Hard to get a picture that shows the detail. Wore these to work with shorts. Had numerous women tell me they LOVE my boots. One woman wanted to a picture on her phone with both of us showing our boots. That never happened when I wore men's shoes.

Wow Cali, what a nice pic and great story!  Can you tell us more about how you were able to wear boots and shorts at work?  Is there a casual dress code and is your manager ok with it?   Was it part of an event?  Or did you just decide to go ahead and wear them?

Wish I could to that.  Wearing my jeans and boots in my avatar as I type this.

  2. What are your thoughts on this article?

I like her outfit and her boots.  i just wouldn't wear them while teaching class.  Maybe it would be okay to change into walking to and from her car, or an evening parent-teacher conference.  But I might find her boots too distracting when teaching.

  3. CAT, we will have to meet up again at that adult social club where we first met. You can show off your skirts and boots and fit right in. Hope to see you soon in your sexy boots.

Great boots and great look.  Is this an out and about outfit?

    :wavey:

I would say yes, Thighbootguy.  I have ventured out to a few shorter outings in my outfit.  So far I went to get a sandwich at Subway late night and another night I went in for a drink at an empty and remote bar, late night as well. Tried out this look at an adult social club that I visit regularly.  Early this morning I went off to Starbucks and gas station. Mostly I look for less crowded, safe and accepting places since this is my most daring look.

Kitty, your killer style is the look I strive for also.  You really do look great, your long legs are perfect for the jeans and boots....

It must feel great to have positive input, thanks for the inspiration.

Actually I'm short, let's just say I'm 5'9" in high heeled boots.  But being small has it's advantage, I can fit into smaller sizes.

  6. Yesterday was Cubs victory parade and rally.  I went to Wrigley Field to catch a glimpse of Cubs players and their championship trophy as they boarded double decker buses to go to Grant Park in Chicago.

Continued celebrating later on that night wearing my brown boots in my avatar and going to an adult "social club".  One of their female members gave me a sincere compliment, "I'm so jealous, I just love your boots."  to which I thanked her for admiring my boots.

But I digress.  This is pretty big news as this was estimated at about 5 million people came out to this event, making it largest attended event in US history and 7th largest event in world history.

Are there any other countries that have followed Cubs winning World Series?   Anyone else like to talk about Cubs?  Discuss.

  7. My desire to wear high heel boots was mostly learned.  Movies, TV shows and music videos showed very sexy boots and it was my desire to dress like these stars, walk like they did, reenact those scenes.

I thought that I would never wear a pair of high heel boots in my lifetime and I would just accept it. My first pair was purchased at a thrift store.  Thanks to Internet sites, I was able to find my first pair of thigh high boots, which again I never thought I would wear.

My desire to wear boots also came from my dreams. I had a dream a very long time ago, that I was walking in a parking lot wearing a short black leather jacket, tight blue jeans and sexy high heel black pirate boots. This was long before I had any boots. This past Sunday I wore my slim fitting black jacket, blue denim riding jeans and my recently acquired high heel black pirate boots.  Then I drove to that parking lot near where I grew up and walked across that lot feeling confident that I lived my dreams.

  8. Yes, every time I put my high heel boots I feel feminine.  Everything from my facial expressions, my stride, my voice, my mannerisms all go into girl mode when I wear boots.  Today I went to a local coffee shop and was called ma'am which didn't bother me.  In fact I was excited that I was able to pass as a woman. If I carry myself as a woman, some may assume I am one and move on.  Putting on high heel boots makes me feel good about myself.  I feel that I have a certain look that not all males are able to pull off.

  9. I don't recommend wearing sandals like I wore yesterday. They do fit a little better than they look in the picture.

Today, on both feet, the ball of my foot and bottom of my big toe are very sore.  These areas were carrying most of my weight when I walked and there was no give in the shoe.  The areas also took all the torque when I turned my foot.  There weren't comfortable when I had them on but sore feet the day after is really a bummer.

I found three YouTube videos that caught my eye.

These three caught my eye because the gal (Andrea Lin) doing the presentation is wearing thigh boots with stiletto heels and shorts.  The educational content isn't bad either.

then headed out to the nail salon have my nails (4 guitar picks) done.  After that I stopped at a Kroger's that is different than the one I normally frequent.

I wore a pink lady's shirt, hose, and black leather thigh boots with 5 ¼" stilettos.  I was either wearing a short black shorts or a short corduroy skort.

Most of the folks I encountered either ignored me or seemed to accept that a guy was making a statement about what he liked to wear and were willing to go along with it.  I didn't notice one askance look, but I did get a lot of friendly smiles.

I went out to Walgreen's for a prescription wearing a pink lady's shirt, denim shorts and brown pumps with an 1/8" block heels.  attachicon.gifGEDC0485.jpg

For me going out without my thigh boots is an adventure.

After I got the prescription,I noticed that there was a display of summer rubbed knit dresses.  I had accumulated a bunch of reward points so i used them and bought two of the dresses in black for $1.50.  The dress can be worn as a short dress

    or as a sleeveless top.

I really never thought I'd wear a dress like this but I'm going to give it a try.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting those YouTube videos Thighbootguy, very informative.  In fact some of her tips I already do when I walk in high heeled boots.  I visit an adult social club for CDs in Chicago, and one of their regulars asks me "How can you wear those things?"  I reply walk heel, toe, heel, toe. Keep your back straight and above all walk with confidence in your heels.

  10. Since I only wear boots, my confidence level is much higher in winter than in summer time.  In winter days are shorter which means it is easier for me to disappear into darkness.  And colder temperatures mean people will be out and about in boots.  In summer time, days are longer and more people will be outside, meaning more people will see me in my high heeled boots.  And for me is just simply too hot for boots in summer, and I would feel out of place if everyone around me was wearing sandals and flip-flops.

  11. For years my dream pair of boots was inspired by a music video by ZZ Top "Legs".

Bought this pair on eBay, vintage 80s black leather OTK / pirate cuffed boots made in Italy, size 37 EUR, 6 1/2 - 7 US.  They are 4 1/4" spike high heels.  I took this pair to a local shoe repair store for brand new heel tips.  This is fine Italian leather, and feels soft like a glove.  Tops of this pair can be worn up for a sexy OTK look or cuffed for a pirate look.

So far I have gone on short simple outings like Starbucks or my local post office.  More stories and adventures will follow.  I am happy with my purchase and had one of my life's dreams come true.

  12. Your story reminds me of a social club that I have attended on occasion, outskirts of Chicago (USA).  We had a heel meet last year and I met a few members of High Heel Place.  Here you can wear your boots, cross dress or whatever you fancy, while enjoying a few drinks in a nice social party atmosphere.  I've received several "I like your boots" compliments from guests, even a few ladies.  People who are regular attendees at these parties are accepting of a man in heels.

Thighbootguy, I enjoyed reading your post.

  13. Always good to hear from another heeler in the Chicago area!  Which Metra station do you use - Union, Northwestern, LaSalle?  I don't go downtown much, but used to come in to Union Station and walked through the great hall every day.  Always thought it would be fun to wear heels and be able to here the clicking echoing.  Never did try it though.

Hi RonC, I go on Northwest line from suburbs.

Duh... The person that says you don't belong in boots is in your head, along with the person that says you do belong in boots.  I think it is time you start listening more to the guy that wants to wear boots than that other guy.  If you wear them with confidence (like you belong in boots), others wil recognize that confidence and accept your style presentation.

Your description of yor outfit "tight black denim riding jeans, vintage 80's knee high Italian black boots, 4" heels, with a slim fitting leather jacket" sounds classy (a picture would be nice).  The boots in your avitar look great and its a shame not to show them off.

Somehow find a way to enjoy your boots.

    Thighbootguy,

Of course I belong in boots, that other guy is my wife.  LOL

    SleekHeels,

I agree it comes across as a classy look.

Since you are all asking here are a few pics of my all black outfit.

Getting back on topic, who's next.  What's your next challenge wearing heels?

  14. This is a challenge that is a work in progress, wearing boots on a train.

With autumn months and colder darker days ahead, I thought it would be fun to wear boots on my train ride home.  There is a train system (Metra) and a subway system (CTA) running in Chicago.  I ride Metra trains daily.  I have tried this a few times at night.  In my office, I have to wear business attire, shirt, tie and dress pants.  So I try to find a safe place to change after work. Timing is everything changing into boots outside of my office. When I am feeling daring I would board my train wearing tight black denim riding jeans, vintage 80's knee high Italian black boots, 4" heels, with a slim fitting leather jacket.  I always wonder with all these people running to catch a train if they would give disapproving looks, or take my picture.  But as I have read in other supportive posts, people are generally too occupied with their devices or catching their trains to notice.

Tonight's outing in boots was uneventful. I walked to my station like I belong in boots. A lady who sat next to me was busy reading her book. Did not pay too much attention to what I had on.  I enjoyed crossing my legs when I had more leg room after she left, or a click-click sound of my heels as I walk off a train.  Although I don't see myself doing this round trip all day, it was my closest thing to wearing high heel boots in downtown Chicago.

  15. Seems they were tolerant to me. Respect like acceptance is something you need to earn. Just as they tolerate a person wearing them, one has to tolerate what they may think or say.

This is the oldest lame excuse among male heel wearers. Sorry if it sounds like I'm not sympathetic. Truth is, I'm not.

Just wishful thinking that's all.  Of course when you go out in public, you are dealing with the public.  It goes with the territory.
