You be careful with your untied footware!
A year or two back, United Footware had loads of platform, and wedge heel, trainers. I remember a black pair with a nearly 6 inch heel that I was going to get; but when I went back they had sold out.
-
They are now doing some styles up to Eur size 48 I see. Not needed for me at Eur size 39.5 though.

Shoe Zone generally do very cheap shoes. They aren't designed to last long, and there isn't a huge range; many are plastic rather than leather.
Shoefayre is often a bit better. Glad you found something that you liked though!
The local United Footware outlet is amazing. It always has a very wide variety of stuff, from things that your granny would comfortably wear, through to 7 inch heel (2 inch platform) lace up thigh boots that the girls from the local Spearmint Rhino buy in huge numbers. Well worth a visit.

Those look really nice, and quite a high heel as well. That threaded back lace is a great way to close them. However, I can also see a side zip. What a shame; that spoils it a bit.

I am slightly confused that Image 41 is /ped042.html and so on.
Can you equalise the numbers?

>> La Tienda <<
I think I may have seen their web site some time back. Take a look via Google.

The shoe width vs your foot width is also an important factor. If the shoe is wider you will be able to fit a smaller size. If it is narrow or pointed, you'll generally need a bigger size.

Last month I bought a pair of shoes exactly the same as those shown in http://www.streetheels.co.uk/images/imagepages/ped037.html at Shoe Zone (formerly Olivers) for GBP 7.99 in UK size 6 with a 4.5 inch heel. They have a great pointy toe, and are very comfortable, could wear them all day.

Nice one! Many thanks for the update.

Welcome back to the forum! As for helping out, well, anytime. You know how to find me.
-
There is quite a good chance that it will also appear on their UK and other European versions of their web site.

I have heard adverts for them on the local radio when in that area while on holiday a couple of years ago. Sadly only passing through and didn't have time to stop over and visit.
No sign of them having a website (at least can't find one via Google). http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=platform1+taunton&btnG=Google+Search

I have seen similar stuff in many UK shops over the last year or so. Try Shoefayre though theirs were a little higher, Stead & Simpson, TK Maxx, and many others. United Footware probably have, but I can't remember.

Those platforms are a bit on the ugly side. Nice and high, but the sole is an odd shape at the back, under the ball of the foot, steep arch, but odd.
As for the Emma Bunton images. Well, oh my! She has grown a lot in the last few years. Where has she been hiding those legs before this?
-
Wow, those look very high! I like them a lot. What size are they, and how high is the heel? What brand name is marked inside, or where did you get them? If I were to get something like those, I would probably get them with some sort of ankle strap for at least a little bit of stability; and probably in black, but that red is very nice.

Try fictionmania.com as well.

Several years ago, in a sale, I tried on a pair of Charles Jourdan sandals with a 4 inch stiletto heel, a very thin leather strap up the back of the foot, and the ankle held with a very fine ankle chain attached to the strap (like the current ankle cuff designs, but the cuff just being a very fine chain). Very nice, but too expensive at the time. Ho Hum.

Spotted getting off a train today, after commuting from work, a lady around 40, short and slim, wearing smart business dress, and black nylons, and very ususual shoes.
They were black court style, with a very long pointed toe, nearly 5 inch quite slim heels, but the difference was that the whole top of the foot was covered in very fine criss-cross lacing, and (I think) one or two turns around the ankle. I have seen a similar style to this before, but this was so much more well done.
She caught me looking, but didn't say anything!

Umm; this is a board about high heels?
-
Very Nice. Not too high. I'll bet these are comfortable for hours and hours. Unusual underside; never seen that before. I wonder how hard wearing the pattern is. Seems a shame to ever wear them outside.
-
You'll have to wear something raised, even if only a little bit. You can't turn up 4 inches shorter than when you last met her now can you??

>> Women in heels with, um, big guns. <<
Most men like: Women in heels with, um, big 'uns.

>> My wife does not like anything other than paper thin heels, even for herself <<
Is that paper thin comment meaning the heel height or the width?

A large amount of UK schoolgirls aged about 13 to 16 already wear 4 or 5 inch block heel loafers, or ankle boots, with roughly a 1 inch platform, every day to school. You don't see any wearing stiletto heels, but a few years ago, a few did so.
Shopping spree :)

Wow. I never think about people who have to travel to go shopping. There are at least 10 shoe shops within a mile of here, and about 40, maybe more, within 5 or 6 miles of here. Too much choice!
