  1. Well done LuvyourShoes :-)

I'm sure your girlfriend will appreciate the fact you were honest with her.

It's also a good thing you told her before your relation become more serious.

Everything will be fine after she realize you are the same person as before.

I second what Shafted wrote: "Give her time. It's a lot for her to absorb."

  2. ...I finally felt it was time I ventured into the great outdoors...

    Well done Jism :-)

I'm sure this won't be your last outing !

    Next step: Shopping mall ?

    PS:

Did you notice that your avatar is the same as pebblesf ?

  3. I love pink heels to

This is my new pink heels from Aldo

    Nice shoes !

Do they fit a little bit tight or they are OK ?

If they fit OK then you are a lucky man with narrow feet !

  4. I was in my local aldo the other day, and I tried on these exact shoes...

I am normally a 10, and these were way to small for me! ...

Thanks for your input Mr. X. You said they were too small and your normal size is 10.

Did you try them in size 10 or size 11 ?

A female friend wear size 8 and she also complain about their narrow shoes.

Aldo got many nice shoe styles which I would buy if they were made wider.

Fortunately their boots are OK. Good for me because I LOVE boots!

  5. When do the retail stores typically put out the spring colors? I'd like to get some pink

heels (or white too). Tho finding the style I like is like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

Aldo just introduced their new shoes collection in spring colors.

I don't wear or own any pink heels but these pink pumps are driving me crazy !

It is quite unfortunate closed toe shoes from Aldo are too narrow for me

If they would fit I'm sure I would buy a pair just for their look !

I think I will visit the store and try a pair. Maybe they are made wider than usual ?

  6. ...And I am seriously considering wearing a denim skirt for my next visit.

If you do, please keep us posted !

Remember Erika suggested to wear "short pants or a long skirt".

( Most denim skirts are above the knee length )

Can wait to read her reaction if you don't follow her fashion rule LOL !

I own a few denim skirts and I like the look very much.

They are also light and comfortable to wear.

I wore one while visiting a close friend of mine (No reaction !)

But I'm not ready to wear a skirt in public yet

  7. ...Anyway, I bought these They're really comfortable and super easy to walk in...

Nice ankle boots ! They are open toes ? Not too cold for your toes ? (Brrrrrr !)

... Or maybe they would look better with short pants or a long skirt." Whaaaat?! ...

Next time what about walking into the store wearing a skirt and your new ankle boots ?

I'm sure she will be amazed ! (Don't forget to wear leggins if weather is too cold...)

  8. Please don't refer to me as "boy". It's very rude.

    Greetings heelguy :-)

Again, well done telling your father.

I agree with you that Gudulitooo's reply appears to be rude at first.

But please note that he is from France so his native language is French.

(My native language is also French)

Some French expression are not easily translated to English (and vice-versa)

If I translate "Sorry to wake you up, boy" back to French the

statement would be something like "Désolé de te réveiller mon garçon".

Which is not rude at all. In fact it is polite and respectful.

(My English is not perfect but I'm trying very hard to do my best !)

    Happy heeling !

  9. They were advertised as tall boots, but yes, they are over the knee.

I've definitely going to have to consider skinny jeans or jeggings unless I wear them under the jeans.

I think nice boots like these are made to be seen.

They would look much better over jeans or jeggings.

Wearing Over The Knee boots under jeans: What will happen when you sit down ?

I guess it will look weird in the knee area and they won't be confortable.

  10. ...'Falge' by Aldo, and true to Aldo sizing, I'm squeezing into the "size 11".

Not sure if I should return them or just be patient and stretch them out.

    Heelaphile

Very nice. I have a similar style from Aldo (called Fornili) also in size 11.

(Don't worry about the trend. They look nice and you like them so wear them !)

Closed shoes from Aldo do run small. Size 11 is more like a 10.

I don't think they will stretch with time. Mine didn't...

Did you try the "zip-lock trick" in the freezer to stretch them ?

  11. ...why my camera is taking fuzzy photos when you zoom in though...

Nice boots ! You may want to use manual focus while taking pictures in zoom mode.

...As for these boots, they claim to be a 3" heel, but I'm sure I will have to

measure them since It sure felt closer to a 4". the price was right too...

A very good choice indeed. The shaft seems quite high. Are they knee high ?

Wedge heels are always comfortable to walk. Well done !

...I could not resist these boots...

Very nice boots. They are my style too !

Lucky for you they were available in size 12.

Nothing over size 10 at my local Nine West store...

  12. Greetings carolineraff and welcome to this forum :-)

...think I have a slight addiction though!!...

Dont worry about it. You are not the only one !

(BTW, if you don't already know, there is no cure againts it but at least it is a "good" addiction.)

  13. These have just arrived today! Both pairs are from Fuss, 6.5 inch heels and are a size EU43.

    What do you think?

Both are very nice. I think I prefer the red ones (Wow !)

Don't think I could walk very far in such high heels

but I'm sure I would enjoy wearing them at home

  14. Again, thank you all for your comments ! Two comments got my attention: "Memory foam" and "made around my foot" It seems obvious they are really well made and comfortable to wear. Now my brain keep saying "Louboutin-Louboutin" and it doesn't stop ! Problem is there are no Louboutin store nearby and I don't want to order on the Internet. I want to try a pair for real to see how they fit before buying. What do I do next ????

  15. Yeah it was crazy. Usually I just scurry in, pick something quick, and scurry out trying not to make eye contact with anyone. This time it was so much fun I'm dying to do it again! There were customers in the store, but I have no idea what they thought or if they even cared. I think it's because I was just so darn open about it, and positive and cheerful that it was just thought of as ok or fun!

The first time you try heels in a store is not easy but

once done you wonder why you did not do it before.

Good idea to go to the website and write a comment

about your shopping experience and the sales associate.

(Don't forget to mention her name or employee number)

The manager will be happy to read such a good review

    about her employee.

We should always do this when we get good quality service in a store.

    Well done !

PS: When I send a comment to Aldo website, the store where I made

the purchase automatically receive a copy of my comment so the salesperson

can read it to. And I receive even better service next time I visit them !

  16. ...but saturday the wife and i each got 3 pairs! went to DSW and the nine west outlet...

Nice shoes. The kelsi daggers looks amazing ! (I must say your wife has great taste)

...had a great reaction from a gentleman in dsw!, ..."man thats some crazy s..."

Did he say this in a positive or negative way ?

I just bought a pair of size USA 13 mens black suede ankle wedged boots!

I like the boot style and the hidden wedge heel. Wow !

Good for you they make these very nice boots in your size. Well done !
