  1. You know the old argument many women has that heels just don't look good on men, and that men shouldn't wear skirts or any other female garment for that matter?

We'll I have a theory about the whole issue they have with men invading fashion previously known to be a women's only domain.

    It goes like this:

When women started to invade politics and the male dominated work arena and decided that they could also have a career. Men where heavily opposed to the idea. Or at least most of the men where opposed to the idea. Men felt afraid about this new threat that is busy invading their domain and they reacted negatively to the changes women where looking for. Men felt they would now be seen as lesser men. Women persisted and men just had to fall in or fall out.

Now the seasons are changing and women are facing the opposite of the coin. Men are starting to invade what women thought is their domain. Men are invading their fashion, women as men before them are afraid of this new threat and also feel that if men are starting to wear things women proclaimed their own, they will now be seen as lesser women. I predict that men will persist and the traditional idea that heels and skirts for women only will leave women resisting change with the decision to either fall in or fall out......

Let's hope their vanity will survive, (No pun intended)

    Hi Tljakes,

I have another theory: we guys tend to be our own enemies. When wearing high heels on the street I earned always the worst comments from macho guys. And women in their job are earning often the worst attacks from macho guys. I would never trust in male solidarity if high heels, navel piercings, crossdressing or homosexuality is on topic ...

The girls are simply doing what we guys all could do in the same way. But mostly we don't dare to do it because of the fear of our own male breed. For example conservative managers at our working place, aggressive young males - hanging around on the street and last but not least: the barrier in our own brain ;)

Teenie girls are sometimes silly giggling behind me but from adult women I have never heard a bad comment. Thighbootguy is reporting in his thread similar experiences.

    nice greetings

micha (*please no gender war again*)

PS: Are the girls guilty that no one guy dares a tribal hip tattoo over the ass ??? Tattooing was in the western world traditionally a male thing.

  2. I have still a lot of interesting ideas. 1. Double registering at "Hot or not" as male and female member with the same identity and showing the same high heels pictures without face. 2. Or showing stilettos and block heels under the same identity. One time as girl and one time as guy. 3. Or showing high heeled boots as a guy with a bald head and a typical male leather outfit or with long hairs (rsp. a wig) and a typical girls outfit. ... I'm sure to have at least 999 further funny ideas. But my belief in polls is shrinking. Last night I heard in a comedy show in TV that 30% of the german population are knowing the politician Kurt Beck but 39% were convinced in the same inquiry that the new chairman of the social democratic party is doing a good job. But thats Kurt Beck :o;)

  3. Hi

As some of you might have noticed I've mentioned my girlfriend a couple of times in the last few weeks. We made the move from casually dating to being a couple three weeks ago, and while it's early days yet, things are going great.

We met online, and I'd decided to tell her about my heels within the first couple of times we met IRL. As it turned out, I told her on day one. She'd mentioned shoes a few times in fairly general terms, and I said that I really liked New Rock boots. Anyway, I was feeling really comfortable with her, reminded her of when I'd said that I liked New Rocks, and told her I had "the high and spiky" ones too. Her response was "Ok?" I told her that I don't cross dress, and that wearing heels isn't a fetish, I just really like them and didn't see why I shouldn't wear them. She said that was fine, and was suprised that I'd been worried about telling her.

As she lives quite a way from me, this was the first weekend that she'd been to my house, and although I'd mentioned my heels a couple of times since she hadn't actually seen me in them. I have five pairs of Malicias, and they're all in the original boxes stacked in the corner of my bedroom. I brought her a cup of tea in bed, and as there's no bedside table on her side, put it on top of the boxes. I mentioned the boxes, and she asked when I was going to show them to her. I did, and she really liked them! She was quite enthusiastic about how nice she thought the boots were, even saying that she wanted a pair herself, so I mentioned that I had a few pairs of ordinary stiletto boots too. She said that she didn't care, and wasn't bothered in the least.

As we were getting ready to go out, she said that she'd really like to see me in a pair of my boots, and I offered to put some on for her when we got home. I didn't think anything else of it really, but when we got back it was late evening so we decided to put on pyjamas and watch a DVD. As we were getting changed she reminded me that she wanted to see my in my heels, and said that she wanted to see a pair of my stiletto boots. I brought in a pair and was quite nervous about wearing them in front of her, but she encouraged me to put them on and when I did she said she really liked them on me! So much so, that she wanted me to keep them on for the rest of the evening. We spent last night cuddled up on the sofa with me wearing my black suede knee high stiletto boots with shorts. She couldn't understand why my ex had such a problem with me wearing heels, and said she was looking forward to going out in Manchester with me wearing my Malicias. (I'd already explained that my stilettos were for indoor wear)

She even insisted that I kept the suede boots on when we went to bed! :o

So basically I could not have wished for a better response. I'm going to tread carefully so as not to overwhelm her by wanting to wear them all the time, but knowing that I can continue going out in my Malicias and wearing stilettos at home when I feel like it is the most amazing feeling.

Sorry for the long post, but this is a huge thing for me and I wanted to share it.

    Chris

Hi Chris, the longest posts are always the best ;) What a luck for you to have found a girl sharing or at least accepting your passion!

  4. Hi Tosca, today it was a beautiful day in southern Germany. Still a little bit cold but the whole day a wonderful blue sky. Just the right weather for wearing my new Miss Sixty drain pipe jeans under knee high boots. 4 inch wedges from Essence. Naturally at daylight during doing my purchases ;) What a pity that nobody has seen the narrow zippers at the calves :o I'm planning to wear these sexy jeans with high heeled sandalettes in the main shopping mall of Frankfurt. In may - as my own birthday present! ps: I'm happy that I can still afford such outfits. Nobody is forever young.

  5. ... However, no shoe will ever beat me and I will walk in those things, even if it is crippling!....

    Hi drumitt,

two years ago I have won an auction in german Ebay on the same style. It were sandalettes from "The Highest Heels" in US size 13 with 19-cm-heels. Standing in them was still possible but after walking 5 steps I abandonned my kamikaze action ;)

Impossible for me to keep my knees straight and a hurting pressure on my footballs. After this adventure they disappeared forever in the deepest corner of my shoe closet. If anyone should be interested: I'll give them away for free! You have only to pay the freight from Germany and to post here a picture when you are walking on these killer heels :o:smile:

  6. I have expected answers like these (*g*) Be honest: who of you has ever worn high heels with thin metallic stilettos during doing the daily purchases? I have done it. But in my opinion it's the worst style to gain acceptance for male heels wearing from normal people. My cowgirl boots with 4'' stacked heels are loud enough for the stony floor in my supermarket ;) micha (*the metal heel tips are reserved for home wearing and club nights*)

  7. I have voted FOR the clank. But I have a problem with your description of the noise: my alldays block heels are sounding like a normal girls claque-claque because the big majority of the girls are wearing the same shy style on the street like me. When there is one of the rare opportunities to wear stiletto high heels with metallic tips in public I'm loving this fascinating "click clack" of my shoes :o - but not "clank" ;) micha (*a click clack fetish lover*) btw: I have never heard any noise from my wedges boots or sandals. There must be something wrong with them ...

  8. Hallo heel friends,

I am trying to get a stay at winsor hotel during 9-11 march and enjoy the fun of all others in the fetish place THS. Or another hotel where same others are staying incase this is full. A plane I hope will not a problem but found out when I have a bed during this weekend.

And some nice high heels and fetish dressing sould be no problem, when in the right place and compagny like you all.

I let you know in a few days time

    A3

    have fun in your heels

    Hi A3, Airwolf and Tara,

I'm still searching for an accomodation in London. Who of you are interested in common hotel rooms? Should be funny!

    nice greetings, micha

  9. I live in Gary, Indiana (*gasps* Gary?! How dangerous!?), and I've definately never seen a male wearing heels. Is it the place that's the problem? If so, where should I move to then?

Did you ever wear heels yourself on the street of your hometown Gary? Curiously I looked into my atlas and saw that Gary is a big town in the immediate vicinity of Chicago. Is even a metropolpolis like Chicago not enough for you?

Here my counterpart to your cry for help:

I'm living in a small german village called Frankfurt. Nobody would know this village if we hadn't a 30 square miles airfield. If no rural public festivals like the Love Parade, the catholic St. Christopers Street Day or our traditional Carnival is taking place I'm mostly alone with my 1'' raised heels in our tiny shopping mall. Im desperate! Where should I move to? Into a onehundred souls village in the Bavarian Forest or to Heidi's alp in Switzerland? And how could I be shure that the mountain goats aren't laughing about me when I'm stumbling late in the night with my stilettos into their watering tank? No, the best choice is definetely a given up gold diggers camp in Alaska. Hoping that the ice bears are free from prejudices against guys on heels! Who of you has experiences with the tolerance of ice bears?

    micha (*lol*)

  10. micha!!!

That is awesome news. I'm sure the others will be equally happy you are coming.

I'll be looking for your private message. Hopefully that will include your intended dates of arrival and departure.

    Thanks!

He he, you are quicker than a flash of lightning!

I'm planning like you 4 days. I have just controlled "The Miller" and the "Winrose". Still not outbooked. But my detailed questions tomorrow ...

    nice greetings, micha

  11. Hi Kneehighs, I have just made up my decision. I'll come to London in march again. It would be really a shame if a participant of the 1. International Heel Meeting would be absent at the second meeting! I'll write you tomorrow a PM because of the accomodation. My preference is a common appartment with other guys. That's not so expensive as a lonesome single hotel room and guaranteed much funnier  micha

  12. An update per two comments on Mail on Sunday website today:

Nice to know I'm ahead of the fashion! I've been wearing shoes with two-inch cuban heels for years - I like wearing them, I also find them much more comfortable than flat shoes, and they don't make any difference to the way I walk. I don't wear them for extra height, I just like 'em! Let's see three and even four inches - why should the women have all the fun?

    - Mike, Brighton, England

Cuban heels are cool. But why stop at 2.5 inches? If you're going to take off, then do it right and offer male heels in all heights. As you said, "There’s a long tradition of men wearing high heels," so bring it on back. While you're talking celebrities, add Nicholas Cage. I seen a picture of him in cuban heels.

If you want it to catch on, you might want to lose the term "dandy" and replace it with something cool, like, cool.

    It's all good.

    - Inscapable, Ramstein, Germany

I wonder if these correspondents are members here - they seem our type!

    Hi Puffer,

last night I wrote also an answer to "Mail on Sunday". But it didn't appear until now. I said that I'm not interested in 1.5'' cuban heels anymore. That I'm preferring higher female fashion styles.

    Too much for this newspaper?!

    micha (*grinning*)

PS: They prolonged a certification. Alternative(?) I had to enter a code for submitting my answer. I entered the displayed code definetly correctly.

  13. After 10 votes, avg was 9.8. After 19, avg was 8.6, after 33 votes avg was 7.6

But isn't it quite normal? Your fans and the enthusiasts are the first who are answering. Later quite normal people and also "pansy haters" are voting. More than 6.6 (two third) is a big result for you. Your president is dreaming of such results!

micha (*hoping to have pushed you up to 7.7 again*)

  14. I thought people liked to "ride" elephants? As long as its not made into some kind of show, I'm okay with that--provided I choose who gets to go for a ride. he, he.

Hmm, if we are like elephants, then perhaps we take on some of the leadership traits of elephants too. Leadership traits that would make them great Freestylers. At least from the inside/out perspective...

For example, elephants are known to regulate their reproductivity. So when there is a drought, they'll decrease reproductivity so as not to decrease the chances of their youth surviving.

As a freestyler, I tend to regulate the reproduction of my shoe collection! I keep 15 pairs and no more.

Elephants are also known to migrate during dry season...but in small sub groups, to allow for better distribution of scarce resources.

Similarly, as a Freestyler, I usually migrate to climates and geographies where I have a good chance of being accepted -- in the right shoes. Like going to a convention at the Hilton in round toe boots with a chunky heel. Or migrating to a restaurants and clubs in pointy stilettos. I keep alert to how my outfit will blend with the local geography. I regulate not just to survive, but thrive.

I guess if Im akin to an elephant in a room, then I'm probably just in transition from one room to another. People might look and some may want to "ride me", but they better take advantage of the small window of opportunity before its gone. :fine: Freestylers are indeed a rare breed.

I'm insisting to be an elephant but I am a gracile elephant on my heels :D

  15. I know, I'm a UK 7.5 / EU 41 which makes it easy to buy heels that fit. The last pair of Faith boots I bought are marked as an eight and are a looser fit. Go figure. So I now own pairs in sizes 7, 8 and 9 and they all fit. Guess that's why trying on is important.

    Chris

It's not quite hopeless for me with my EU 44/45 feet. Last year I found pink 3'' cowgirl boots at a Deichmann shop in Frankfurt. They were signed as EU 42 but at the first sight they appeared much bigger. Precautionary I had pulled on nylon pantihoses. I tried them on in the shop and after slipping into the pull on boots with ease they were simply mine. Even if a female sales clerk meant that this crazy guy has done enough mess with the shoe boxes. She tried to grab my boots for putting them back into the box and became red like a tomato as I spitted at her like a cat: these are my boots, I want to buy them! I have never seen such a helpless stuttering and confused salesgirl. Afterwards I felt really ashamed because of my harsh reaction.

  17. I had a great night out it the Thatched House in Stockport on Saturday!

I was playing a gig and wore Black Skirt, fishnets with 4” heels boots

At the start of the evening I was getting a couple of quizzical looks from a gang of Hells Angels. I went over to them and started to take the piss out of them before they started on me, had a laugh and started ranting on about Harley Davidson’s with them for a while.

They left and Howard H from http://www.skirtcafe.org arrived, who I had never met before. He was in a black leather mini with fishnets. He turned out to be a nice guy and has great taste in beer.

Then chris100575 turned up with his cousin and boyfriend; again, wonderful people!!

Chris’s cousin is VERY tasty!! It’s a pity she’s going out with a 12 dan. Ninja death warrior., or I may have tried my luck. :D) (Only joking Chris)

Chris looked ace in his New Rocks, he always carries it off though, probably because its getting second nature for him!

The gig went well which surprised me as I was drunk as a skunk by the time I got on stage!! In fact I went on stage with 4 synths and forgot to play 2 of them!!

At the end of the evening, the landlady was pouring pints of Stella down my gullet until 3:45 am as an experiment to see if I could still walk in stilettos with my brain pickled in a vat of alcohol! – I could.

    Twaz a good night

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

I would really like to see you with your band on stage! A guy on 4'' heels with fishnet nylons - that's better than the outfit of Prince. At least comparable with Tim Curry from the Rocky Horror Show

micha (*waiting for your next move on our chess board*)

  18. Great looking shoes and boots. Personally I like the pumps and the ankle boots better but tastes differ.

And I agree with Pumps; you have got great looking legs. Nice also to see more people from mainland, Europe.

Yep, many of us are living in the mainland EUROPE

micha (*living in frankfurt at the river main ... must be the mainland*)

  19. I've gone into this at some length in another thread, so in brief:

I've been shoe shopping today, and in Faith I tried on and bought a pair of very high and pointy knee length stiletto boots. The assistant looked momentarily surprised, but was very friendly and professional. I didn't pay enough attention to the other customers to judge their reaction, but they all seemed to be just as engrossed in their own shopping as I was. As it turned out I'm glad I did try on the boots, as they only had a size nine and I wouldn't have bought them assuming they were too big. True to Faith sizing variance however, they fit like a snug eight!

    Chris

A snug eight? Much too narrow for me. You are a lucky guy. I need at least a snug ten. That's the reason why I am ignoring ordinary shoe shops. As CrazyIcecap said: we need more sizes!

  20. Hello,

I have been reading this forum for some time now and decided it was time to make myself known to you.

I have been into heels before and was away for a few years. I have met a few of you guys in Belgium during a meet. After that my relationship was ended and I took a few years off to reflect. That time I thew away all my shoes and boots.

Today I am with a new girlfriend who knows I'm wearing heels, mainly boots. And like JeffB I älso need to rebuild my collection. This will be done with more care than I used to do.

I just wanted to say hi, nice to be back and great to read all your adventures.

    We will speak soon!!

    GJ

    Hello GJ,

nice to see that another guy is coming back. I don't know exactly what is motivating me for wearing high heels. Am I a crossdresser, is it a fetish or only a fashion? I don't know.

In the eighties I threw my platform boots into a charity container. Convinced that they are totally out of fashion ... later I was angry about this decision. My old love for high heels was growing again. Now I have decided to never throw again my boots away. Quite opposite - I'm wearing high heels daily on the street!

If they are threadbare or simply scrap, off into the garbage ton. But I'm collecting the others like a squirrel

    micha

  21. Only in my young teens I was too nervous to try anything in the shop and bought "For the girlfriend", but this lead to many misfits and disasters.

However, for years, I've tried ALL my shoes before buying. Not only has this lead to successful fitting, but a spin-off is all the most enjoyable fuss and attention that I and fellow members get from gorgeous and enthusiastic salesgirls! I avoid most salesguys (as they're sometimes a bit sniffy), but 99% of the girls are absolutely fantastic, especially as more and more guys are apparently 'coming out' and trying on the ladies' large sizes.

I wouldn't miss it for the worlds! It's one of the best things about the whole

streetheeling experience. Oh yes, and I always wear the out of the shop!

    Cheers, Heelfan

Exactly the same with me! It's almost 30 years ago when I bought my first womens boots. An elder lady asked me as sales clerk if she could help me. I became red like a tomato and stuttered something like "they are for my girlfriend". I'm sure that she was convinced that something is wrong with me. Naturally I didn't dare to try them on. These boots had only 2'' block heels

Today I'm grinning amused about the shyness of my youth. For me its always a fun to try on shoes in the womens section of a shoe shop. The main problem is simply that I can't find my size :D Nearly all my heels are from internet sellers or from ebay auctions.

  22. I find it amazing too that so many guys have such a passion for footwear which is very similar to the way that females discuss shoes! We see a boot and we all say what an awesome style it is and most women (who are into shoes) would probably be just as enthusiastic!

Despite of my motto I like the actual girls boot style. Whoever should wear high heels over narrow jeans on the street if not courageous girls or crazy guys

  23. Hi Tallboots,

this is a 3 years old picture from me with jean-gaborit-boots over tight jeans and selfmade heels. Two years later suddenly the girls top fashion. They are remembering me to your avatar!

    Posted Image.

Today I'm wearing them often over my MS60 drain pipe jeans. Naturally on the street:queen:

    nice greetings

    micha

    PS I like your outfit!
