1. I was wondering how you were doing just now. Happy Birthday for last week. Glad to see you're still around these parts. Hope you get better soon so you can start wearing heels again.

Oh, by the way I've just turned 26.

I think that we oldies are still the most reliables (*g*). At an age of 55 I feel to range between the youth and the grannies .... my compliments to "Dawn" that he was always following his conviction!

But in the next years its YOUR obligation as a younger guy to keep up the heritage of courageous guys like Dawn or Highluc.

  2. Hi.

I decided to do as the girls do today and wear my boots outside of my jeans in public.

    Black Top - Urban Spirit

    Jeans - Moto

    Boots - Airwalk @ Payless

    Black Pashmina Scarf - H&M

Jacket (not pictured) - New Look

On the most part, people were oblivious to what I was wearing but I did make some heads turn which was fun. None of the reactions I'd say were negative (most were side glances) and I'm actually wondering if people's thoughts of my outfit were good ones. After all, average guys don't generally dress like this. I was trying on some cool 4" heeled vintage boots in a local charity shop and the store assistant apprently gave my girlfriend the thumbs up - which I didn't see because I was too busy trying the boots on (they didn't fit well unfortunately). Ha!

    Hi HeelD,

this is also a cool style for guys!

I like wearing knee high boots over drain pipe stretch jeans. Just as the girls are doing. At least some of them.

Last saturday I saw a blond girl waiting at the zebra stripe with black high heeled boots over dark grey skinny jeans. Me waiting at the same place on cowgirl boots under flared jeans. I dared a shy glimpse to the left side but she didn't react. I am convinced that she was as unsure as me. When the red light switched to green I hesitated a little moment. That was unfair. I wanted to walk behind her - even as a gay guy!

She did her job quite well. Finally she disappeared in my supermarket where I had just done my daily purchases. To be honest - I was pondering about doing some useless purchases again ....

  3. What shall I say with my nipple rings? Every X-ray scanner is showing them clearly. Last week my doctor insisted because of my type-1-diabetes on a general health check. No chance to hide them ...

  4. Hi - I am new to this forum and this is my first post.

I have always been interested in womans heels, particually boots! I have never owned a pair until now. I have brought a pair of thigh boots from a company called Italianheels - here is the link

    http://www.italianheels.com/cgi-bin/showbig.pl?categoria=boots〈=en&item=4001

They are only for indoor wear as I would not have the courage to wear them outside. Great pair of boot though - black leather with silver leather linning, leather soles and 12 cm heel!

Let me know what you think?

Would anyone be interested in me adding pics of me wearing the boots???

Would be good to hear from some of you!

    Hi Thighboots,

at least they are offering my size and very nice shoes for guys! But why do you not have the courage to wear them outside? You must not wear the highest heels on the street. I have switched down in past some gears. In my opinion 8-cm-heels are a nice choice for guys on the street!

Sometimes I'm pondering why the guys are looking always for extreme heels and on the other side they are pissing into their trousers when wearing 3'' heels in public is on the topic?

    micha (*helpless*)

  5. Is it possible for a long lasting high heels carreer that there was no bad event?! One evening I was wearing my 5'' buffalo platform boots. I was sitting for a while on a chair with crossed over legs. I simply didn't realize that my lower leg has slept in. When standing up the misery happened: I sprained my foot completely unexpected. The next days I was only hobbling through the world because of my very hurtful strain  But that was my only misfortune in the last years. Usually I'm walking on high heels as sure if they were sneakers. Meanwhile I'm convinced that stiletto heels are much easier rsp. safer to wear than platforms. Sounds silly but is my experience

  6. Sorry, but I have to agree to my preposters. Happyfeat, you have not the build for wearing pointy feminine pumps. In your place I would try tighter jeans, pumps with a more rounded toebox and higher heels. I'm a big leptosome guy with very long legs. I should wear your 2.5'' shoes and you my 4'' cowgirl boots with broader stacked heels  Not everybody has the perfect body build for wearing all fashionable girls styles like Kneehighs. Neither you nor me ... I'm a giant on 4'' heels. micha

  7. I voted for 4'' because that's a heel height I'm comfortable with and that I have worn for hours on the street. My alldays heels in my hometown are rangeing between 3 and 4.5 inches. As a sportive challenge I could possibly manage a mile on 5.5 or 6 inch heels

  8. AHH!

Here we go again, we would like to wear some women's garments, but the women in our lives don't like it. Listen guys trousers and jeans are traditionally MALE garments!

I am old enough to remember the time when you never saw a woman in jeans or trousers. We never made a fuss when the started wearing OUR clothes! The trouble with men is that they let women dictate to them what they should or should not be wearing, try telling the woman in your life that she should not wear trousers or jeans and see what reaction you get!

This summer I have on two occasions worn a woman's kilt for walking on the Moors why, because a kilt is a male garment and I don't see why I should pay £300 for a kilt when I can get one for £30. Wearing it Commando was much cooler that shorts or jeans. ( which are now fast becoming the standard woman's garment! )

A couple of years ago I heard that the men in a Scottish pipe band were up in arms because the women in the band wanted to wear kilts, in other words they were feminising men's kilts. Looking on a kilt makers website recently I see that they now make a woman's kilted skirt that fastens on the right-hand side like a man's kilt.

What I am trying to say here is that women have no qualms about wearing men's clothes, but they don't like it when we start wearing their stuff, anything that we wear has to be specially made for men. Its time we told them were to get off!

    End of rant!

Why should I complain about the girls who are wearing male clothes? I don't know any reason why girls shouldn't wear their own style. I dislike flip-flops or ugg's but some girls are doing simply what we guys seem to have forgotten ... having guts!

  9. Still some remarks:

I'm wearing often high heeled boots in public. But rarely with extreme high heels. Either pointy black boots with 4'' stilettos under long flared jeans or the typical cowgirl boot styles with stacked 3 or 3.5'' heels.

No tall guy is wearing high heels because of the additional height! Just like you I like the style and the feeling of walking on high heels. I always try to find moderate styles as my alldays footwear. Not easy with an EU 44/45 foot size. Nevertheless there is no reason to complain. My feet are slim and small compared to my body height.

When meeting with small girls on the street or in a waiting qeue I'm regarding me sometimes as a giant. The girl only reaching up to my shoulders. Just like the danish comedians "Pat & Patachon". But am I responsible for this discrepancy if even 5' girls are wearing flip-flops instead of high heeled pumps?

At least the tiny chambermaid Tanja of the silly german telenovela "Sturm der Liebe (storm of love)" is always wearing high heels

    http://www.daserste.de/cmspix/bildgalerie/11112005669202_535.jpg

And here Tanja (guaranteed on high heels) together with the page boy Xaver (definitely not wearing high heels in the telenovela)

    http://www.daserste.de/cmspix/bildgalerie/13032007540738_535.jpg

Xaver must be even bigger than me!

  10. Me also 6' 4" ~ 1.90 m. On high heels I've to be always cautious at door frames. But where's the problem? Aren't the gullies on the street, the grids of air-conditioning systems or the cobble-stone pavements wellknown traditional enemies of the high-heels-wearing ladies? I have to care only for one further enemy  BTW my 6' 8" nephew has the same problem with door frames even with sneakers ...

  11. Well for the last couple of weeks at virtually every chance i have been wearing my new boots from faith shoes (a style called'moan').

They are a wedge heel and knee high in suede and dark brown.

tried to download a pic but failed!

Usually i would never wear heels as such if i could meet people i know while strolling around but they are so comfortable and discreet looking (ie with jeans over the boot) i thought what the hell or even what the heel!

So far i have bumped into my daughter twice (and her boyfriend),chatted to a neighbour for half an hour, been to the local shops (via my car) and generally been out and about and have carried out a couple of jobs,oh ye and been to peachys in bristol.

No one has said a word, even the fact that they make me four inches taller has passed people by.

what i have found is that in my early days of heeling i was very nervous so i acted odd,and people would be suspicious and so i would attract attention, now i am much more relaxed and no one seems to take a blind bit of notice.

Its a start and at least now locally i know i can heel without much stress!

Next on the agenda will be 'real' heels but maybe a bit further afield!!!!!

    Congratulations bladerunner

I'm a proud owner of similar wedge boots. They are made from dark grey leather with white stitching decorations and have the same rounded toe box, the same wedge height and the same thin platform sole. I got them from UK ebay in size 9. Don't know really if they are from Evans or Next - I suppose that they are like yours from Next.

In my opinion they are a perfect alldays style for guys. I'm wearing them since weeks over skinny jeans and I have never earned any bad comment. The sugar sweet compliment "Beautiful boots!" from two young turkish guys has to be subsumed under the category "normal experiences in my quarter". I answered "Indeed!":silly:

  12. my only answer is that I like to wear high heeled boots, narrow jeans or hot pants on the street. Don't ask me why - I can't give a convincing reply. It must be something like a collection of my individual experience. Burned into my brain in my youth when pulling on secretely my sisters boots or her jeans. Psychoanalytical interpretations are from a scientific standpoint the biggest nonsense of the world. It's time to close these ideology propagating institutes, still often financed by tax payers. Nobody needs them.

  13. Dinner reservations are confirmed for Friday, October 26th at Daniel at 8:45. I reserved a table for 3 (give or take 1).

If anyone else would like to join us for what in my opinion and William Grimes' (former reputable restaurant critic for New York Times) opinion is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan, please notify me either via pm or here of your interest.

    How to dress:

    Jacket required for men.

    Tie recommended.

You don't have to wear a 3.5K bespoke suit from Duncan Quinn to come!

Jacket required for men and a tie recommended 8) Sorry, but this icon was simply necessary! As a guy with a punk mentality I would even prefer to creep through a garbage bin ...

  14. Well I am 43 now, but I have done it a lot in my 20's and 30's and if anything the public attitudes have been improving since about 1995.

This is a Uk perspective, London and home counties mainly, but I have done it all over the world including NY, Moscow, Paris, NL, Belgium, Turkey etc

If you want to keep a respectable profile I recommend chunky heels or cowboy boots up to about 4 inches, at least to start with.

    Hi big magician,

compared with me (55) you are still a teenager! But I have to agree completely ...

    micha

  15. Hi Bubba,

I have the same curious question. Hiluc's old internet pages have poisoned me successfully 8) An officer of the belgian airforce on high heels, why not me?!

I have never read again from him after his decision to become a woman. Nevertheless I'm endless greatful that there was a single and left alone guy who helped us so much to develop our nowadays courage. I hope that (s)he is living happy in Hasselt as a woman!

    micha

  16. I found a pair of nice shoes give me your feedback...

Why not? They are nice pumps but it's always the question where you want to wear them: on the street, at home or during a club night? For outdoor wearing they even could have broader heels!

I have switched one gear back. IMHO 8 or 10 centimeters are a good choice for alldays wearing. I'm more interested in boots but I don't like anymore the typical fetish boots. I'm preferring meanwhile cowgirl boots with a broader 3 or 4'' heel. I don't want to ruin my heels in every small gap of the pavement! Nevertheless I'm still fascinated about pointy shoes/boots with high stiletto heels - but unluckily they aren't appropiate as everyday footwear. Neither for girls nor for guys 8)

Extreme stilettos are good for home wearing, photo shootings or club nights. Everyting at the right time ...

    nice greetings

    micha

  17. I have been wearing high heels for the last 42 years. I started when I was in puberty. My sister always had high heels in her closet and my mother hung her heels "IN" my closet. I tried my mom's heels on one day and have been hooked ever since. When I out grew my mom's heels I started wearing my sisters heels. Then I started wearing my mom's hose with her heels - yum. I can't imagine how much I have spent on high heels during my lifetime. I have over 400 pairs now and buy more every week. I am 56 now and will always wear high heels.

What started all the other guys??

    Bernheels

Are you wearing your several high heels also on the street in public?

  18. The top of the shaft is 18” from the ground. Then I saw they were size 12W and on sale for $1.50 (one dollar and fifty cents). I didn’t even bother trying them on because I was sure I could wear them.

For 1 Euro ~ $1.41 I would buy almost everything. I were glad to find a 2-kg-sack of potatoes for "only" 1 Euro. The world has become completely crazy ...

    micha (*a severe potato addicted*)

PS One pair of high heels instead of my daily meal? I'm not Charly Chaplin. Shoe soles are a poor nourishment especially if they are made from PVC

  19. i personally have no lace up boots, but if I did I would prefer them lace up only...

I do like laceups but sometiems the style doesn't fit the boot right to me...

IMO the best would be rear-zip or rear-lacing... that looks the hottest to me...

I'm a fan of old fashioned laced-up boots. BTW: I'm also a proud owner of pointy stiletto boots with a rear zipper. Sorry, no picture available at the moment:mecry:

But I have a picture of my laced adidas-style-boots worn over black patent jeans

    http://www.mbuenger.de/pics/105-0501_img.jpg

I'm still loving them, they were my first high heels in public. I have worn them under long flared jeans in a second attack of courage in the city of Wiesbaden when searching the place of my first tattoo parlour ...

The first attack of courage was definetly the decision for getting a tattoo (*grin*)

  20. Why do the majority of boots that are lace-up also have zippers? It does not seem to make sense to me why you would need both. Why not just one or the other? Do the laces just improve the fit of the boot after being zipped up? Is the zipper only used for quick on and off?

What do like better (to wear or see), lace-up of boots with zippers only?

    Quella

I don't know. I would never buy laced boots with a zipper. If I were a corset addicted I had never the strange idea to buy a corset with a zipper at the front only for comfort. Either laced or not laced. I'm a hater of Doc Martins boots - but could you imagine this style with a zipper? Simply ridiculous!

    nice greetings

    micha

  21. http://flickr.com/photos/13908361@N06/

I thought some of you here would like to see what I wear to work these days. The pics include some of me in heels, some of me in flats or guys shoes, but all of them show me in hose/tights.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks

I like your brown ankle boots from Isaac Mizrahi. I'm ogling with a pair with a higher shaft but similar heels from Buffalo shoes. They have a thin platform sole and a rounded toe box

    http://www.buffalo-shop.de/res/product200/resource_38894.jpg

I have found a source offering them in black and in EU 42. Big sized buffies are usually generous in size but I don't know really if they are matching to my EU 44 feet 8)

    Always the same old story!

  22. Faith, Dune, Topshop and most other shops use EU42 as Size 9, whereas Next & M&S EU42 is labelled as size 8. Next do EU43 as size 9. So go figure.

    TB2.

    Hi TB2,

NEXT is offering nearly all shoes in UK 9. But never bigger. In my opinion the shoes from NEXT are more elegant than the shoes from Evans/Essence. Often the ESSENCE boots are made from manmade leather and besides I don't need boots with extreme wide shafts while the NEXT styles are much more fashionable and usually made from true leather with narrower shafts and a more elegant design.

My question: Is a NEXT UK 9 comparable with an ESSENCE UK 9? The ESSENCE styles are often a true EU 44 or 45. My size! Are the sizes of NEXT comparable with ESSENCE? And what is your opinion about the sizes of TOPSHOP - are they really only an EU 42?

I know - typically man made materials, but sometimes they have really nice styles!

Thanks for your answer in advance

    micha

  23. Here is mine: Posted Image

Again another guy with beautiful high heels legs! If I were still 19 years old I would participate at once at this contest but I'm already 55 years old. I think that my legs aren't ugly but it's time to accept that they are not suitable for a sexiest legs contest:mecry:

Nevertheless a lot of girls on the street have no chance to compete with some guys here!

  24. yeah my right foot is a little bit bigger but none of my other shoes and boots show this much difference in size like these boots do.

Even the fingers of my right hand are thicker than the fingers of my left hand. Sometimes ago I pushed my tribal ring which I'm wearing usually on my left middle finger over my right middle finger. As the finger was swelling and growing red I got the panic. Using a lubricant I got the ring finally off. What a relief! In my fantasies I saw me already on the operating table of a clinic where the doctors are treating me with a metal saw:mecry:

No question, its possible that your right boot is in addition too narrow. May be that the chinese seamstress had a bad day. With her income I had only bad days. I'm sure that my boots have the same size on the left and the right side as my finger ring.

But aren't my boots the same as yours (neglecting the different colour)?
