few days ago. These were very pointed with a heel well over 4 inches high, probably nearer to 5 inches, laced up, and with a small but chunky padded black shiny collar round the top of the boot shaft. Very nice, and the girl wearing them walked easily despite their heel height. Those were a lot higher then a pair I saw in a shop a few days ago. I nearly stopped her, and asked where she got them, but as she was only about 16, and her friend was slightly younger, I didn't.

I like both of those, but slightly prefer the 9 west version.
I looked in a couple of 9 west stores in London (One in Covent Garden and can't remember the other) at the end of January but didn't see anything that I liked then. When did you get those?

>> Jo did you buy the boots? <<
No, I didn't get them, they were a not-for-sale sample. They do a made to measure service on those styles; that is they make them to the shape of your foot and your leg, and they cost GBP 265 these days. I can't afford that at the moment, and can't really justify it either (sorry to say).

Wow, those are high! Very nice. Not practical for a stroll about town, until you have put in a lot of practice first. Superb!

Those Jackass guys are maaaad! Haven't seen The Osbournes yet.

If someone is waaaaay taller, shorter, wider, thinner, than the average then this is usually classed as a medical condition, as it can have a very detrimental effect on the health of that person. Very tall people can have heart problems for example.

What is the current price of the Beckham shoes? Probably more than they would cost new.
Once bid fever sets in; all sanity goes out of the window.

Those boots fit well probably because TLSB do a made-to-measure service. They are expensive, but the product you get is usually well-made, with high-quality materials.
I tried their 5.5 inch thigh boots in a Size 7. Very nice!
Why are women's shoes more comfortable???

No, I think they really are more comfortable. They have a different shape, and are made of different (usually softer) materials, are often more lightweight, and have a different thickness of sole. They cover the foot in different places, and the fastenings are in a different place.
