Was there any explanation of not sending you what you actually ordered?   Regardless of whether they (fortunately) run large and therefore fit you, I would not expect a substitution to be made without consultation.

There was no explanation. I am in full agreement with your point on consultation. Sometimes we hit it lucky on sizing, this one I’m putting it as a win, sometimes we loose. As my mum taught me, if it lands in your lap say nought, if it doesn’t, stand your ground.

  2. I ordered a UK10, a US12, They sent me a UK9, a US11. I’m not unhappy as they fit well, and fit like a damn glove. The sizes are erratic I’ll admit. Not gonna complain as I now know my size, I could see me getting these again in another colour.

  3. Just had these Naturalizer Callie Boot in within the last hour. A great stretch for me from my 2.5” Cubans, these are 4 inch, the specs say they are 3.5” with a .5” platform, the size 12US/9UK/42EU is closer to that elusive and brilliant 4inch number. They are comfortable, you don’t feel as if it’s a heel you are wearing, really good footbed if a few millimetres too narrow, not a deal breaker. Only issue is that the tounge doesn’t stay in place when pouring your feet in to them. The leather wrapped heel is a lovely addition to a killer boot. The reviews I read were correct, they fit a half size larger.

It’s how short your stride becomes at that 4 inch marker. Stunning boot for the fall/winter. Will look great with some jeans, t shirt and a long down coat or a trench coat I have coming.

I worried about the sizing, now I don’t have to worry, I can wear this size with socks. Will now be looking at other Naturalizer boots, and other companies. I’m attending a wedding in April and want a nice pair of shoes/boots for that!!!

  4. This has to be business. It’s a capsule collection at the moment. It’s less a toe dip, more an ankle in the water. It’s not a full leg or even torso yet.

Id also suggest that it’s also from taller women, women with larger feet I’d say. Women have feet over a size 7US/9UK/43EU.

Its business, if they get taller women with generally larger feet they will get men. It’s a double addition. If they get an extra day third of sales, that may be many times that in profit. It won’t be an easy thing to add into a manufacturing line, it will add complexity, if they have done their production line correctly it will be easy to add in.

Its a massive plus for us. I could see me saving for a pair of Jimmy Choo boots, if they got the colours sorted. The orange is the only one I like.

  5. Loving the look of the boots and Oxfords in this thread. I’d like to see more tan or brown ones in there.

Is it warm wearing boots in the summer? I’m taking a look at 3.5 inch heel lug sole boots right now.

    thanks from Scotland!

Why 'bizarre'?   A survey some years ago highlighted that Scottish women were more likely to wear high heels than in almost any other area of the UK, with north east England a close second.   One reason is that many Scottish women are on the shorter side.   My own observations in Glasgow (although, alas, not in recent years) bore both facts out.

That’s a stat and fact I’ll take with me. Just like our addiction to energy drinks, where we consume twice the amount of them as any other location in the UK.

  7. ASOS have a massive sale on right now. Something that some may want to take advantage of as they have the Recite boots for not much more than £10. Many others for a bargain.

UK guys, just a heads up, as we head out of lockdown, be prepared for a massive sale in Debenhams and others who will be closing for good shortly.

I ordered a pair of MJ boots in February with 4” heels.  I hear he has about a 2 month turnaround, and I am getting excited in anticipation.

    Can’t wait to see them!!

Im looking at a 13 or 16 inch shaft, 3.75 or even 4 inch heel, conical or his thin heel in ostrich leather for the foot and another leather for the shaft with no embroidery, apart from on top of the foot. Looking at that butterscotch colour with natural coloured heel/sole.

They will be my party/going to gigs heels. My Tony Lamas with a 1 5/8 inch heel are like wearing flats now.

  9. They are quite clicky, the right one especially. I’m experiencing the same, the sky don’t fall in.

Im planning a pair of MJ cowboy boots with a 3.75 inch heel. Something with a bit of a click. Once we are allowed out again, I’m going to a discount outlet where there’s tons of names and tons of deals. I’m overhauling my wardrobe, want items that will be with me for decades now. Might see a pair of higher heels I like there.

Im tired now, the vaccine is killing me, just tiredness and sore body parts now, and a brain fog.

  10. I can report that yesterday’s outing was a success. Driving is no issue, I feel safer driving in heels than without. Got out the car, the click is assuredly loud enough in the car park. Going down the stairs was easy, hold the handrail - right? On the cobbled floor walking was easy, then got to the venue, loads of flooring changes, nice slippery surfaces, the heel click was beautiful. Got checked in, got my shot of the AstraZeneca, then waited 10 minutes as I was driving, it’s different and difficult to imagine the venue is where I’ve seen some of my favourite bands/artists play to massive crowds. Then the longish walk back to the car, the heel click is something I’m getting addicted to, got some looks from some blokes, got a thumbs up from a woman who was wearing brown 5.5 inch heel boots. Again, apart from going shopping or going for a jab, folks here are getting dressed for going out. The stairs were again no issue going up. Then the drive home. I almost fell in the door as I misplanted a heel and didn’t get any on the step going in the house.

I look forward to every time I can wear my heels now. Now my suede pair are waterproof now, I can wear them.

Now for the side affects of the vaccine. Stiff/sore shoulder, sore back, feeling a little foggy in the brain like I’ve got a cold. One step closer to being able to go shopping for nice jeans/trousers to show my heels off more and possibly buy some more heels in a shop setting.

  11. Got another pair of those Cuban Heels I got a few weeks ago, this time in suede, just need to waterproof them now. Went one size further down to a 9UK/43EU and I like the tighter feel now, no heel slippage.

I also got a pair of Chelsea style Snakeskin effect ones (https://www.shuperb.co.uk/club-cubano-mccartney-mens-leather-winklepicker-cuban-heel-boots-python-p17951) and they look the part.

2.5 inch, maybe to 3.25 inch may be my daily height, I am looking at a pair of Miguel Jones cowboy boots, with a 3.75-4 inch heel. If they can do a conical heel I’d love that. Something that gives a nice click.

Going for my vaccine today, so will be driving a decent distance, same for walking and encountering stairs for the first time, both up and down.

Again, where do you live? Cause its zero heels where I live.

Scottish Lowlands. A bizarre place I know for lots of heel wearing. Lots of block heels and stiletto boots/ankle boots at the moment, some pumps as well.

Come to Europe if You want to see ladies wearing high heels (that means 4" or higher). In some countries they are still worn by many women. I like that!

Have to agree on that point. I see many come into my work with heels in the 2-3 inch mark, mostly boot variety at the moment. We have regulars that often wear 105mm+ heels as a normal, most are in the 75mm to 95mm range.

Heels are on their way back at the moment, folk are “dressing up” to go food shopping as it’s the only thing we can do right now. Once we start to emerge, once all the shops open and most importantly restaurants I’ve had regular customers and say they are already buying nice things to go and meet family/friends and for the office. I am confident in my prediction that women will want to get those heels out. When live entertainment and nightlife industry comes back, the party heels are coming out. I’ll also add, women may not be the only ones enjoying heels coming out of this pandemic, that isn’t a prediction though as I like some other men might have to decided to join women and the fun in heels.

Ive seen YouTube videos, and heard it from colleagues and customers say that on a Friday or Saturday they and their family are now dressing up as if they are going out, getting a Just Eat or Deliveroo with some nice food and drink followed up with them having a movie night. Folk are tired of joggers/leggings and comfortable clothes now. Folk are seeing the enjoyment of looking fancy and feeling fancy. On such nights, the girls are going full hog with hair, makeup and heels.

Europe may be a little more insular, as we have the style capitals of London, Paris, Rome and Berlin in a tight area, and influence thereof will trickle down.

People are tired of being locked down, stay at home and shelter in place. Folk will want to look great as much as they can. It starts in the office, this is where you make your money, so they will just have to get those heels on for work.

  14. First time out in heels today. The confidence boost and power you feel with heels, even if mine are a tad on the low side, on is amazing.

I now see why folk were pushing me towards 3, 3.5 or even 4 inches. I can now see why women get what do they call it, “bad bitch” energy, and “boss bitch” vibes.

Wont be long before I’m pushing for higher heights once I’ve got full confidence and security. I don’t see a slender stiletto being much of a issue as well.

Cannot wait to get out and about in them again soon. Maybes when I get the letter to go get my first vaccine.

They look brilliant on, not sure I’d be okay with the white, I’d probably go with the black ones. What like is both heights to walk in? How comfortable are they to proper heels? I would like to know more, please. How clicky are the heels?

    Thanks!!!
