1. Ok everyone male and female I need help! Don't in a way that I am screwed up but in advise type way. So with that being said here I go. My last visit to my theripst she challanged me to wear a skirt in next time I come to see her. I showed her a few diffrent picture's of me. A few in a skirt and a few in pants! She even said that by looking at the pictures that I look more confident in pants and heels than a skirt and heels. She said that I do a really good job of being able to take womens pants or slacks and pair them with a mens shirt and still look confident. Then she said the other does not appear true with a skirt, mens shirt, and heels. What she has challanged me to do is too put a skirt with a mens shirt and heels and wear it in for are next session. She said to be able to truly tell if I carry myself diffrent would be to see me in a skirt. So I told her I would see what I can do. The app is next week. So over the next few days I will post a few pics of all of my diff skirts heels and shirts jacket's belts you name it oh and heels. So everyone here can help me figure out what to wear. The outfit must consist of a skirt, heels and a mens shirt she said. Anything else is optional! Here are to pics of an outfit that I just kind of tossed together. It is my dark blue Izod jean skirt, light tan tight's (Not panty hose), white mens turtle next untucked, my black just bellow the knee boots, and I have some dark brown knee high boot socks on under the boot's. Let me know what everyone thinks. The rest of the pic I will put up tomarrow!

  2. Do I tell my kids about heeling or not?

Well the MR's know and is ok with.

But the kids are another thing.

    I have 2 kids, both guys, 1 is 18 other is 15.

While the 18 year old probably would shrug his shoulder and carry on

the 15 year old is a different matter.

He doesn't like things out off the ordinary.

Mrs doesn't think we should tell them and since she is my allie in

this I don't think I should go agains her wishes in this one.

Have you guys told you're kids?

    Did they understand?

This is just my personal experance with my kids. Both of them are girls one is 15 the other is 11. At first a few years ago I had told them starting with my oldest about wearing skirts. At first there where a few questions, but as time wore on wearing skirt became a moot point. As a matter of fact they have asked me why I don't wear one more often. Then when I added heels into the mix they really didn't care. Both of my girls support me 100% in the way I choice to dress. My wife on the other hand does not. So with that being said with boys it would proably be a little harder to tell them cause of the way society has said a man or a boy should not dress like this. There is a book out that may help you with this matter as it pretains to a little boy who likes to wear dress. It's called "My Princess Boy" It is a book write by a mother about a little boy who like to wear dress. Now I know this is about a little boy and wearing a dress, but it can also translate to you and wearing heel's since the main theme of the book is acceptance! If you get a chance check it out and maybe have your youngest son take a look at it. Just my 2 cents.

  3. Hi peeps

I live with flat mates so the only time I get to wear heels is if my flat mates are out or in bed

What would be the best way to start wearing my heels out?

This is just my 2 cents. The first thing you do not want to do is hide anything! By hiding the fact that you wear heels makes people think that you are ashamed of the fact that you wear heels or that you are embarised by the fact that you wear heels. I would find some heels that don't look overly fem. Ie peep toes, strapy shoes, or really high heels. You can find a lot of heels out there that don't look overly girly and be able to pair them with just about anything. I would suggest starting there. After that then its where it get tough, you need to then set down with your flat mates and let them know. Be prepaired to be asked about your sexuality cause trust me they are going to ask. Then tell them the truth don't lie that is the worst thing you can do, just like hiding the fact that you wear heels is just like lieing. It's really hard to give a good true answer not knowing how your flat mates are, but going through what I have over the years the worst thing you can do is not tell the truth! Just my 2 cents.

  4. This sounds like a really stupid question, but what do people wear on their feet with boots? Up to now, I've just worn my boots inside my house, and I didn't put anything on, just bare feet.

However, I'm getting the urge to do some public heeling, where I'll be doing much more walking, and spending much more time in them, then I ever have before. Both in terms of sweat control, as well as perhaps a little comfort, I'd think some article of clothing would be desired.

I took a look in Sears when I was there recently, and they had some New Balance no-show socks, shown in the attached picture. While there were thicker, padded versions, they had a version which were extremely thin and light, which I think could work well in a boot.

Of course, this is a practical solution, but typically nothing about heels is practical, so maybe I'm way off. What does a proper, boot-wearing person wear?

I know it may a bit to late for this but I figure I would offer my 2cents as to what I wear under my boots. For me it depends, if I am wearing with a skirt then it will be hose. If I am wearing with pants then I wear womens boot socks that come to the knee espcially in the cold. It goes along way to help keep your legs warm and the boot's fit better since those socks are really made for those type of boots ie a little thicker than normal boots.

  5. scrappycoco,

I have never sent anything addressed to you before but today is that first time. You have had the courage to express yourself exactly as you have wanted which is what this republic was founded on. You have posted many photos of your rather tasteful outfits here with your face visible. You have spoke your mind and contributed greatly to the forum. All these things you have done and you worry about the trailer trash that lies in wait, TMZ-type employee wannabes, that try to tear you down on facebook??? I'm 50 years old and never been on facebook and have no desire at all to ever be. I don't Twitter and I have never used the cell phone to access the Internet not the least of which I can't stand looking at a 2"X3" inch screen and trying to discern information from it. Bubba136 and Dawn are 1 0 0 % correct when they say posting the facebook dialogue is a waste of the space here. It absolutely is and always will be since we don't know who the initials stand for and the events that led up to this exchange. Send this crap to the delete dumpster where it and the type of person that tears you down belongs. Spend your time here where you'll continue to be appreciated. You'll get past this believe me.

    HappyinHeels:wavey:

Well at the time this was posted I was just kind of getting use to who I am as a person and trying to understand why I like what I do. I was really upset about it mainly for the fact that I did not know what my employer would say. For me learning to be who I am off the clock has been really hard. When you work in the public safety field like I do (Emergancy Medical Tech/Fire Fighter) You know that you have certain expectation's that people expect of you and a certain image to uphold. With something like a guy wearing heels and skirts being seen as it is by the public it hard to find that happy middle for someone in my line of work. I strugle with it everyday that is one of the reason that I put some of the pictures up here and ask for people's oppinions cause I want to see what the general public thinks. That is why if you have not noticed I have kind of gotten away from skirts and started leaning more toward womens pants? I am trying to present that image of look I'm still a man I just have chosen to wear different clothing than that other guy. With my main job being EMS in the rare instance that something was to happen to someone while I was off duty, by law I don't have to help, but since your genral public does not have nor posses the knowlage that I do I kind of feel obligated to help. I worry all the time while I'm out in heels that something like this will happen and I will help and someone wont want my help when they need it becuase of the way I am dressed.

If you fly with the crows then you will be shot with them.

What ever else could you expect after posting pictures of yourself on the Internet?

Well like I have said before I am not so much worried about someone seeing me or I would hide my face. My biggest issue I have is kind of the same issue you have as a female when wearing heels and what not. Do I look ok? Why are people staring at me? Does this outfit look ok on me.? I hope by explaining a little bit more about who I am as a person and what I do for a living maybe that will help you to understand why I felt the way I did when this all happened. Trust me I could of cared less that he found the picture. If I was worried about that I would not have put it out on the net for everyone too see! It was the fact that he sent the pictures to my supervisors that ticked me off. To other coworkers is one thing but all the way up the food chain that's just wrong!:)

  6. I know it has been awhile since I have talked about this, but I figured that I would give an update as to what has went on. Well what the guy tried to do totally back fired in his face. I have not had anyone say anything negitiave to me about it at all. As a matter of fact I had to go back to my st today to get my wallet that I left behind. I went in wearing a light purple shirt, my light blue womens jeans and my black high heeled boots. Not know what would be said by the crew that replaced me this morning I decided not to wear the boots in so I wore my sneakers in. When I got in there the new lady that started working opposite me was there. I went in to my locker and got what I needed. Well some how we got to talking and I asked her if she had heard anything about? She said that someone had mentioned it to her about it. Then she said the first thing she asked was if I was gay. To witch the person told her no that I was married with 2 kids. So as we where talking she said she thought it was cool that I was able to be me and not let someone try to shape who I am. Then she made me laugh when she said plus I don't blame you there are just way to many nice shoes out there for someone not to want to wear heels. After that before we could talk more about it they had to leave for a call. So I will be curious to see if she says anything else about it.

  7. Ok so here is my most recent outing. I had to go see my new PCP for my choice of clothing I wore my light purple shirt, with my light blue women's jeans and my 3" heeled boots. I would have loved to wear something else but since we got a bunch of snow last night I figured boot's where the way to go. Went in and nothing was said at all about the way I was dressed until they need to check my height and the nurse seen I had heels and and insted of asking me to take them off she just said " How tall are you with out shoes on?" I kind of got a chuckle out of it, but nothing else was said. Went in to see the new Dr. who is a women just a few years older than me. The only concern she had for me was why my blood pressure was a little high. She asked if I was a little nervious? I said ya a little. To witch she said don't be you have no reason to be. So there wasn't much of an outting. Now tomarrow I start my new school and am trying to decied weather to wear heels to class or not. I may weight till I see what the class is like.

  8. Hey scrappy - -

I have a feeling I know where you were shopping at when you got the nasty look. I picked up a pair of boots before Christmas at JC Penneys, and walked through the mall with them. Needless to say, I didn't get too many glares since the mall now has carpet in the main section, so no noise.

You can tell your in a redneck territory when there are more women in Timberland camo boots than anything with a heel.

Yes you are exactly right as to wear I was. The only time the MJ's that I was wearing made nose was on the small section's where the floor is still tile. I did not really care that he sat outside the store and seen me trying on the new one's walk to the counter by them and talk with the sales lady about my choice of style.

  9. Ok so here are some of the thought's behind some of the outfit's. The one out fit with the men's jeans and shinny pumps I will admit does not look right. The jeans don't go right. Now the other picture of me in the dark colored women's jeans and purple shirt with the shinny pumps on was something that both of my girl's put together for me and they both thought I looked great. My oldest who is 15 said that in her oppinion every thing went together great. Now the one of me in the black skirt and shinny pumps again was something that my girls helped me put together. I will admit it looks alot better with the jacket on and the shirt buttoned all the way up. My girls are even the ones that said I should wear some sort of colored hose with that skirt instead of my normal nude or suntan. I have had a few of the women that I know that has said that they think I look really good in the shinny pumps. although they have never seen me wear them with a skirt. I have also read where a few people have said that I seem more confident wearing jeans or pants than a skirt. Not to sound mean but I guess I would since that is all I have ever worn all my life. I am trying to find some way to add skirt's into my wordrobe of mens clothing with out trying to pass my self off as a women, since that is not my intent. My intent and though is to do just like women do and take something from there side of the isle and put it with something from my side and make it work looking like a man and not a women.

  10. My own opinion is if you are going to wear a skirt, wear a nicer top to go with it.......and a football jersey doesn't belong in the same room as stilettos. Other than that - not too shabby!

Ya I would never wear the stilettos with something like that. The shoes in question with the football jersey are my rampage t-straps. The are more of a not so formal heel. If you look at the one picture of me in my black skirt I am wearing a men's dress shirt! I do have a black jacket to go with that skirt just didn't have it on.

  11. You look great in trousers but not in a skirt.

[Personal opinion]Personally I think if you're going to wear a skirt you will be better off either "going all the way" or doing away with the heels. I always think that a guy who's femme from the waist down looks a bit absurd like something out of monty Python.[/personal opinion]

Most of the time when I wear a skirt I don't wear heel's since most of my skirts are just a regular jean skirts! I do have a biz suit skirt and the dark denem skirt that I feel you should wear heels with. I have had mixed feeling's about wearing skirts and heels. I am just trying to find the right look and combo. One thing I will never do is try to pass my self off as a women. That is not what I am trying to do. I am trying to find a way to be able to combine the best of both worlds!

  12. "You look great in trousers but not in a skirt."(Dr.Shoe)

I have to agree with Dr. Shoe. You look better in pants and high heels than in a skirt. You look more comfortable, natural, and stylish in pants and high heels. But, and I try to be totally open-minded about everything. But it just doesn't see right wearing an NFL football jersey and high heels. That's just me.

I guess my thought behind that outfit was this. I have seen a few women out and about in jeans just about the same color wearing a football jearsy. Most of the time they are wearing boots witch I don't think looks bad at all. I will say those heels in that picture I did not wear out with that out fit I ended up wearing a pair of my MJ's with that. Maybe should have worn boots. Who know's!

  13. Ok so I figured I would post about the trip I had today. My outfit for today consisted of a light pair of colored women's jeans I bought yesterday, black turtle neck, a jacksonville jaguars jursy, suntan hose, and my t-strap rampage heels. First stop of the trip was to the main post office. I get rather nervous going in there wearing heels cause when I walk in everyone can hear me cause of the tile floor then to make matters worse the way the place is designed it echo's. Didn't really get no look's while in there. I did have a few people look at me when I was coming and going. The never really looked at my pants they just looked at my shoes. My next stop I figured I would look around to see if I could find a true pair of t-strap heel's at my local shoe carneval. I walked in and two women where working. I walked right in and went to the women's section. One of the women asked if there was anything they could help me with. I told them I was looking for some t-strap heels. At first she didn't hear me. So she came over too me and asked what I was looking for I told her what I was looking for. At first she kind of had a dumb founded look on her face. Then I looked at her and said " I bet you have never met a guy like me? " She said nope " I said I bet you have never had a guy come in and ask for a pair of t-strap heels?" She said " To be honest we don't get many women coming in looking for that type of shoe" She then went on to say that if they get something like that in there it will most likely be in the spring time. She said here is a pair of t-strap sandles that would look good on you. I told her that wasn't really my style. So we talked for just a brief few min about my style. The last thing she said was that the style of shoes I like work great for men and women, and that I looked very put together. Next stop was my local mall to the shoe dept too see if I might get lucky in there. Walking in wasn't much of an issue. I did run into an older man that was mall walking that gave me a strange look. I walked into the shoe dept and the girl that had sold me a pair of women's running shoes was there. She asked how I was doing and if there was anything I was looking for. I told her she said she wished she had some but they didn't. So I stood there looking around until I found a pair of MJ's on sale for $15. I was looking for a pair of shoe's that would go a little better with the light colored women's jeans I bought. I thought these would look great. So I got lucky they had a pair in my size I tried them on while she had helped someone else at the register. While I was trying them on she came back to the area where I was trying them on to finish what she was doing. She looked at me and said those shoes look great with those jeans. So after trying on 2 more of the same style in diff sizes I bought the first one's I tried. While I was at the register as she was ringing me we where talking and I said to her " I bet you have never ran into a man that wear's heels?" She said nope. She then asked me about why I wear heels and I told her. She looked at me and told me "Well you wear them well!" and your sense of style is just great. Now the best part of the day was the 2 older guys sitting out side the store. When I walked out the one guy, who I really hate to put a tag on, was a "redneck type guy" gave me the nastyiest look as I walked out and walked by him. He didn't say anything though. I left the mall and went home. I tried my shoe's on and they fit and feel great. When I get a chance I will take a picture of them. Here is the outfit I wore out and about.

  14. I figured I would post a few picture's of some of the recent outfit's I have worn and let people Men and Women tell me what they think. So here we go!:)

First outfit some may have seen before but here it is again. It is my dark blue Izod skirt, with nude leggs hose, my black pumps, a white turtle neck and a black mens suit jacket. The though behind this was sort of a dressy casual look combing stuff from both side's of the isle.

The second outfit is me wearing my new women's faded glory jeans, with a light purple shirt, a black tank top underneath the shirt, suntan leggs hose and my black pumps. I wore something similar to this out and about only with 3" heeled boots and a gray shirt in the same style.

My third outfit is just you basic men's kaki pant's, a black shirt, suntan hose and my 2.75" MJ's. I got the idea for this out fit that I seen a women wearing and thought ok I have the pant's the skirt and shoes let me so how it looks for me. I have worn this a few time's and never had anything bad said or had gotten any strange looks.

My fourth outfit is my light purple mens dress shirt, black womens dress pants, suntan hose and my pumps. I have worn this a few diff places mostly to see my new counslar. I am really starting to like her a lot. She is getting more and more comfortable by the visit as far as being able to be me. She has even gotten me to explore color option's in my clothing. Something I have never done before.

Last but not least is an outfit that I think looks good I just have not been brave enough to wear it out and about yet! It consist of a black just below the knee suit skirt, my light purple mens dress shirt, off black hose and yes my pump's. I want to wear this to an office visit with my counslar soon. It has just been way too cold to do that right now.

Well those are 5 of my most recent thought's let me know what everyone thinks!

  15. Well I figured I would give a little update on my most recent outing. Me, the wife (yes I said the wife), & my youngest daughter went out to eat on new years eve. I was not really sure as to what I would wear out and about. I figured I wanted to look dressy but not too dressy. So my choice for the trip was my new faded glory womens boot cut jeans, a gray long sleved dress shirt, and my new boot's that I bought. Now I had been wearing my fioni pumps for most of the day since that is what my youngest girl said looked the best with the jeans. Not knowing where we where going to go I figured it best not to wear the pumps so I choce my boots. At first my wife started to say something smart and then my youngest looked at me and said " Dad you look great!" So off we went. Are first stop was chillies to eat. Now being new years eve there was a bit of a wait but not much. We waited for about 15 min. While there where other people sitting in there no one as much said a word or glanced. We sat down to eat and there was a couple sitting next to us. They both gave a quick glance and I heard the women tell the guy she liked my look. After that we went to target and looked around for a bit before going home. While in target there was not much of any looks. So over all it was a good outing that had for the most part all of my family involved. Here is a picture of an outfit that is sim. to what I wore that day minus the boot's and the gray shirt. This is how I started the day off wearing my pump's. Enjoy and feel free to leave opinion's.

  16. This is what I wore today, I had a bunch of running around I needed to do. Im trying to incorporate a little femininity into my daily wardrobe, just a little. I swear those are heels! They are 3 inch mary janes from Target. Super comfy!!!

I just wanted to say first off welcome to the forum. The outfit that you have on there looks great! That is the type of look I am trying to go for being able to pull something from both sides of the isle and put it together and still look like a man! Way to go!

  17. Ok so I figured I would give a little update about my last outing. On my last outing I had to make a trip to my local walmart once again to take back some jeans that my wife had bought me for xmas that was 1 to big in the waist and 2 to short in the leg. My out fit consisted of a pair of mens jeans, my high heeled boots, and a mens dress shirt. My goal for this outing was to find a pair of mens jeans and womens jeans that fit me. So need less to say I found both I got one pair of mens jeans and one pair of womens. I really like the womens jeans they are very comfortable and I think look really good. So with that being said I think I am going to start getting a few more pairs of women's jeans that do not look to girly. When I get a chance I will take a few pictures of me out and about so everyone can see what they think!
