  1. Nice shoes! They look businesslike yet elegant on a woman and would obviously appeal to many of our male members too. Rather too feminine for me to contemplate for street-heeling but ideal if they had a thicker stacked heel and no platform ... :)

I also like the "businesslike" look.

Platform shoes are not normally my prefered style but these I like very much.

They are also more comfortable to wear than they appear.

Never saw high heels loafer shoes without platform yet.

I agree they would also look nice.

Love the style. Enjoy wearing them out maybe?????:)

Did not have a chance to wear them out yet.

But I intend to wear them to work soon before weather gets too cold !

  2. Interesting! The manlyness of a loafer combines with femalness of a stilletto. If that makes any sense.

It does make sense indeed. I like your description !

On the English website, these shoes are in the "Oxford & loafer" section.

But on the French website, they are under "Male-Female" section. ("Masculin-Féminin" in French)

Interesting to see the webmaster did not use the same meaning in English and French !

  3. ...I've spent the last 2 days reading the forums for advice on walking in heels...

    Hello again Silviatti :-)

You may want to do some reading here.

In your first post you wrote " I decided to replace dating with shoe shopping"

Is this a really goog idea ? What about doing both ?

This way you would have less time for shoe shopping and save money...:)

  4. As I already replied on the other thread. I am a regular Aldo's customer and almost all their closed shoes are too small and/or narrow. Some of their open toe sandals and boots are OK. You need to try them in the store. I wear women's US11 (EU41). Their closed shoes feel more like narrow US10 (EU40). Fortunately for me, most of the boots in US11 are OK :)

  5. ... Today I wore a white dress shirt under a black jacket.

Down below I wore jeans and my "Aldo" ankle boots...

...So I couldn't help snapping a couple of quick shots...

Nice outfit and great outing Mr. X. Well done !

    Can I make you a suggestion ?

You may want to ask the mods to remove the picture

of the salesgirl from your post as soon as possible.

This would reduce the risk of it being posted somewhere else on the Internet.

The picture showing the shoes is OK since no one could recognize her...

  6. ...I got it from Spring Shoes. Follow this link here. (I also have it in white)

    Addition to my last post.

Went to the store yesterday, saw it in brown and decided to buy it.

I now have the same shoulder bag in brown, black and white...

Maybe I'm a little bit crazy but I like the style so much :)

  7. BLKP = Black Patent (Patent = Shiny)

I guess there is an description error on the website. They have it backward.

The boot we see on the attached picture is made of PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride)

PVC can be shiny or not shiny. The same with leather.

  8. I was considering to be on Facebook in order to locate old friends from school. But as stated before, I read their terms and conditions and changed my mind. I don't like the fact all information you put on Facebook belong to them forever and they can do what they want with it without asking your permission. No thank you !

  9. danielp6406: Oh, wow! That's a really sharp looking bag, my friend!

Bravo to you for making such a stylish choice!

Thanks for the positive comment about my shoulder bag !

I got it from Spring Shoes. Follow this link here. (I also have it in white)

In the USA Spring Shoes is under a different name. It is "Call it SPRING"

Note that I don't see my shoulder bag on their US website.

Maybe you can still order it by the model name ?
