Have often thought of wearing some other "female branded" accessories, especially super tight jeans and leggings...But, need to drop a few pounds first....

I tried some super skinny jeans, but it took too much effort to get them up my legs and even more to get them off. They did fit my waist (30 inch) but they went back; I'm not a sausage and don't want to look like one. 🙃

  2. While my wardrobe has many (mostly) items from the woman side of the store, those runway looks are nothing I plan to wear; although, I have faux leather pants and snakeprint jeans. Funny thing is a get compliment by men of some of what I wear and asked where they can find that ____ .

Make-up companies see men as an untapped revenue source, but it will be a hard sale.  You now see some of the mainstream companies starting to use male spoke-models. But I'm still waiting for that 60 second ad during the Super Bowl for male eyeshadow or mascara.  LOL

  3. I switched to only wearing women's shoes over a decade ago. It was a matter of fit and supporting my feet better. Men's shoes never fit my feet and lead to many injuries and surgeries.  So I have had sandals (and painted toes - pearl at first) for years. I started with sneakers and booties up to 2.5 inch heels.  My friends noticed right away that I had heels on, I was taller all of a sudden. I said I was told to by my foot surgeon because of the shape of my arch.

In 2015 I had an emergency need to wear 4 inch heels 24/7 for 5 months; couldn't walk without them. That lead to now where I am in heels as much as possible. I even load kayaks in them.

The first summer I wore 4 inch sandals with shorts, so I exposed my heels early in my journey. While I did hide my heels with longer boot cut jeans, even getting some with a 34" inseam I am now comfortable in skinny cut (stretch) jeans with a 30" or even a 28" inch inseam. So my heels are always exposed.

Remember I'm a professional and a senior....lol.  But I'm not a inside-box-type of guy, specially when you have been involved with non-terra projects or work at the edge of what is known and expanding from there. I'm known to be very unique and smart as well as having guts to challenge the "usual", so I think/hope that I can get away with more.

  4. Jessica Simpson make some nice stilettoes. I have high arches so some are just too tight and they are a little pointed so I go up a size to a size 11.

I  got these two Rachines in fall 2019

And last fall (2020) I got this Rienie in Navy blue...can't have too many blue suede shoes.

But you need to act fast as the larger sizes at Jessica Simpson run out fast.

I got these JS Rollin knee highs and they fitted so well that I wanted a pair in another color, but they sold out before I could.

  5. Ah come on @mlroseplant, don't you work on your cars in heels?  What if you need a part? Do you get all dressed up to go get that part?

These old Steve Madden mules I got in 2017 have seen hundred of miles and better days. I even have a new pair still in the box as replacements. So these are my run-around heels...perfect with jeans, shorts, leggings, and sweatpants.

  6. When I started to wear high heels (over 4 inch), the doctor's okayed it with "just no stilettoes." Well, I had a pair of stilettoes, Victoria's Secret ruched hidden-platforms.  Learning to walk in stilettos is a step curve. Tile and polished concrete surfaces are deadly! Even wet walkways covered by leaves.

The fact that you wore them all day the first day is impressive!  I bet many people (women) would give up and say they can't wear heels after the first day.

  7. Manicure mostly includes the shaping of the nail and cuticle clean up on your finger nails, even hand message. It usually comes with a polish.  Then I go a little extra with art. I never heard of a French polish. So I just asked uncle google about this

"What is the difference between a manicure and a french polish" and here what he had to say.

Those booking a French polish will see their nails varnished in the expected 'French' way, but will receive minimal additional hand or nail pampering. French polishes are often less expensive than French manicures for this reason and are a great choice for those with hands and nails that are already in great condition.

I would call a French polish just a color change.

  8. I too have fingernail where the nail is crack from the root, so gels are very important to keeping my nails together. I had mani every two weeks with color with a nail artist who could do everything, gel, art, chromes,  etc.  She would come in with new stuff all the time.  When the pandemic shut the shop down she decided to move back to her home town. With the limited opening and closing during the pandemic I haven't found a new artist as good as her, so no professional mani since Feb. 2020.  I did my fingers a few times, but it hard on my hands.

  9. Surprising I get the same reaction for my knee high leather boots as I do with my nubick  booties.

Heavy rain today, roads under water and mudslides in the burn scars, so its my knee high wine boots today (maybe the Soda booties if it keeps raining...higher platform for deeper puddles).
